    Brett's Lawn Care Inc.
I only used Brett's Lawn Care for less than 2 months. In that short time there were multiple issues including mower tech tearing up my lawn with the lawn mower, hitting my house bending the metal flashing on my new A-framed roof, having to call multiple times to have weeds taken care of that were included in the bid and the final straw was being charged a $65 service call for my sprinklers for the service tech to add 10 minutes and one day to my watering cycle with no results. The dry spot in my front yard was actually worse. I emailed Brett's Lawn Care and provided pictures to let them know it had not fixed the problem. They called the next day, I was told it would be another $65 service charge even though the service tech had not fixed it the first time. I offered to pay for any parts and labor, but did not feel I should be charged another service fee when the problem was not improved. I was told it would be another service charge for anything other than what they had done on the previous call, which had not worked. When I stated I felt this was poor customer service I was informed, that is their policy and how they do business. My lawn looked ok most weeks and others it was a sloppy, uneven and weeds remained. Due to the lack of consistency and poor customers service I would not recommend this company.

They repaired the sprinkler head and line connecting it. Everything he did regarding the sprinkler system was from the control box outside in the yard. He never once checked the timer in the garage. I had to go back to work before they were done but could have let him in the garage while I was there. When I came home from work there was a super small tree in my yard. The price tag was still on it and it was a $120 tree. We called them and complained and they came out and put in a little bit bigger tree, but it was not worth $225 and was dry and brittle. One of the branches has already broken off. It has been about 2 weeks since that first visit and my grass was drying up where the sprinkler was supposed to be fixed. I figured out that the sprinkler in that area was still not coming on so I called him. He came out and figured out it had to do with the timer in the garage. He knocked over my bike while walking into my garage and did not pick it up and scratched it. He was gruff and rude and said that one of the wires was not connected to the timer. It was the wire to the section he was supposed to have fixed. He charged me another $45 because he claimed that it was not his fault. I thought that is what I hired him for was to get my sprinkler running again. He was very rude the entire time and was completely unprofessional. He shut my gate hard and grabbed the check out of my hand. The entire thing has cost me around $450 and for what, a sprinkler that did not run for over two weeks and dried up my lawn and for a broken tree. I would never recommend them. They do not have set prices for any of their services, he just makes things up as he goes and then changes it as he does the work. He is very rude, gruff and very unprofessional. Terrible service!!! Terrible.

    Toms Sprinklers
Bought my home over a year ago and the yard has never been "right".  Tom came out and walked through the yard with me showing me what could be done to get better coverage.  He had all necessary parts to make his suggested changes.  Upon completion walked back through with me to make sure I was happy with his work.  He reset my timer to optimize watering.  If I could give him higher than an "A", I would.  Absolutely fantastic to work with - wouldn't have anyone else work on my yard!

    Toms Sprinklers
We had moved to Idaho in October 2013 when our sprinkler system was first used in April 2014 it didn't work well, there were areas of the grass that was turning brown due to the poor sprinkler coverage. Also there were some sprinkler heads that didn't have the correct spray pattern or limited pressure. We searched and discovered Tom Barber provided the maintenance service. When Tom showed up at our house I was expecting to have our sprinkler system look at and get an estimate. What Tom did was he immediately got his tools out to diagnose the sprinkler issues. No sooner had he started that he jumped in immediately checking all sprinkler stations for performance, changing sprinkler heads as needed. In the backyard he what I call over and above my expectations by moving some sprinkler heads around so they were more efficient in the coverage. I was very impressed with Tom's work ethic and dedication to solving all my sprinkler issues, including rewiring the sprinkler programming to better meet the needs and water savings. I was so impressed that I've asked Tom to come back in the fall/winter season to do the seasonal sprinkler blowout and to my name on his list to do this annually. If there is the need to to anymore changes or enhancements to our sprinkler system Tom will be the go to guy. I highly recommend his service to anyone. I would give
Tom an A+ for his service.

