    BRICKEN BRACKEN STONE
Workmen came to our home late morning of 8-14-09 to remove lava rock walls and floor. The 2 young workmen began to dismantle the walls with sledge hammers and crow bars. Mr Cheney was present at this time and discussed how to keep the dust contained by using plastic, etc. We left the workmen in our home for the afternoon - returned to find that no dust/dirt containment was done - at all. The entire house was covered in a thick layer of lava dust (pumice). The workmen apologized for "trashing" my house..... I spoke briefly with Mr Cheney - he too apologized and offered to do anything he could to help. That night my husband and I each spent over 3 hours cleaning and I then spent over 9 hours the next day going over every surface carefully trying to remove the dust without damaging surfaces. The next day (Sunday) I spoke with Mr Cheney and told him that I did not trust him to complete the work - anyone who would allow that kind of pre-work could certainly not do a good job on the finish work. Mr Cheney agreed to return my deposit - in full - but to date 10-13-09 I have not received any of that money.
