    Mcinnis, Dr. Douglas P
This Doctor failed to tell me of the enormous risk of this surgery. (nerve damage, loss of my grip, numbness etc.) He did not tell me of some better alternatives to this surgery. He also failed to tell me in our expensive "consultation" that he only works on unconscious patients. He was always too busy to talk to me afterward which should have been a red flag. Once he talked me into doing this very ill advised surgery he never saw me or spoke to me again until after the surgery turned out poorly. Never returned phone calls, never saw me in the hospital before or after surgery etc. Screws were sticking into my wrist joint, sticking into my muscles and cutting the tendons to my hand. He "tugged" on the medial nerve enough to cause permanent damage. When I complained he fired me. He did NOT put my rebuttals to his notes in my chart, refused to let me have copies of all of my chart etc. Then he insinuated that I was a crazy person. He was specifically told that I didn't want the surgery if it included general anesthetic which I could neither afford nor needed nor wanted. He pretended that he went along with the nerve block, but the minute he arrived in the OR he demanded that I receive general anesthetic. There was no informed consent for the surgery or the anesthesia. Nobody explained anything to me, just proceeded as if I wasn't even there, against my objections. I had to get the surgery redone by somebody else before it could completely destroy my hand. This is all well documented. I can't seem to sue him, so all I can do is warn others. Don't trust this man, Aaron Lybarger CRNA, Dr. Brinkman MD anesthesiologist or anybody else at Kootenai Medical Center. Kootenai Medical Center has no fiduciary duty to keep their patients safe as explained to my former attorney. So many laws were broken when it came to my care it isn't even funny and there is nothing that can be done. Which is exactly why I was treated with such disrespect and disdain.

Everything went as well as expected, other than the bedside manner of Dr. Anderson.  His skills are sufficient.

Quick in, nice staff, took quick x-rays with results (that does not always happen! Was in-house) very knowledgable staff.
