    Bailey, Dr. Jordan L.
Great - I was able to get in the next day, even as a brand new patient new to the area. I was seen by the PA and she was very professional, very personable, and thorough in her evaluation, diagnosis and treatment recommendations. The environment was not rushed, and I felt that whatever time was needed for my visit was available. I left feeling very good about the entire experience. Treatment was successful and I plan on using this office for my primary care.

    McGee, Dr. Kraig C.
Dr. McGee is very knowledgeable and professional in his manner. He explained my situation with my ear with clarity and knew exactly what had to be done to repair it. The office is well run and courteous.

I found him to be incompetent. I have been at several large hospitals and have seen the best surgeons in the US. Not up to date on newer procedures on cardiac abrasion, over prescribed a beta blocker for me. The pharmacist called the doctor to be sure about the dosage. The doctor assured them it was correct, but it was a dangerous amount. I think he is senile!

    Walter Birkenhagen MD
Dr. Birkenhagen said recovery would take 6 months. Recovery took 1 year and 9 months. Most patients may take 6 months to heal, but on line I'm finding out a large percentage take a year or longer to heal. I understand that doctors tend to promote their own procedures more than other possibly more advantageous alternative procedures. The problem with a brand new procedure like LINX  is that it is actually promoted in a way that tends to gloss over the negative details like the degree of pain involved in 6 months recovery - WHICH CAN BE AS BAD AS THE GERD CONDITION IT WAS SUPPOSED TO HEAL. Plus no long term information over 5 years is available - complications long term could arise. With Laparoscopic Fundoplication long term compications are minimal though they do exhist.|Also, Dr. Birkenhagen never emphasized diet except to suggest eating low fat meats including Filet Mignon, White Meat Turkey and Pork. Everything else was ok. This was wrong! HE SHOULD HAVE EMPHASIZED EATING SMALL AMOUNTS! Over and over I got Esophagitis from eating large amounts and not chewing sufficiently and the doctor never mentioned this until 6 months after the procedure. The pain I went thru for 6 months alone was excruciating - intense esophageal pressure and pain, throat spasms, shortness of breath, fatigue, over all I was in pain 50% of the time on and off for 1 year and 8 months. I would have opted for either (A) no operation and just dealing with GERD or (B) go for the tested and I believe more successful "Laproscopic Funduplication".|I have 10 pages of organized, dated recovery notes if you're interested detailing the good and bad of this procedure.

They were pretty good and my daughter hates it. They were quick and good about it. They tried to get quick for the measurements or some things. The doctor spent 15 minutes clothing with my daughter. That was nice. They have been really good and going to stand right away.

    Intermountain Medical Clinic
I have been going to Intermountain Medical Clinic for years now and would recommend them to anyone and have to both family and friends in the past. The staff there is very friendly and professional and even know me when I walk in. My last visit I had a mole removed from the back of my hand and also my hand. Both were virtually painless except for a small needle p**** for the anesthetic I didn't feel anything. I love the prompt service whether I have a n appointment or am going to the urgent care.

Health West Inc. - Pocatello Clinic
The doctor said he could not help with my concern and he didn't know what he could do for me. He did say if I could find a doctor that could help and new what my problem was he would give me a referral. I thought they would know who I could go to to git some satisfaction. I will never go back there!

    Pocatello Family Medicine
To start, the reception area is always crowded and foul smelling, like human body odor. This has been my experience for every routine annual physical for the past four years. I only continued to come to this medical facility because I really liked the doctor I began seeing when we moved from out of state. Then he moved and I was shunted to a PA. Then a few months later I was shifted to another doctor, then the next year, another. That is a huge problem here, they have serious staff turn over and everyone from the front desk to the doctors are different each year. This last visit was the breaking point. I was transferred to yet but another doctor, as my regular physician had moved. I brought in a insurance screening form to him 1 month prior to my appointment and scheduled the exam 2 weeks out to allow him time to review my records and fill it out. When I arrived his medical assistant stared at me blankly as to why I was there; does no one read the appointment details? Or the medical record? Then I could hear them talking outside the door about how no one knew where that form had been placed. I waited, and waited and then asked the assitant if while I was waiting I could get my blood draw. She stated and quot;Oh, she went home alreadyand quot;...I was livid!! I came in for a physical AND bloodwork, which had required me to fast all day until my 4pm appointment. I could have had the blood drawn first thing, as I waited 45 minutes to see the doctor, but no one can keep anything straight there. No apologies for my wait, no apologies for the delay which caused me to miss the lab cut off time and I had fasted all day and no apologies for the fact I had given them a month to get ready for this appointment and no one knew what they were doing! I was so upset I left an hour after my scheduled appointment time without seeing the doctor and won't be back!! Save yourself the trouble and find a small GP practice that knows your history and doesn't experience so much staff turnover, it's nice to know you're not just and quot;anotherand quot; patient.

    Williams, Dr. Douglas S
It went well. However, on one side he took more than the other side, so my toe nails aren't even. But it's not that noticeable. It took months for me to receive an invoice, so I finally called the office. They had been sending the bill to the wrong town.
. He wouldn't do both sides at the same time, so I had to pay for each office visit. I was supposed to come back for a final checkup, but I didn't go because I didn't want to pay for another office visit, and they were healing up nicely.

    Carilion Family Medicine
Could not have been a better experience. Once diagnosed by my primary care physician, they had the problem completely remedied through one referral to a specialist within the Carilion system in less than two weeks. I've had no further problems.
