    I was trying to hire them to do exterior work, painting of a home. I was able to secure a quote from them which they gave me some time ago, but they had resurrected an old quote. Everything seemed to be fine. You couldn't talk to the owner directly. He worked through his wife who mostly handled the appointments and probably the accounting. The reason I am bringing this up is because it was not a very good experience. We accepted a week, in other words I accepted their quote and every thing seemed fine. The only thing I needed is for the owner to confirm a few questions and the questions I had were, can you please confirm for example the price because it was an old quote and that's the only thing i received is a copy of the old quote. And then also what would be the experience level of the crew that would be assigned to my project. I always as that, even though every owner thinks they have the best crew in the world. But it is nice to ask that. Then I asked about the paint type that would be used because i have stucco with some cracking and would it be kind of a thicker paint. And that's really about it. It was almost midnight 2 days ago I got the rudest response saying that the questions I had asked him, he had never received questions like that in the 15 years he has been in business. He thought they were very vague and in so many words he said he didn't think he could work with me. I mean totally threw me under the bus without even giving me a chance to respond. A lot of times things can be lost in an email. So I asked him, I kind of bit my tongue, I said, I didn't mean to insult you, your crew is I'm sure fine, but your taking this way too seriously. Please call me because I think you can get things lost in translation. I'm not exaggerating any of this. You can get things lost in translation on emails. And, I said please contact me because I would still like you to do the work. It's been over a week and he has not contacted me, but it was such an unprofessional response. My thought is that he just did not want to honor the quote. I don't know. But he has not called so I want to report that incident from just about a week ago as an F. It was a reasonable quote and I had no objection to that and I think he probably would have done a nice job but I don't why he took what I said so personally. I think maybe he thought I was questioning the experience level of his crew. But still, that's no reason to treat a customer so badly so I definitely want to report that. I cant use them again because this guy is a hot head. It just makes me concerned that what if I had a legitimate issue after they did the painting work. Is he going to bite my head off again? It was a very bad experience, that is the reason I am relaying to you is because I think they would have done a nice job, I have nothing to say about that. The first experience was a positive one. Its just, I don't know why he took that stuff so seriously. when it was just, I think, some very basic questions. And, even if he considered them vague, give the customer the benefit of the doubt, just call them. Most miscommunications can be resolved over the phone, because chances are is that's all it was, he just took it the wrong way. It was not a very pleasant experience.

    After 2 months we are still trying to get things corrected. Salesman was great - workers and job bad. Had to have them redo one gate - first time they forgot to allow for it and then had to have them redo because the wind would blow it open.Another gate installed wrong size first time, and we are now on the 3rd service call to get it to open. They are now going to have to replace the sides of the gate because they have drilled so many holes trying to get a gate hung properly. Wire installation is a joke - uneven, left sharp metal poking out - slapped it up however. Did not use the same amount of connectors, and when they went back to redo they just screwed on more, some posts have 2 holding up the fence and others have as many as ten. Looks terrible. Again this is the 3rd time they will be out to correct. Their work is far from acceptable. Have looked at other fences in our area and non have the issues I have.

    We were guaranteed two heavy coats of high-end paint.  He switched the paint out on us after the fact.  He didn’t put the hardware back correctly.  We had to have an electrician come back and reset the fans.  We gave him $200 more to fix the chipped paint from the carpenters and he hasn’t come back to fix that.

    I contacted Matt and he came to my home for an estimate on the job. He listened well to my ideas and shared ideas from his past experience as well. He took measurements of the existing concrete pad and checked the vinyl fencing in my backyard for needed repairs. He stated that he would have an estimate to me very soon and that he could have the job completed and installed in about 3 days once the bid was accepted. The job was completed very well and seems to be perfectly fitted for my dog's needs. He also repaired my fencing for free!

    Update: On 2/3/14 I contacted Matt to ask for ideas to reinforce the bottom of the kennel as my dog found a way to escape. He was very responsive and came to work on the problem that same day. His timely response was very much appreciated! I believe that Matt will support this need until we find the best answer for keeping my dog safe in the kennel.

    After giving a bid, the subcontractor never showed up over a two month period.  Brilliant services construction manager agreed to have another stucco repair company do the work who also never showed up. He then wanted to send the original subcontractor after admitting he had no confidence in that individual, at which point I cancelled the job.

    Ryan is one busy guy! And that's a good sign! Obviously he has a lot of business and as the old addage goes, "If you want a job done correctly, find a busy person." When I first contacted him he needed to get back to me to schedule a date and time that would work for him. After a few re-tries on my part we scheduled a three hour handyman job that consisted of painting a second story gable that was impossible to reach for my equipment. The second job was to install an exhaust fan in an under-the-house crawl space. Both jobs were done exceedingly well and well worth the charge. He was meticulous with the painting, using a brush instead of a roller and was exceptionally neat. Under the house required him to shimmy into a tight crawl space too tight for me to navigate and install an exhaust fan for drying out the crawl space. I had purchased a Groupon for $89 that would have been normally $229 and it would have been worth the complete charge! I highly recommend him and his work!
