    Schmiddy's Electric
Chris arrived promptly was very courteous. He explained everything to me as he was working and did the job in a timely manner. He also provided a military discount. The price was very reasonable. I am definitely using him again on a future project. I would highly recommend him.

We dug a shallow trench from the back of the house to the garage.  Frank installed wire in conduit from the house to inside the garage.  The wire was installed in the new garage panel and the conduit professionally installed on the wall.  Inside the house a wire was run from the house service panel to make a connection with the wire in the back yard.  A new breaker was installed in the house panel for this project.  The price included labor and parts.

    Mr. Handyman Metro East
Our repairman from Mr. Fixit was on time and efficient. He repaired quite a lot of issues in our bathroom that I mentioned above. He could repair electrical as well as plumbing issues all in one visit, plus changed a light bulb that would have been very difficult for us to replace.
The only negative to the overall experience was the cost. The company charges by the quarter hour and to me it seemed a bit pricey. They did, however, give us a discount for being Angie's list members and gave us a certificate for another discount on the next visit. We are both living on a fixed income and if we hadn't just received our tax refund it would have been difficult to afford.
I am no expert on what plumbers and electricians charge, so what seemed a bit on the high side to me might not seem that way to others. I do know one person who also does handyman repairs for a third of the cost. He was sick, so I couldn't use him this time.

    Mister Sparky Electric
After that they identified all kinds of electrical problems throughout the house and barn. They were late coming to the 1st appointment had to reschedule. Said they'd take some off the bill but did not. They finally gave us an estimate for all the work they said we needed and it was ALOT. Way more than we had expected but since I am not an electrician I relied on them to been honest with me since they were a name brand company. They completed part of the job back in June or July but did not complete all of it. We started having the breakers flip out in my barn when running multiple fans they were suppose to have that fixed but it is still not fixed in December. We were having difficulty finding a fan/heater/light unit that fit into the hole in the ceiling of the old one finally located one. Then started the process of having to get them back out to finish the job. This took a lot of phone calls. My husband missed a half day of work waiting on them to show up and they finally called and said they were running late on the previous job and would have to reschedule. Would've been nice if they'd called hours earlier when they first realized they were running late. They finally came and put the fan/heater/light unit in the bathroom after we forced them to come after 5 PM when I knew my husband would be home to deal with them. We told them we were still having the breakers flip out in the barn when multiple things were plugged in. This did not happen before they did whatever work they did in my barn. This issue has not been resolved. On the bill that they submitted as the final one it has another charge written in on it for $480 to add a new outlet for our refrigerator. This charge is not on our original estimate yet it was paid for on the credit plan that they had us sign when they came the first day to do the work. No new outlet was added for our refrigerator. We rolled the refrigerator out from the wall and confirmed this. My husband is trying to get hold of them to dispute the $480 charge since this was not part of our original agreement and the work was not done. As you can see this experience was horrible and I want to get the barn issue resolved and I want the $480 overcharge to be credited back to me. At the cost of $7,000 this type of service is more than ridiculous.

    AC Wiring Solutions

Andrew was very thorough and explained what would be done, how long the job would take and the approximate cost. They completed the work on time and the cost was what he estimated. I would definitely call him again for more electrical work and I have recommended his company to others.
