DStarted out ok, but finished product was unacceptable, as the floor is not level. I gave them the chance to correct the problem and it is a worse mess! Photos are from second chance.

AA very impressive company. Daniel met us at our home within one day of our request for an estimate. He told us what the work would entail and answered all of our many questions. He was able to schedule the job within 10 days thereafter. He ALWAYS returned our phone calls before and during the job. We had met with two other paving companies and were unimpressed with both of them. Black Diamond crew and equipment arrived exactly when expected. Daniel texted us that morning to advise that he would be 10 minutes late. He arrived 10 minutes later. They prepped the existing driveway thoroughly and worked incessantly on two very hot days. Our driveway includes a basketball area, and a fork off to a pole barn. They had to remove several sections of the driveway that had deteriorated with age, then they built up those areas and lastly put down 1 1/2+ inches of asphalt over the entire 8,450 sq ft . It was a major undertaking and not inexpensive. We had never had to contract for asphalt paving before. It looks fantastic. It has enhanced our entire property.

DWe recently purchased a home and needed some fence repair, We scheduled a bid/estimate appointment for about a week later. During the intervening days, we were able to rectify the problem. As is common when purchasing a new home, moving, unpacking, and work-life occupies one's existence. When the office employee called to confirm the appointment for the next day, She was offended that I had not called them first. If you are looking for a company where the employees berate you, this is the company for you.

Recent Review:
FCapstone Construction is still practicing this: I left negative reviews online, on my FB, on Google etc. They sent a letter to us threatening to charge us a $100.00 a day if we and our friends do not delete the negative reviews. They stated it was on their contract that we signed. It was during an emergency, our basement was flooded. We called Capstone and as I had the phone on speaker, I asked what the cost would be if they came to pump the water out. I was told since its after hours, it would be $90.00 an hour. When they arrived there was 18 inches of water in our basement. Before they got started they handed my husband the contract. My husband quickly signed it so that they would begin pumping the water out. On the back page, it was in their contract that negative reviews would cost $100.00 a day, added to our bill. They over charged us approx. 3x the cost quoted, and they blatantly lied on their response to the Attorney General. This company is dirty, they have intimidated consumers not to write poor reviews. It is apparent that this is their regular practice, if a company did good, fair, honest work, they wouldn't have to put that clause on the back of their contract...I do not recommend them, the flood and loss was bad enough, then we find out we hired a crooked unethical company that will, intimidate, lie and cheat the consumer.

FIt has taken me two years to write this because I just didn’t know what to think of the whole ordeal. I’m finally ready to share so no one makes the same mistake that I did. I own a roughly 920 sq ft home in Covington with a one car garage. I ran across this company at Enumclaw Wine Walk in 2015 or so and expressed interest n siding or roofing as both were really needed on my home. They called for over a year before I finally agreed to have them out to look at the siding. When the salesman arrived, he mentioned the roof needed repair more than the siding. I agreed as he wasn’t wrong. He pressed and pressed me to go in my house, sit down and look at options for a roof. He was a bit smarmy and kind of made me nervous, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to have him give me an estimate. Once inside, he continued to press and made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. I’m a single female and had him over at a time where my neighbors weren’t home. I felt a bit trapped in my own house. This man saw an opportunity to make a sale and he pressed until it happened. I became emotional and called a couple of friends for advice. When I gave the quote amount to one he advised me not to sign this contract. It was way too much. My dad; however, was very concerned that my house stay in good order so he advised me to just sign and assured me he would help with the financial impact. I’m a teacher in the local community and while the cost of a roof isn’t exactly easy for anyone, it was especially impactful on my salary at he time. The salesman quoted me roughly $13,900 for the roof on my tiny house. As Tim passed, I was so uncomfortable that I finally just signed the contract to get him out of my house. I knew I had three days to back out and planned to do so, but my roof ended up leaking and I needed someone to call for help. Rainier it was. I will give them credit for being responsive in that way. This salesperson knew I was nervous about who would be over to do the work and when. He promised he would watch out for me the whole way. Imagine my surprise when I got a call from my neighbor while I was at work telling me the roofers has ascended, in all sorts of unmarked, personal vehicles. One thing I had asked explicitly is if they’d be showing up on schedule in company vehicles, I was assured they would. Nope. They didn’t even give notice when they came. The company did feel bad enough about this scheduling snafu that they sent a small Visa gift card for the trouble. Now, two years later, the quality of the roof is fine, some soft spots still, but it certainly is no better than any of my neighbors’ roofs. It should have cost no more than $8,000 at the very most. I was set up with their financing at Salal Credit Union on a 10 year payoff and have made absolutely no progress towards chipping away at the principal. I finally moved the loan to BECU and will pay it off within a couple years. How did I get myself into this? I don’t know. I should have gotten multiple offers. I should have been stronger with the salesman. I should have stood up for myself. I didn’t. And the sad thing is the company saw that as an opportunity to capitalize on a sale. Where are the ethics? How many people do they do this to? How do they look at themselves in the mirror? (Probably the mirror of a sports car my teacher salary is paying for.) Ya, they put a decent roof on, but almost every other aspect of what they told me was a lie to close the deal....at nearly double the price I should have paid. Please, if you’re still reading, use my experience as a cautionary tale. Be prepared for what you are doing, have support, if you are young or a first time owner...don’t do this alone. And definitely do not use this company without having done a ton of research first!!!
