FI would never take my animal to a vet at Alta Animal Hospital. They killed my dog this year. She charges people way too much and she has very poor judgment.

AI've boarded my dogs at Hemingway's many times. They've also gone to daycare there and been groomed a time or two. Some boarding has been just for a weekend but more often, it's been a week or two. I'm incredibly neurotic about my dogs, so I'm happy that Hemingway's is here to put my mind at ease. They're very responsive to my requests and questions regarding food, meds, sleeping arrangements. I've watched them taking great care introducing my somewhat reactive dog to the rest of the 'population.' They remember my dogs' names and the dogs are always happy to go. The dogs are returned clean and brushed, too. I've had no problems with losing items or mites or lice, but would risk those for not having my dogs isolated in cages 24/7 when I travel.

AWe have a small poodle and have been experimenting with several groomers around Idaho Falls and have found we like Dirty Dog? Grooming. They are quick and our dog doesn't seem to mind going there. We did have an issue when we first took our dog in because we weren't fond of how it turned out. So we brought our dog back and they were happy to get everything all sorted out.

The AmeriPet began in a small grooming shop on “D” Street in 1994. Gretchen Harper opened and ran “Lucy’s Groomers” in this location from 1994 until 1997. In that period it became obvious that the Idaho Falls community was starved for a top quality pet facility. The idea of the AmeriPet was born. We began construction of the original facility in the winter of 1996 and opened the doors in May of 1997. We had 26 runs and the present cat room. Gretchen Harper was the lone Groomer. Within a...

ASplash Self Serve Pet SpaThe experience was wonderful. I walked in with my Black Lab, the owner helped me with the nice ramp to help the dog into the wash station, they provided a variety of shampoo or conditioner, the scrub pad, a great water sprayer, and even a blow dryer! In addition they provided a waterproof apron for me and towels. The owner helped me throughout the process and in very little time I had a clean and dry dog, and I was also dry and ready for my next errand. AND... they clean up after you! This part alone saves me a lot of time and effort when otherwise you have a wet, shaking dog in your nice clean bathtub, right? The owner is very well informed on nutrition for dogs (and cats) and offers some good choices for appropriate foods that are not the big box brands that are using mostly fillers. I learned a lot and left with many food samples, all of which my dog loved. I highly recommend this service for the easy and well appointed wash stations and experience, but also for the varieties of good pet foods (dog and cat). I will be going there again as the cost is well worth it.- Lennia M.

ASAW TOOTH SPRAYING SVCWe go to them off and on for the dogs and cats. We used to use them for the horse too but they no longer do horses. Sometimes if I go in the morning for an emergency I have to wait but that's only because I they have to fit me in.- Judy G.

ABO-LAY GROOMINGI have been taking my dogs to Bo lay grooming for the past ten years. She does such a great job and my dogs love going. I have a dog that is terrified of loud machine noises and so she takes the extra time to let him air dry. People always ask me where I get my dogs groomed and I always recommend Crystal. she always cuts them exactly how I ask and I've never had any issues. I will say that once I had to take one of my dogs to a large chain store groomer because he got into some garbage and I couldn't get him in to Bo lay because she was out of town. I was so disappointed with their services and price. I always tip her because she does a great job and I don't think she charges enough.- Jill W.

ALUCKY DOGThis was the second time I used this groomer, and I will continue to use her. I got an appointment within a few days of my phone call. The shop is clean and odor free. She did an excellent job, even though my dog's curly hair had gotten matted. He is also very sensitive to a hot razor, but there was no trace of razor burn. His anal glands weren't irritated by being cleaned., and his nails were trimmed nicely. She was finished grooming him earlier than she'd expected. Although she'd given him a relatively short cut (necessary to get rid of the mats) and I hadn't asked for any particular style, he looked good. She shaved a 1/4 in. strip around the base of his short tail, which gives the tail a kind of poofy look that's really cute; no one else has ever done this, and it adds a little bit of class to my fluffy mutt. He was glad to see the groomer when we arrived, was still happy when I picked him up. He likes the groomer and I like the work she did. We've tried a lot of groomers in Pocatello, and for me and my dog she's the hands-down best.- Hanna G.

ABarks & Bubbles Pet SpaBrenda loved my dog Raymond. She made him relaxed and very easily was able to handle him. She bathed Raymond in her over sized animal washing station that he actually seemed to enjoy. Then she clipped his long nails so they wouldn't click on the floor anymore. After that she dried him with her warm-air animal dryer and then let him run around her doggie playground. The place was brand new, clean and fresh. Brenda's energetic and kind spirit made Raymond and I feel relaxed and totally confident in her abilities.- Ronald R.

AHAIR OF THE DOG GROOMINGMy miniature poodle had to be clipped short because of hair mats. There were no razor burns and he liked the groomer. I don't remember the exact cost, just remember thinking it was reasonable but higher than I was used to paying at the previous groomers.- Pam K.

APampered Pooch GroomingThis was my 11 year old dog's first experience with any groomer, so I was nervouse about the whole thing to begin with. The dog actually belongs to my daughter who is 15 and Ranger (the dog) has been her best friend for his whole life. April was near tears at the thought of leaving him and the anxiety that he might experience in her absence. When we got to the groomers my first impression was how neat and clean it was! I have seen other groomers that were not as conscientious about cleanliness. The woman working that day greeted us with a smile and listened to our concerns about the possibility of Ranger experiencing anxiety and assured us that she would take good care of him. So, April in tears...we left to await the call telling us that Ranger was done. About two hours later we received that call and went pronto to pick up my little girls' best friend! When we got there the ladies were smiling and brought Ranger out looking beautiful and yes, pampered with a bandana on his neck and I swear a smile on his face!- Jennifer J.

AHAPPY TAILS PET SALONThey groomed him the whole time we were there. The grooming was around $45. He was a cocker spaniel with long hair and he looked fabulous. He looked like a show dog when they finished with him. He thought he looked like Billy G; he would strut all around thinking he was a cool dog and beautiful. They are very pet-oriented and my spaniel loved to go which tells you something. They used to put him in a little cage while they were finishing another dog or if we were a little bit early and he used to just pop right on in there. He wasn't one for doing that at home. We had a kennel for him and he didn't fairly get in it ever. He was real comfortable there. He was happy and they treated him really well. They always found a spot for us when we needed him groomed. They were very good about calling us as soon as they finished grooming him to go and pick him up. They are very friendly and very professional. I wouldn't take my pet anywhere else.- Gail H.

ACUSTOM KRITTERSFor our small 7-pound dog, it's about $20. She looks great; they have done a great job on her. I don't know what other services they offer, but I just go in there to get her bath and nails. It's actually in an auto mechanic shop, and there are no big signs or anything, so anyone looking for the place will just have to look for the auto mechanic shop to be able to find it. They are really nice and they do a good job. I have never really had any complaints with them. Usually, when I take my dog in, I take my mom's dog too, and my mom is very picky, and she has never had any complaints either. They are not really easy to get hold of some times.- Trista S.

ACUSTOM KRITTERSSince our regular groomer had to quit for medical reasons, we were a bit unsure of who to go to. I read a review about Custom Kritters, and thought we'd give it a try. The Mom/daughter team were very friendly and listened to the information about the dogs and their backgrounds. We received a call when they were done and both dogs seemed happy and not stressed. The brush out was not the same as we were used to, but we were spoiled. The guys looked fine but didn't look as great or smell as wonderful as our previous groomer. I'll be looking for another groomer.- Elaine T.
