    Dr. Matthew David Mclaughlin
He is very good. He is very competent. I have been with him for two years because I have kidney disease. He literally saved my kidneys twice. Once you get one-on-one through the office crowd, they are all very good.

I brought my 90 year old mother in from another City. She had repeated urinary track yeast infections which other doc's thru anti-biotics at. (Like throwing gas on a fire). Dr. Golden understood that and treated her with a die, therefore releaving her problem for the first time in 5 years. His chairside manner was very communicative and informative. Thanks Dr. Golden for making mom's last year pain free

    Comprehensive Urologic Care
Everything save 1 point went superbly. These folks saw me on relatively short notice and treated me well. Sensible people too who communicate very well. That one point that didn't go superbly? When you fill out the usual form asking for all your personal information, they ask for your social security number. As per my usual practice I left that blank. And, there were no questions at the time when I turned the form back in. Later, however, I received emails saying that information was being conveyed to me via their website which I could privately access. That is a worthy service; my regular doc does that and I love getting immediate access to lab test results and such. When I went to access my account at their website, however, one of the REQUIRED inputs is . . . your social security number. In this day and age of identify fraud? Really? So there's a nasty catch in receiving service from these folks - if you aren't willing to part with your social security number, you will not have access to your on-line reports, communications, and so forth. That strikes me as extremely patient-unfriendly and inappropriate.

We sat for over an hour waiting for the appt. When we got in to see Dr. David J Mikkelson for the first time, he did not apologize for his lateness or welcome us. He sat down, asked questions, took notes but did not allow my husband to explain what my husband thought was important relevant information. He cut him off and told him that he would control the discussion. He gave a thorough physical exam and took blood work. His manner put both of us off.

    Spokane Urology
My husband was admitted to the hospital with kidney stones. He ended up with an infection while he was in there, and was in for 3 weeks afterwards. We went back for a follow-up surgery, and the surgeon was the most hands off doctor we have ever experienced. It was not a pleasant experience.

He does not have a great bedside manner. I did not feel like he listened to what I said. I will not use him again in the future.

Poorly at best.  Very gruff, upset that I had sought information from other sources, unable to be specific on what I should expect and apparently unprepared for the procedure (urolift) I had been told he could perform.  Told me I was unsuitable for procedure even though he had not examined me: Reason -  I researched information from other sources.  Resentful of any hint of a patient/provider partnership or a proactive patient.
