    Wizard Auto Specialties
I was recommended to Wizard Auto Specialties from another Corvette owner and enthusiast after my car was in a hit and run at Big Al's this summer. Greg worked with my insurance company, provided a thorough and detailed estimate, and finished my car in the timeline he promised. Being familiar with autobody myself, I am very particular when it comes to paying someone else to repair my vehicles. Wizard's fit and finish on the new front facia, along with color matching the extremely difficult to spray and expensive Crystal Red Metallic Tri-Coat Candy paint was unsurpassed, and their painter there is top notch. I would utilize Greg's team again without hesitation. A++

    MEINEKE CAR CARE CENTER
Meineke nampa, id.....Long story, but here it goes....truck had appt for Friday 8 am for oil change, a.c. work, and all fluids changes along with filters, van Saturday at 10 am for oil change. We were there waiting when doors opened. Issues with the financial portion already began. Truck was not taken in to begin work until around noon. I went back in to pay around 330. since closure would happen before we could get it picked up. They had no idea on finance side, truck was still being worked on, had invoice corrected as they forgot 2 services on it. 615, I get a call asking if we could bring it back in monday or Tuesday, I said not an option. I then left conversation and left truck to have them finish as it was already paid for. Fast forward to today, go in, talk to owner and drop off my van for 10 appt. Owner was very rude about it not being done, saying his employees are incompetent. I tell him he dropped the ball. I would ask him a question and he would not even look at me, but ignore me and answer to my husband. Owner stated truck would be done today, I asked for time and after 5 times asking same question, he said it would be done at noon. So my family took a walk as my van was getting oil change. We passed our truck, good was up so husband took a look at it. It was out in the parking lot not in a service bay. The oil cap was removed and laying in another part if truck, employees were working on other vehicles. I asked owner about it, and asked if oil had even been done. Employee said he did it the night before, owner said it hadn't. I asked about moisture or dirt getting in motor, he said with a diesel that can't happen. My husband disagreed and another list if excuses came. 1215 we come back, my van was not touched, owner had went to get lunch so was gone. We waited, upon his return, asked about my van, and he said they were running behind, no phone call or anything to us letting us know. We demanded to know how much longer truck would take and told him to forget about our vans oil, and asked the purpose of appointments. He said he would go check on truck. 20 minutes later, after we watch him through bay window eating his lunch not talking to anyone, husband went to get him again to ask about truck. He lied and said he was out helping mechanic when we watched him not do that. He kept going on asking what he was supposed to do, that his mechanic wasn't very good, asking us if he should fire him. At 315 got a call that truck was done, went to pick it up, we went to look over truck, and there was oil and grease everywhere, seat, carpet, floorboard, doors, good, steering wheel, not just some, but globs. There was a huge dent and scrape down driver door where they hit it against something when opening door when in the bays for work. Owner was not there so we spoke to employees. Also, oil change sticker was missing. Upon employees cleaning up grease and oil, owner showed up. We showed him the mess, we took pictures and so did his employees. We showed him the dent and scrape that 2 of his employees said that they knew it wasn't there prior and that they were sorry that they damaged the truck and left it so messy. I asked owner if he was going to accept any responsibility about the situation and he laughed in my face and said no and walked away. He then comes back with the oil sticker and tells his employee to get the sticker on the truck and "get them the **** out of here". I advised that reports with bbb, attorney General, yelp and anyone else I know or encounter will know how awful his shop and him were. He said he didn't care and again laughed in my face. Please reconsider this shop for any service!!!!

    All Automotive Center
I had talked to the Honda dealership and I knew that this procedure was scheduled for one hour of shop time. We have used all automotive to service our vehicles for over a decade. I took them my Honda And they had it back to me in less than an hour, and only billed me for the time they used, instead of the full procedural hour like many shops would have.

    Encore Auto Repair & Sales
This service was free because all they did was check out the situation that we told them about. They have been consistently, over time, just very honest about whether or not they found anything or whether or not they could fix it if they found something. They have really earned our trust.

    WHIT'S AUTO REPAIR INC
I dropped my truck off this morning and they said I could have it back in the morning. They were quick to take my truck and log it, so I was kind of impressed with that. They didn?t try up charge me for a diagnostic fee. The front desk could be a little more customer friendly, she needs to polish up on her communications skills a little bit. It took probably no more than 24 hours to do the work. I really don?t know about the quality, because I haven?t picked it up yet. They got to it pretty quick even though they weren?t communicative.

He usually does mostly automotive things except for tires. He does not do anything tire related. I usually just leave it with them because I have been using them for 20 years, but a general oil change, they could probably get it done within an hour. They are great. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable, nice, and kind. They are extremely honest. They are not going to make you pay for a repair if you do not need it.

I asked the garage to look at a small power steering leak and problem with cruise control both repairs were quoted at 800.00 each. I wanted a second opinion and was quoted 143.00 for his hourly labor charge.

