We were interested to have a master bath and closet addition built above our garage and contacted DII for a proposal. Our house was built in the 1940s and we wanted to ensure that the exterior would be seamless with the original architecture. The amount of buildable space is small, but Jereme and his team came up with an outstanding floor plan that exceeded our expectations to include not only the bath and closet, but a small office as well. We greatly appreciate the open line of communication with the DII team during the design phase, and the result is a set of construction drawings and 3D renderings that leave us very excited for the build phase. Were confident that DIIs recommended construction teams will build out the addition skillfully, with minds towards excellent craftsmanship and budget consciousness.

Jereme / DII Architecture did a fantastic job designing a new open floor plan for our family room, including a custom built wet bar. His design and attention to detail surpassed our expectations, while his project and relationship management skills made for a very smooth experience. Jereme really is a unique combination of both artist and technical architect/builder. We found him to be a consummate professional and we would highly recommend him for any renovation or new build.

ERR provided architectural drawings for a kitchen bump-out.  Ewa from ERR met with us to discuss the project, took measurements, provided initial drawings and then final drawings.  Ewa is great to work with. She was very patient with us and accommodated some changes. She gave us some good options we had not thought about.  Overall we were very happy with the work and service provided which was also at a fair price.

Out of five architects I interviewed for my remodeling job, Robert came in at the highest price. He seemed egocentric and contradicting my vision at times with his "roof lines", for those in the know, with the style of the house I wanted. I went with a reputable architect for just about half of RFA cost and have been extremely pleased with them. Word of advice - shop around. The more the better. The price in this review is only the architectural services.

The experience went very well. My wife and I needed assistance to better understand how we wanted to use the family room and the overall style. Sanjay helped us establish a Mid-Centry design which went with the original intent of the house.
He worked well with us to help to find furniture and a layout which worked within the style that we both really liked. He billed us hourly for time he spent visiting us, drawing up a design and selecting furniture/colors.
The Family Room went from the worst room in the house to our favorite.

We received several estimates and went with JRC.  They brought in an architect who listened and worked with us.  The window had great ideas.  The kitchen guy provided great ideas.   The project started on time (thanks to Matt walking permits through and getting it all scheduled).  The project manager was responsive, onsite when needed and handled any issues that came up on the fly.  The crew was here always early and was extremely clean professional.  The cabinet installer was fantastic.  The only downside was the company used for siding wasn't as professional and as high standard as the JRC employees.
The project ended on time and under budget.  Can't do any better than that.  We just celebrated our 2 year anniversary of the new kitchen and everything is still great.

Carol Wisniewski who is the owner did the design of the kitchen. She also coordinated all of the contractors that did the demolition, carpentry work, new floors, cabinet selection, painting, dry wall and insulation.

We started by meeting with them as a get to know you exercise. They asked us questions about our lifestyle and what we wanted out of our house. They listened and took a lot of notes. Then after about 4 weeks, we met with them again to see the initial drawing and idea that they had come up with. They showed us 3 different ideas: an attached garage, a detached garage and an environmentally low-impact home. We added some opinions about which design we liked best, then we added opinions about that particular plan. Then over the next few weeks my wife and I emailed Keith pictures of homes we liked. Keith drew up a detailed drawing of the house and then we met again. This time there were smaller adjustments and stylistic input. Shortly after, voila! We had our plans. Keith and Kirsten are both personal and professional. They are thorough and experienced. I would be very comfortable with them doing a rehab of an old home or a brand new construction.

From start to finish, it was a great experience. Ed was the only contractor who provided ideas on how to utilize the space efficiently and then created drawings to illustrate his plans. He also listened to what we wanted and was sensitive to our thoughts. We visited a couple of times to finalize exactly what we wanted to do and we saw the drawings prior to our committing to work with him. That's his process. He was open, honest, and has good instincts about design and color. His workman was on time every day, courteous, non-smoking, spoke English and kept a clean work site. Ed kept watch over the job and was very responsive. He communicates clearly and utilizes both phone and email to do so. He even looked at other areas of our house and assisted with ways to improve plus he fixed a door for us that wouldn't close correctly. He cared about us and our house. We will use him again without question.

Ed was referred by our contractor who as worked on other projects with him. He was easy to contact and responsive in follow-up phone calls. In addition, he was patient and willing to work with our changing schedules due to unforeseen personal conflicts. The results have been terrific. Ed was available throughout the construction on a consultant basis. It can be undaunting choosing materials and imagining the final effect. He had the vision with suggestions of decorating as well as addition of functional features. His experience was demonstrated in terms of understanding how to maximize space while keeping designs compatible with our lifestyle. Ed suggested moving the doorway a mere 7 inches and changing the angle of the wall which increased our buildable space immensely. His listening skills and patience were valuable as we brainstormed possible plans and drafts. We are thrilled with the outcome.
