FLandmark Home WarrantyIn March of 2020, I submitted a claim. Landmark sent a repairman who lived over 2hr's away. He told me it wouldn't be worth his time to fix it, and he only took this request to continue his contact with Landmark. The claim was approved for nearly six months, yet they did nothing. Each time I contacted Landmark, I was told it was approved to be fixed, the part was located, and had Landmark representatives supposedly bring this issue to supervisors and managers' attention, etc. After Landmark did not attempt to communicate, six months after being approved, the claim was rejected without justification. Then for some unknown reason, Landmark required me to submit a home inspection to prove the issue in question was in working order when I purchased the home. It begs to question, why wasn't this request made when I contacted them multiple times in April, May, June, July, or even August? In the end, I put my faith in a company that wants to find a way out. The length of time it took this company to do anything, the multiple attempts to get the issue at hand resolved, the numerous hours on hold and their attempt to work around completing their end of the bargain is ridiculous at best. After giving up on Landmark, I called a local contractor and had everything fixed within a week for less than $200. Now they want fee’s collected for services that weren’t completed because they failed. Please don't waste your time; the company it's nothing more than a scam.- Matthew J.

AHawthorne Plumbing, Heating & CoolingMy first replacement a year ago went very smoothly. Service was scheduled for the following day and finished in a few hours. The most recent replacement was performed by a different technician. Service was scheduled for the same day. He was initially here to trouble shoot a repair from the previous week that did not help save the unit as we had hoped. This replacement took a bit longer then my previous replacement as he had to return to the shop for supplies he did not have on the truck. The tech was authorized to reduce the cost of the replacement by a few hundred dollars (approximately 1/2 of repair bill) due to the failed attempt to baby along the old unit only a week prior, which helped a little. Currently awaiting building inspection to complete the job. I have used Hawthorne for four years now. I have had annual a/c, furnace, and plumbing inspections. Our home was a foreclosure so we were not sure how well maintained the major systems were. The technicians that come to my home are in uniform and are neat and clean. They are respectful of my home, always wearing boot covers on their shoes even when I say it is not necessary. Dealing with the office is also very professional. I have, on two occasions, phoned before 'normal' office hours and been greeted by a friendly voice. I believe they have an answering service for after hours. On these occasions, the office returned my call promptly and scheduled same day service. I feel they may be a little pricey, however, I have not shopped around. I was originally referred to Hawthorne by our home warranty company shortly after moving in. I have continued with them and not shopped around based on their overall service. Bwhen tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great

FI had used this company successfully 4 times in the past. This time I requested a quote online as always. The response came back from a company named Professional Auto Shippers with the same phone number as Executive Auto Shippers. They sent me a price and we set the first day of pickup as May 20. Understanding the 3 day pickup window, I got concerned late on the 21st. On a phone conversation I was promised someone would call me before the end of the day. That did not happen. The next day I called at about 10 AM because we had a 2 PM flight to return to Illinois. No answer or call back. We got in the car and made the drive back in 2 days. This morning I received information from the company and a truck driver that our car would be picked up sometime today, 7 days after the first pickup date. I told the driver we had already driven the car to Illinois. I doing a little research I learned apparently this company operates under several separate names, although the phone numbers are the same and the contact person, Ray Rodriguez is the same.