AAMCO Transmission and Total Car Care

I?m an experienced ?weekend mechanic?.  Working on vehicles is a hobby of mine; I enjoy it.  That's what saved me.

On 18 November 2014 I purchased a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee.  Within the first month of ownership I flushed the cooling system, replaced the upper and lower radiator and bypass hoses, radiator, radiator cap, radiator overflow reservoir, all the oils and fluids bumper-to-bumper to include the transmission fluid and two transmission filters.

On about 23 December 2014, my transmission failed. I had gear one, two and reverse only.  I attempted to fix it by replacing the valve body solenoid, input and output speed sensors.  I flushed the transmission, inspected the shift linkage and electrical connections, and did everything I could without removing the transmission from the vehicle for a teardown and rebuild.  My mechanical experience is vast, but I don?t have a transmission saddle or lift to complete the necessary work.  On 12 January 2015, I called AAMCO Transmission and Total Car Care (Nampa Idaho) and explained that I need a transmission rebuild or replacement?whichever would cost the least.  I explained that a rebuilt transmission was available at a local auto parts store for about 1800 dollars.  I also explained in detail all the work I already performed in my unsuccessfully attempt to fix the transmission.  I was quoted under 1900 dollars for a full rebuild minus a torque converter and planetary gears, and was told that work would be completed by the end of the week (Friday, 16 Jan).  I was happy with the quote and delighted with the completion date.  I was told that once work begins I was committed to 850 dollars to cover labor.  I agreed to the terms and had no reason to cancel the work so I called a tow-truck to get my Jeep and deliver it to AAMCO Transmission and Total Car Care of Nampa Idaho.

Friday came and went with no call.  Monday?no call, Tuesday, 20 Jan I received a call and that was where the ?bait and switch? was revealed.  I was now told the cost was $3762.46 and a little more than 4300 dollars for all necessary and recommended work.

They told me I need a solenoid.  They also told me my transmission fluid is burnt.  I replaced the solenoid and fluid the morning of 12 Jan, the day the Jeep was towed to AAMCO of Nampa.  Replacing the solenoid was my last attempt and with a solenoid replacement comes a fluid job because the solenoid is inside the transmission with all the fluid.  I immediate recognized a deceitful, lying, and thieving business and told them the deal was 1800 dollars, that I replaced the solenoid (to which the employee stated ?I forgot you told me that?) and to put the vehicle back together ?I?ll take it somewhere else?.

They refused to release the vehicle to me unless I paid 850 dollars.  I explained that the deal was for under 1900 dollars and the terms were changed by them, so there is no deal.  I spoke with two different employees and the owner, M. King, several times to resolve the conflict.  There was no resolution other than me paying 850 dollars to get my Jeep.  I was told by M. King and one of the employees that a mechanic lien would be placed on the vehicle and by law I had no choice but to pay 850 dollars.  I called the DMV and other State of Idaho departments and they all agreed that a mechanic is able to place a lien for services provided.

I paid the 850 dollars, paid a different mechanic to test the solenoid, paid court processing fees, and took M. King, the owner, to small claims court.  I won the case and was awarded more than 1100 dollars to cover court fees, the vehicle tow fee, solenoid diagnostic fee (to show the judge the solenoid was in fine working condition), and the 850 dollars.

To expand on AAMCO Transmission and Total Car Care of Nampa Idaho?s deceitful, lying, and thieving business practices; the recommended service paperwork I received stated I needed a new upper and lower radiator hoses (see paragraph two). They stated I needed a new ?reverse? (not true).  There were many items I was told I needed, but AAMCO of Nampa didn?t realize that I?m a weekend mechanic.  I provide the judge with a binder or receipts for every part AAMCO of Nampa stated I needed.  The judge recognized the lies.

Bottom line, I don?t think they looked at my transmission or under my hood, so I believe the 850 dollars for labor was a lie.  The recommended services were all lies also.  If I was inexperienced in auto mechanics they would have taken me for a lot of money.  Stay far away from them and if you want hones reviews don?t look at the star rating on their website, M. King controls them.  Instead look elsewhere.  These people will lie while smiling straight at you.

    JIFFY LUBE
I arrived.  The attendant came out to my car and opened the door and asked me if I would like to go into the waiting area.  He offered me coffee and a newspaper.  I had a 1/2 hour wait for my car to be serviced -- I was 3rd in line -- and after only an additional 15 minutes I was on my way.  The service was the best I've experienced at Jiffy Lube.
I used to be a loyal Jiffy customer, but there was a time when the service was dropping and I quit coming to them.  However, I decided, after a 2 year lay off, to try them once again.  Imagine my surprise when I discovered that they had changed completely at the 12th Avenue store in Nampa.
I will once more become a regular as long as the service is at this high quality.  I recommend the Nampa store.

    Geek Squad - Best Buy
Poor, did not save things on one computer and the other computer that went in for repairs was not fixed at all.  Time is poorly manged and the waiting in line for pick up was over 30 minutes.
