    ALAMEDA AUTOMOTIVE
I received a call later stating that my vehicle was ready for pickup with no explanation over the phone. When I arrived at the shop, I was presented with a bill for nearly $700, including 10 hours of labor for replacement of a recalled starter switch. The explanation being that it took all that time before they thought to call honda about recalled equipment. After telling me to calm down, the man at the desk gave me a 10% discount printout for my next service. I have never been back and I tell everyone who asks my about this place about this experience. Please do not risk wasting your money here.

My car broke down in the middle of the road I was able to get it to them to look at it and figure out what was wrong. They discovered it was the battery that was dead. They put in a new battery for me and offered me a five year warranty for only $20. Great service good price

    Accu-tech Auto Repair
This is the second occasion for this repair.  The repair was excellent, the part was not.  This business has been my go-to place for over 12 years and through two vehicles.  I am never disappointed.  Courteous, helpful, experienced, great communicators.  Highly recommend.

    Corey's Auto Works
I had several bids for repairs on my older car and decided to go with this service. They were prompt and explained every detail as they completed the work and did an excellent job. They were $ 700.00 under what I was quoted by others. I give them 5 stars!!

Our Ford Explorer stopped running suddenly, 6 months after the local Ford dealership had replaced the fuel pump. We called Accutech after reading their reviews. After calling them on Monday morning, they towed the Explorer to their shop, diagnosed the problem, gave us a estimate for the work, and fixed it before 3 p.m that same afternoon.
Their service was extremely professional. They gave an accurate estimate of the cost, and the work was done quickly. I highly recommend this shop.

I have used this provider in the past and trusted them implicitly--I really liked the service writer. He retired last year and I don't like what happened to me this time. I had an oil-lube-filter service. My car is 8 years old with only 48,000 miles on it; it's been very reliable. This time I was told that the front brakes needed new pads and rotors immediately, rear brakes coming up very soon, and that I had a leak that could cause failure on the highway that would need to be fixed within the next 60 days--total cost around $2,000. Note: no written estimate.
I discussed this info with friends and felt very uncomfortable with the diagnosis. I called the mechanic and asked them to recap the problems.  They checked their records and said that I would need the brakes done within the next 4-6 months(total cost around $400) and that the leak would cost $500-600. Kind of big difference in the prices and times quoted.
I went to the dealer and had the brakes checked and the whole car checked for leaks. Brakes: Front, in the "keep an eye on these, they'll need servicing in a few months" range; rear brakes: well within the normal range; absolutely no sign of leaks.
My diagnosis: if you're a single woman or an older woman, find someone else to work on your car. There's a problem somewhere in this organization that didn't seem to be there before.

    MASTER MECHANIX
at first they were great on fixing my second hand car but after awhile it kept having problems and they didn't really know what was wrong and just kept guessing and costing me money. I later got a new old car and brought it in and they decided that they needed to charge me double what it should have cost, they have lost my trust and I won't go back there.

They were wonderful. They were friendly. They explain what they need to do and why they need to do it and they don't try and waste your time and money. If it doesn't need to be done, they're not going to do it.

    Bill & Mikes Service Inc
Come to find out I could have had the same work done for around $175 cheaper , located a few blocks away from them on 5th Street . Quigley's would have done the same work for 205 bucks total .|one of the owners named Mike has a very bad mouth doesn't show any type of respect for his customers . they will never get another dime I'm my pocket , and honestly I'm very surprised that they've been able to stay in business as long as they have .

    Mike's Corner Service
Oil changes and tire rotations are just some of the minor things he does.

He has also worked on our 99 Ford Ranger, trouble shooting a problem and doing a great job on tune ups.

The great thing about Mike is that he will only fix what needs to be fixed. The true sign of an honest mechanic and person in general.
