    Appliance Repair Service By Kerry
He found it to be in perfect working order. I thought my two front burners had broken as they weren't heating to the full 10" diameter. Rather than just ordering the parts Kerry came out to make sure that was the problem. What he found was that there is a switch for each of those burners that will adjust the heating diameter to either 4" or 10". They had both accidentally gotten set on the 4" diameter. He then called to tell me what the problem was and also gave me some tips on how to best use the glass top based on how it functions. I've used Kerry for appliances for at least the last 8-10 years and love his integrity, honesty and skill. I once had an ice maker that wasn't freezing the cubes totally. When I asked him about it, he asked if the unit was in the sun at all. I said, Yes...in the afternoon. He suggested I  block the window with a blind and see what happens to the ice. The ice maker worked perfectly after that. He will never "fix" something that doesn't need fixing! I will never use anyone other than Kerry for any of my appliances. So he better outlive me!

    Jeffrey's Appliance Service Inc
He showed up on time and called before he arrived to let us know that he was on his way. He fixed the dishwasher very quickly and was super nice. When we set up the appointment the service team was very nice and kept us informed of what was going on due to the fact that we had to have a part ordered. The dishwasher we have is an Asko which is an imported brand for Switzerland so we were not surprised when we where told that they would have to order in a new part.

    Rick's Appliance
Called Rick. He was able to come over the same day and diagnosis the problem. I had already removed the front kick plate to see under the washer. Right off the bat he showed me where one of the two shock absorbers was broken. Then took off the tubes leading to the discharge pump and removed on obstruction he found there. He reattached the electrical to the pump and it appeared to work properly although it was still making a fair amount of noise. He reattached the hoses then tested by running the cycle to fill the drum then turned it so it emptied the drum. It worked. Rick said he could return tomorrow with the shock absorber. He recommended putting a few loads through the machine that night to ensure it was working properly.

I ran two loads through the washer that night. First load ran properly, second load didn't drain again.

Rick called the next morning after getting the price of the shock absorbers to check and ensure it was okay. I informed him that it didn't drain last night, he said he'd check on the price of a replacement pump and call me right back. He called back within about 10 minutes with the price of a new pump, which was close to the price I was finding them for on the internet. He stated he also had some good reconditioned pumps that he had repaired for about half the price of a new pump. I went for the reconditioned pump.

Rick came at the agreed upon time and replaced the shock absorbers and the pump. His price was very reasonable and after three loads, all seems to be going well.

    I would highly recommend Rick.

    River City Appliance Repair

The washer was completing all cycles except for the spin cycle.  The technician took it apart and determined that the "motor control board" needed to be replaced.  The total cost for repairs was over $400.00.  I asked them to order the part and they replaced it 1 week later.  At that time, the washer operated properly for 1 load and then had the exact same problem as it had initially.  I called them and let them know the same problem was occurring at which point he suggested that it might be an electrical problem and I should probably call an electrician.  After some discussion during which I explained that since the machine was functioning correctly other than the spin cycle he said he would send the technician out again.  I explained to the technician that the machine had the same problem that it did before they fixed it.  This time he cleaned the coin trap and thought that would fix it.  It did not.  After describing the problem on the phone with his boss, the technician informed me that the door lock switch was bad and that was causing the machine to not spin.  He informed me that the part would be $75.00.  I told him that I was very unhappy with the fact that I had already spent over $400.00 for a part that was not the problem.  He then told me that the original part going bad most likely caused the door switch to go bad.  Good grief.  He then charged me another $70.00 (plus 3 1/2% fee for using a credit card) for coming out again.  I thanked him, told him I was not happy and that I would order the new part for $24.00 online.

All in all, it is my feeling that the technician did not have the training and/or experience to diagnose the problem in the first place.  He told me that when his boss told him to check the vacuum line for the pump that "he didn't even know these washers had those".  Unfortunately this was after I had already paid to replace the wrong part.

I definitely would not recommend this repair firm to anybody.

    HOLECEK APPLIANCE SVC
We were impressed with Holecek when they installed our new washer and dryer, so we called them when we needed some warranty work done. They came the same day, helped us with some warranty questions and completed the work quickly and professionally. Naturally, we called them when our refrigerator broke. Same prompt, courteous, professional response and the repair cost was more than reasonable. We wouldn't consider using anyone else for an applicance repair. They are the best I have ever experienced!
