Does a Painting Estimate Really Matter?

My first remodel in my home and it went really well. Jon was very accommodating and willing to work within my budget, giving me a couple of different quotes of work they could do. Once the work and budget was decided on, it went very smoothly. Ben did the majority of the work and he was very kind, professional, and open about what tasks were happening that day. I liked that they cleaned as they worked especially since it was a small space and my only bathroom in the house. I would totally recommend them to my friends and family and will be using them again in the near future for upcoming projects.

    Done Right Painting and Remodel
Scott was fantastic. He gave me a variety of options to choose from and prices to fit my budget. He made sure I was informed every step of the way. He does EXCEPTIONAL work and I couldnt be happier with the outcome. A job of the same magnitude from a coroporate facility would have been 3x the price and meant me settling for what was available. Thank you thank you thank you!!

Fabulous!! Greg and Zach were very professional and polite. They worked quickly and cleaned as they went. I was never left with a mess to clean up after them. They went above and beyond to make sure my experience went as smooth as possible. They made what initially appeared to be an impossible task, very possible. After hiring two previous contractors that did not complete the project I was getting discouraged. Greg and Zach came in and restored my faith in humanity :) I highly recommend them for any and all projects

Very pleased with the job Henry and his crew did for us.  They gave us a very competitive bid and did an excellent job for that price!  Would definitely recommend and use Skyline Painting in the future.

    Paint It Green
This was a strange deal. Tim Coulter was very responsive to my bid request and offered a competitive price when lots of other painters were too busy to care about my small job. That meant a lot to me. He also worked clean and his quality met my expectations. But here's where it got weird. Before the job I provided a detailed floor plan describing exactly what I needed. But when the job was done there were several walls untouched that were in the plan -- but an entire room repainted that wasn't in the plan. It made matters worse for me that I live 150 miles from the house (I had not yet moved in), so I had to drive 6 hrs round trip to find out the work was incorrect. That's time and fuel I'll never get back. Eventually Tim and I negotiated a solution in terms of price, but I felt like he negated too aggressively considering the mistake was not my fault. But it's hard to find quality work for a competitive price. So in truth I'd probably call Tim next time I need painting if he wants the work and I live closer to the job so I can monitor it. Anyone who's still reading (including Tim, if you are), I gave an overall score of "B" because the deal was stressful and awkward. I scored price and quality "B" because I ended up getting different work for a different price than originally desired; and the "C" for professionalism would have been an "A" if the instructions had been followed; or since they weren't I think he should have said, "No charge for my mistake," in which case I would have experienced so much less stress and probably tipped him the final agreed price anyway.

    Spray 'n Coat Painting
We wanted to have our rooms painted soft gray.  We ordered the paint and when they came out and started painting they were using an ugly pink color which we did not want.  I went out and purchased the correct paint and they told us they would not cover the cost of the paint.  After speaking back and forth with them many times they finally paid for the paint.  The workers were sloppy and there were many drip spots.  I would never recommend this company or use them in the future.

The property had many, many picture hanger holes on every wall of the unit (3 bed, 1000 sq/ ft). The crew removed all the hanging parifanillia and patched in such a manner I could no long tell where the holes had been. Initially the quote with the middle of three and I shared this with Arin so he reworked his numbers and was able to lower the bid, slightly, but that slight difference put me into a comfortable range above the low bid to choose Adam Roe Painting for presumed quality. I was not dissapointed, in the least! The work was of high quality and I would have them do my own home in a heart beat! Other then a slight miss-communication of staff of the start date and time the job went off without a hitch! Upon the final walk-through, Roger had one of the crew on hand for touch-ups, which I did not have any, but they, both Roger and crewmen found a few. Overall I am highly pleased with the attention to detail, high quality of work, high quality of staff/crew and Roger as project lead.

Camcor Painting and Papering are amazing. We were very happy with the price. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give them a 12. They were amazing. Just really, really good. They are completely dependable, honest, and they are superb craftsmen. I would absolutely use them again.

Joe Dunn was an acquaintance of my family for years and being in Real Estate, I had referred many people to him who had used his service. When it came to my own job, he was late every morning, and left early every day. He told me he works from 7-5, but there was never a day he was there before 8 or there after 3. He said it would take approx 3 days to do the work and it took 2 1/2 weeks because he kept leaving my job to go finish others, mostly his builders that he told me was his "bread and butter". Apparently my business was just not that important, even after all the years of referrals. I was having him do the work, so that it could be done quickly and we could move into the new house. Instead we had to live around the mess for that 2 1/2 week timeframe. The paint he used was low grade and inexpensive - a year later and all of our trim needs to be touched up, a lot of it just needs redone - when he sprayed the doors, he took them to another location and brought them back wet, so they stuck together and had to be touched up with a brush. Parts of the ceiling paint showed through I had to do the touch up myself. It would have been so much less stress for me to to have done the work myself. I had given him a key to our home so he could come and go as he needed and not worry about our schedules, in hopes the job would get done quickly...then, it took almost 2 months after he was done to return the house key. I'll paint it myself next time, or find someone who truly cares about my business and the end product they leave me with. After the interior of the home, fiasco, we decided not to have him do the garage or the exterior.
