AMy husband had a hip replacement about 12 weeks ago. The experience we had at Mountain View was absolutely amazing. We couldn't believe how well both of us were treated. I stayed with my husband the entire time. I would highly recommend!

BThere is a general doctor and two nurse practitioners in the office, and I see all of them. The staff is really easy to work with and the doctors are all nice. I enjoy working with them. I have some medical problems, so when I end up at the hospital here in town, they always refer us, so it makes the transition fairly easy if I know who is there. They make sure that I get the specialists really quickly. They take good care of my kids. For the most part, I like them.

AIt all started out with me taking my 9 month old son to his pediatrician for severe diarrhea. The doctor's office checked my son's water levels and determined that the diarrhea was so severe, he was extremely dehydrated and had to be taken to the hospital to have an IV done to get his water levels back up. When we arrived at the hospital the nurses and other staff were quick to get us into a room to do the IV. It was definitely not a pleasant experience watching my baby have an IV inserted, but the nurses did an excellent job at getting it in. Every nurse that we had was so friendly and seemed genuinely concerned for my son's well being. We stayed overnight until my son's hydration levels went back up and his stool sample culture was completed. The doctor came to our room in the morning and told me that there was no bacterial or parasitic infection found in the stool culture. That meant that my son just a bad viral infection causing gastroenteritis (stomach flu). The doctor advised me to give my son plenty of fluids and to also add in some probiotics to my son's food. After that we left and after following doctor's orders, my son got better within a few days.

FDuring check in to the express clinic I provided my insurance information and they attempted to charge me the full price ($109) for the visit. I expressed that my insurance covers the majority of the cost and to bill them. They exclaimed that I am required to pay the full price prior to the visit. They stated that my account will be credited after my insurance is billed. I have had nothing but problems with Valley Medical billing. Their care is next to non-existent. If you go to adult care they simply refer you elsewhere and charge you for an office visit. It seems they are unable to treat a patient in office and are required to refer everything out. Just not worth going to them for anything.

AIDAHO DOCTORS' HOSPITALThe Idaho Doctors' Hospital is a superb facility. The staff are friendly and professional, and thoroughly helpful. This hospital has eight private rooms. They are large and extremely comfortable, with a large leather couch comfortable enough for a guest to sleep on and a leather reclining chair. The OR and post-op are just down the hall. The whole place feels more like a doctor's office, or even a home, than a hospital. It's quiet and restful. I was the only patient in the place for most of my stay, so that the nurse/patient ratio was 2 to 1. But even at its busiest, I was told, the hospital maintains a nurse/patient ratio of no more than 1 to 2. The nurses were very helpful and prompt, but they knew when to let me just sleep without interruption. The hospital is immaculately clean and pleasant. The food was fantastic, and abundant--forget about the notorious hospital food; this could be the best restaurant in eastern Idaho. I was very disappointed that I felt like eating so little of it. I have only praise for The Idaho Doctors' Hospital. I would strongly recommend it to anyone having neurosurgery--far superior to anything else I know of in eastern Idaho, or anywhere for that matter.- Brian M.

ASt Joseph Regional Medical CenterI was taken to St. Joseph's hospital by ambulance after I broke my ankle and tibia. The nurses were friendly and caring and put me at ease. I was able to get X-rays done and be seen by an orthopedic surgeon within the hour. The surgeon performed the required surgery that same late afternoon/evening. The nurses checked on me frequently throughout the night and made sure I was painfree and as comfortable as possible. I spent almost 24 hours there and had several meals, which were good and plentiful.- Elisabeth B.

AEastern Idaho Regional Medical CenterMy wife was induced for labor at this facility, they provided her with reasonable accommodations. It was just like any other hospital we have been to but what stood out to us was the nursing staff in the Womens Center, each one was very attentive to my wife during each stage of the birthing process. We never had to ask for anything they anticipated what was needed and overall took really excellent care of us.- Adam P.

AEastern Idaho Regional Medical CenterI had heard nightmare stories about ERIMC but needed to deliver there because they have a NICU and my other two children were in the NICU. The rooms were awesome and the nursing staff was the best I have ever had. This was the most amazing experience of my life everyone always had a smile on their face and if I needed anything they were right there and got it for me in a heartbeat. I love the stork dinner that they provided and really felt like my family mattered. I left EIRMC feeling like these people were my friends and really cared about myself and my family. Best experience ever and I will go back in a heartbeat.- Pamela G.