    McKenzie Landscaping LLC
We contacted McKenzie Landscaping LLC for sprinkler turn on and adjustment (if needed) on a house we recently purchased. We received an email back stating that the  technician would call the day before to make sure we would be able to be home so he would have access to the control box, which is located in the garage. Instead he called the day of, saying he'd be over in about an hour. Given we were heading out the door at the time, he said he'd be right over.
When he showed up he started the system, which was fine.  The issue is, other than complaining at me the entire time that he hated this brand of control box and what a lousy job that was done installing the system itself. When inquiring on replacement cost and availability,  I received snippy comments and attitude about how lousy it was rather than actually discussing what I asked in a professional manner. The technician also refused to communicate with me until the end when he stated that he'd done rewiring and replaced a sprinkler head. No discussing with me if I wanted the work done or even letting me know he was doing it. He also left the property without putting the sprinkler boxes back together.
To add insult to injury, I received a bill for the sprinkler head, the turn on, and an hour and a half worth of labor. Given he wasn't at our house an hour, the fact that we were charged for the time it took to do the turn on on top of the $35 turn on fee on top of time he wasn't working is ridiculous. After contacting the company stating we had records showing he was not working for the 1.5 hours charged, they adjusted it so we only had to pay for 45 minutes labor since we were "not satisfied with the irrigation service" - again, still paying for the time it took him to turn the sprinklers on.
The job he did was unprofessional and slip-shot at best. We discovered yesterday that in "adjusting" the sprinklers that he had failed to adjust properly (to where they had been which had been covering the lawn), so the lawn hasn't been getting watered as it should have been. With our expectation that we were hiring a professional, we didn't realize that we would have to go out and re-do the work we were over charged for. Had we know this we would have performed the service ourselves.

He Knocked off an irrigation valve (which costs $80.00 to replace if you can find them.) Did not let us know. Just took his money and left. I had just irrigated the day before so I know the condition of the valves and I checked his work after he left and found the valve laying on the ground.

I contacted Cito the Thursday prior to our appointment, he was friendly and knowledgable on the phone. Our appointment time was for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16th. I initially thought we were just going to do a walk through of my yard and list my concerns so Cito could give me a quote... NOPE. Cito and his wife Kelly(?)( who is also very friendly and professional) pulled up at 6pm, an hour and a half early (WOW!)! As I was walking Cito through my yard, he grabs a shovel and starts raising sprinkler heads and addressing other small issues he could see needed immediate attention.. 1 hour ($35) later, Cito had quickly raised 5 of my sprinkler heads, replacing one of them, and removed overgrowth around them so my sprinklers had full watering range. Cito booked a time that he could return and address some of my more time consuming projects. You may be asking, is $35 a good price? With the time and effort Cito saved me, I would gladly have paid double!! Cito will be returning soon and I feel confident that I will be posting another positive review for Creative Landscaping.

He has a rating of an "A" already here, reviews on his site.  He came out two different times.  He was really reasonable.  I expected to pay a lot more for what he had done.  He actually spent quite a bit of time out there.  He did a good job, he was very good at explaining what was happening and how it was working and was very friendly, very knowledgeable, you could tell that he knew what he was talking about.  He actually went out to my parent's house when he was done with mine the first time he was out.  He did a last minute request.  He is pretty good at trying to accommodate people if it's possible.  He has pretty good customer service skills.  Again he was very reasonably priced.

Tom was able to give me a quote over the phone after asking my about the size of my lawn and sprinkler system.  He was flexible in scheduling and performed the service within a few days of my phone call even though I live in Nampa and he is based in Boise.

Started off very good, Cito or "Mr Garcia" as he likes to be called was incredibally personable and attentive when called for an estimate.  He provided stellar references and has an impeccable reputation when it comes to his business.... However I have quite a large lawn that I think might have been outside his normal scope and it showed and solely what this review is around.
For the 6 or so visits he came out the lawn just didn't seem to be 'professionally' done. The cut lines were off and not symmetrical, he didn't accommodate grass length for the temperature and he kept bringing different folks out to assist with his work as if he was hiring day laborers to assist with push mowers throughout the back of my property.  This after asking if he was the one doing the work that he replied yes to.. well it ended up being him and others I had no background on walking around my responsibilities.
Overall the time came to end this past week when I discovered after traveling for work I found that they were dumping the lawn cuttings in my back pasture rather then taking them away with them as agreed upon...
Overall If I would have spent the $800 my self and got me a riding lawnmower I think I would have gotten the same result, not the professional looking landscaping I was looking for.
So if you are looking for someone to trim up your standard yard and do general work that you cant perform on your own I would recommend him absolutely, but if you have a more refined or scaled need I'd look elsewhere.
