    CUSTOM KRITTERS
I wanted my large dog clipped bathed and her nails clipped. 40 dollars seemed reasonable. Her coat was shaved to one length and blended well to the hair on her face legs and head. She looked great and i am pleased with the results. Thank you.

    HAIR OF THE DOG GROOMING

My miniature poodle had to be clipped short because of hair mats.  There were no razor burns and he liked the groomer. I don't remember the exact cost, just remember thinking it was reasonable but higher than I was used to paying at the previous groomers.

Tessa is very professional & she really loves the animals! I haven't had any problems with her service for years. Another groomer I used before going to Pariffic poked my dog in the fur & caused an infection, that's when I switched. Paw tiffin is the best!

    CUSTOM KRITTERS
Since our regular groomer had to quit for medical reasons, we were a bit unsure of who to go to. I read a review about Custom Kritters, and thought we'd give it a try. The Mom/daughter team were very friendly and listened to the information about the dogs and their backgrounds. We received a call when they were done and both dogs seemed happy and not stressed. The brush out was not the same as we were used to, but we were spoiled. The guys looked fine but didn't look as great or smell as wonderful as our previous groomer. I'll be looking for another groomer.

    LUCKY DOG
This was the second time I used this groomer, and I will continue to use her. I got an appointment within a few days of my phone call. The shop is clean and odor free. She did an excellent job, even though my dog's curly hair had gotten matted. He is also very sensitive to a hot razor, but there was no trace of razor burn. His anal glands weren't irritated by being cleaned., and his nails were trimmed nicely. She was finished grooming him earlier than she'd expected. Although she'd given him a relatively short cut (necessary to get rid of the mats) and I hadn't asked for any particular style, he looked good. She shaved a 1/4 in. strip around the base of his short tail, which gives the tail a kind of poofy look that's really cute; no one else has ever done this, and it adds a little bit of class to my fluffy mutt. He was glad to see the groomer when we arrived, was still happy when I picked him up. He likes the groomer and I like the work she did. We've tried a lot of groomers in Pocatello, and for me and my dog she's the hands-down best.

Tessa is an amazing groomer, she takes her time and is very gentle with the animals. This was my puppy's first grooming appointment and she did a fabulous job on a very squirmy puppy. I will only take my dog in to her.

    MA N PAWS PET PARLOR
My dog has very sensitive skin. I warned them that they needed to use the clippers on his belly first, before they got too hot, or his skin would blister. However, they forgot, and the blisters kept him uncomfortable for several days. Besides that, the haircut was uneven.
Another problem is that they are very busy so it's hard to get an appointment.
However, he was very happy there and seemed to enjoy the experience, and they didn't mind keeping him for a half-day while I was working. Also, although the haircut was uneven, the styling was basically very good.
My mother has used this company for many years and they give her fabulous service; she no longer drives and they pick up and deliver her dog. I have other friends who use them and like them very much. So although my experience was so-so, it has a lot going for it. My experience with other groomers in this community has mostly been worse. I am using another groomer now, but I have problems with her as well, so I am considering going back.

    LUCKY DOG
It went very well, other places I have had my dog to have not been what I would like, my dog would shy away and go hind but not with this place! He enjoys it and her. She is very good with the animals from what I have seen. I will keep taking my dog to her.

