AMIDWEST RADONI live in a rural area of Idaho and did not find companies close to me. Searching the internet, I found Midwest Radon and was impressed by the detailed information provided on their website. I called to see if they would make a recommendation for a company in my surrounding area. Gary did not have a recommendation around here but he talked with me at length about mitigation methods and materials. He was very knowledgeable, as evidenced by code, professional society, and ASTM citations. I found his discussion very helpful. If I lived in his service area he would definitely be my pick!- James M.

ASERVICE MASTER OF MAGIC VALLEYThe sewer backed up into the basement and the owners of the house called ServiceMaster.. They came right out and did an amazing clean up job. They came and checked their fans and humidifiers and cut the dry wall that had been moldy out. Each person that came out was good at their job, and very friendly.. Great company, I would recommend them for any job, and I will be using them in the future.- Jessie M.

APremier Basement SystemsWe bought the simple radon detection test and found that we had a serious radon problem. Our test restults came back at 50 pc vs. the 4 that is allowed. I got three estimates from radon abatement companies. While all of the do work in this area and are licensed, Premier Basements is local. (One contractor services all of Idaho and the other is based out of Spokane.) Also, they matched another contractor's slightly lower rice and were available sooner to start the work. They put in the system as promised and did a great job. They kept the worksite clean and cleaned up after themselves when they were done. Unfortunatlely, the system they put in didnt' bring our radon level down enough. They were reading about 9 with the new system. HOWEVER, Premier Basements guarantees their work, so they came back and put a bigger fan on the system and retested. They got the levels down to 0.4, which we were very happy with. Our dealings with Monte, Heather, and the two installers were excellent. They area ll professionals and did their jobs well. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for radon abatement work. I would also give them a call if I had a wet basement or needed other work in their areas of expertise. We were very satisfied. Mary- Mary W.

AK&K Consultants Home Inspections & MoreDean spent 5.5 hours with my husband going through every aspect of the home and supplied a printed report that same afternoon before they left the house. The house we were looking at was built in 1965 and sits on 6 acres in a rural area. He was extremely thorough, pointing out several things that needed attention including foundation, roofing, electrical, etc. We already knew the home needed a lot of work, but Dean helped us move forward with a decision to purchase with our eyes wide open. At his suggestion, we spoke to several contractors and now have an even better idea of what needs to be done on the house. He has been extremely kind in answering numerous calls from me, including a very long conversation after the inspection to explain things to me since I wasn't able to be there with my husband when the inspection was done. He has continued to answer emails from me with further questions and requests for advice. We plan to keep his report as a reference as we go through the remodel and updating of our new home.- Vickie C.

AImagine if you will, it’s 4 days past Christmas 2019, your winding down, and you head to O’Mallys in Rathdrum for some tasty eats. 4 hours or so pass, You and the family are now teetering on sleep and its time to call it a night, so you head home in anticipation of some needed rest from the Chaos of the Holidays. You pull up to the House, and its on fire! That is what happened to my Family on Dec 29th, 2019. Let me tell you, you are never prepared for a Fire, period. By Gods Grace all pets made it out through doggie door, and nobody was hurt. With emotions flowing we call 911, duh! Then USAA. Getting threw that first night was utter horrible at best. But during that night we had to call someone to come help salvage/rebuild the home. Being completely ignorant on how the systems works, we asked a Fire Fighter in his professional opinion, who would he personally use in this horrible scenario. He stated DKI, so we went all in blindly with said company. I will save the exact details for another venue, but fast forward 4 months, after several lies, literally 30+ days of zero work being done, and a recommendation by USAA to fire DKI within the first 3 weeks of the fire, we finally gave up on them. Now feeling like victims for the second time. I called Creekside Construction, and this is the part of the Story where you should insert the Original Superman Music, because Dave Adam and Steve Cates came swooping in and literally saved us. They took over the job, the paperwork, the communication with USAA and hit the ground running. I kid you not, Dave showed up to my house the very next day, had 5+ subs in there, and was delegating orders like Patton in WW2. It was impressive, because you could see in each sub-contractors eyes and by there demeanor, they enjoyed working with Creekside and wanted to be there. It took another 5 months, but the job was done, and exceeded my expectations. My wife teared up, when she saw the finished work, that alone is all you would need to know about Creekside, but I’m not done. Lets check some boxes, Professionalism, highly skilled sub-contractors, diligence, quality workmanship, high end materials, outstanding communication, and complete Loyalty to the customer. My wife and I always knew where we stood with Creekside, and were never left hangin gin the dark. Yes, there were small mishaps, but that happens on almost all jobs in construction but each issue was rectified promptly and above satisfaction. We knew Creekside had our back from day one, Dave Adams stood by our side’s ready as if we were getting into a rumble like the Movie Outsiders. I cannot thank Creekside enough for what they did for my family. I wish there was something I could do to show my complete appreciation, so I hope this small token of a review helps someone else in need, and steers them to Creekside before they make the same mistake we did, wasting time and money with another derelict company. Just know in this chaotic world we live in right now, there are still genuine trustworthy people still out there to help us along, and Creekside Construction is a complete embodiment of those values. -Much Respect and Gratitude, Ferris Family, Rathdrum Idaho

DIt seemed to go OK - he was on time and friendly. But, after the inspection we discovered that a number of issues had been overlooked or poorly evaluated. Through a series of unexpected circumstances, we've moved 4 times in the past 6 years - yuck! That, combined with the fact that we've owned about 10 houses over the years (including 2 ranches) has given us a lot of exposure to inspectors. This inspector just missed too many things & didn't pay attention to details. For example, the shop had an attic that was accessed by a drop down ladder. The inspector had noted that the roof was in poor shape, but he failed to climb the ladder to see if it had been leaking. He stated that "access to ladder was obstructed and he could not access the attic." But the realtor and I both had no trouble in dropping the ladder and crawling up for a look. There was no blockage AT ALL! Unfortunately, we didn't have a flashlight, so we couldn't see much. In my opinion, he just got lazy or in a hurry. His failure ultimately will cost us over $10,000 - the shop roof was leaking and now needs a full replacement. Had he simply taken the time to check this out - especially since he'd already noted the roof was in poor condition (which should have been a red-flag causing him to investigate further) we could have required to seller to address the issue - but he just blew it off and by the time I could look again (we lived three hours from home in question), and take a flashlight, the inspection period had passed. Access was unhampered, he just chose not to do his job and justified it by saying access was blocked. He failed in a number of other ways too (like a failure to conduct or even suggest radon testing). Very disappointed. If you want a quick, "once over lightly" inspection, he's your guy. If you need a detailed assessment of a property you're planning to buy, I would not recommend him - period!

DVery kind man and seem to be thorough; Upon moving in found some serious code violations. I contacted the company he fixed one of the problems he came out and fixed one of the problems for at his cost, no cost to me, I asked about the more serious code violation and he has not called me back. I would not use KK consultants again.

FAvoid these people!!!!!! They are the worst. They tell you lie after lie and take forever to do the work. My insurance company called them in even though it was not in my best interest. I regret the day I let them in my front door, and I regret the day I let Allstate insure my house.