    MA N PAWS PET PARLOR
Overall it went extremely horrible, and I'm very disgusted, angry and concerned how carless, inattentive and irresponsible this business is! I should of listened to my gut instinct as when I left I circled the block and was going to pick him up and cancel as the groomer said he would get to him in a half hour which I was not happy with as we were on time right at 2:30p.m. and felt we should of gotten a  courtesy call letting us know that they were running behind, that is the least of it, but it was a bit bothering. This business has been around for quite sometime and it's only 3 blocks from our home, and when I spoke with one of the groomers on the phone asking questions and explaining my Nacho pug's story, his health problems and my concerns she seemed genuinely truly empathetic, caring and made the owner who would be grooming Nacho out to be some sort of Pug Expert and that he's so good that people come from American Falls, Idaho which is 25 miles from Pocatello, Idaho where I live to have their "pugs" groomed by Doug the Owner of Ma N' Paws Pet Parlor!
She described the back yard like it was a little pretty grassy area that was well kept for the dogs to go out and roam, get air, play and do their business while waiting to be groomed, and all dogs that got along with other dogs were free to roam about, play and socialize, it was exactly what we were looking for, was to good to be true a new pet groomer 3 blocks away with reasonable pricing and a family home feeling type of environment that caters to the customers pets and even snacks are given etc...June 6th 2011 was the actual day i drove to my friends farm to rescue my new baby pug Nacho and about 5 days later I needed to have his nails clipped and I took him into Ma N' Paws Pet Parlor. It's an old house nothing fancy, but it wasn't unkept nor even close to torn up as it was when I went in that day to get Nacho's nails clipped! Lady working was an older woman, very nice and showed me exactly how to hold him, turning his paws outward and clipping his nails fast and correct it was over and done in a flash. When I asked about her when I brought Nacho in he stated she retired.
So when I picked up Nacho I walked in and could hear him choking and unable to catch his breath, a weird pant, not the usual anxious puggy breathing it was horrible and I was freaking out, I was like why is he choking what happened? He just sorta stood their and said he's probably just nervous and didn't really seem concerned, his overall groom looked good, shiny good smelling furr with a cute bandana around his neck but why would you put a bandana around his neck with collar when the dog is clearly having serious breathing problems? I hurried and got my Nacho pug into the car and ripped off his bandana and collar, bandana was a bit tight but nothing that could cause this choking, he wad drinking water and gasping poor dog, I hurried and went back in and asked him again, he didn't really have much to say as to why he's choking? Then procceeded to tell me he cut his right paw toe nail "pretty-bad" and that it was bleeding "pretty-bad" and that if it starts to bleed again to put flour or corn starch on it to stop the bleeding!
He seemed a bit sorry but did not apologize for it nor did he apologize or show any concern that my Pug was clearly having severe breathing problems! I paid him his $30.00 with his $3.00 tip in a hurry and rushed out the door, I was in frantic mode, not enough time for it to sink in, got my baby puggy home to fresh water and a cool quiet home to relax, still was breathing horrible and wasn't stopping so I called my veterinarian, they said he should improve soon just keep watch and if he shows any signs of other breathing problems to bring him in on Saturday. I explained to her about the badly cut toe, she described the pain as having your finger slammed in a door badly when it's bleeding that bad! My dog is still limping tonight and is in pain, keeps licking his paw and limps. His breathing is back to normal and basically he's back to normal.
I forgot to add that the place was seriously filthy and in serious need of repairs on the floor, with un-kept floors and overall un-kept on all sanitary, disinfecting, and odor it increases over time for and from the looks of it they hadn't done a deep clean nor truly have kept the floors and areas clean nor sanitary enough, making for a Cess pool of growing bacteria, infectious waste and possible diseases to be spread amongst the dogs. It really made me worry double as they do not require dogs to be vaccinated, and when I drove through the alley to see this little backyard that was made out to be so nice, it was all mud, no grass, a filthy rotted dog house and huge tree branches and sticks piled to the house sitting against the wall. It doesn't take a lot of money to put a piece of sod for some nice grass in that small of an area and having those sticks and tree branches piled poking out is a hazard for any dog to poke his eye out, get stabbed and pugs eyes are already bug out, and they are more susceptible for corneal scratches!
Feces and urine that hasn't been picked up in a pile of mud and filth isn't safe for any dog and frankly I feel that this place should not be in business! Seems to be maybe they have just slacked off, over worked and tired and they have allowed their business to go downhill and although I'm giving them a bad review, from the vibe's I got from them, they seemed like genuinely good people, nacho pug went right up to Doug the owner and was loving on him and he doesn't do that with men. They were not rude, nor showed any negative attitudes but seemed over worked and the owner seemed out of tune. Not sure if he's suffering from health problems, over worked or whatever it is that made him so forgetful, spaced out and I had to repeat myself when I first brought Nacho in. I told him my address and he kept thinking I lived in American Falls, if he was attentive and listening I had told him I heard great things about his work and that many pug owners who lived in American Falls bring their pugs to him to have them groomed.
I told him twice I lived 3 blocks from Ma N' Paws Pet Parlor on Sublette he was so confused and apologized said it was that time of day? 2:30pm that time of day? It seemed he wasn't quite with it and I cannot accuse or assume as I do not know what was causing his out of tune zoning out demeanor, but all I know whatever it was if your not with it and unable to perform your job especially working with animals then be "responsible" and stay home! I felt it was important for me to give this review as I have let a lot of things slide and customer service is crucial in these times we live in and most of all sanitary and safe work environments are the most important of all. I wasn't aware that it was not a law for groomers to make their customers have their dogs up to date on vaccinations? I suppose it boils down to many thinking well it's just an animal, just a dog but to others and like myself this dog is my family and he deserves the same rights and respect as anyone! May sound a bit exaggerated, but it is how I feel and I will not let anymore things slide when it's called for attention and prevents others from having a bad experiences or puts their animals, kids and loved ones in danger, I will right the truth and every single stinky detail when it comes to care for humans and pets! Thank-you Delilah Ramirez and Nacho Pug

    CUSTOM KRITTERS
I called for an appointment. Their normal starting time is 8:00 but I need to be at work before then; the groomer came in early to accommodate me. My dog was ready to be picked up at noon, when I wanted to get him. He looked pretty good and he was happy; the bill was very reasonable. However, two days later I came home and he was lying in the sun shivering, and for the first time since I've owned him (over 2 years) he didn't greet me at the door. I was worried and took him to the vet's. After a complete exam the vet told me that he appeared fine, but he was cold because his hair was cut too short for a slender dog going into winter. When I got home I put on his jacket, which he has always refused to wear, and he has worn it happily ever since. The vet also told me that his nails should have been cut shorter.
Considering the price I paid and my ability to get an appointment when I needed one, I will probably use this groomer again; however, I will be more explicit when giving instructions.
