Roofing reviews in Moscow

Ive literally never seen such an unprofessional company. When our roof was supposed to be done by the end of June. We didnt hear anything for over a month because we tried to contact them three different times. Its now the end of July, we were promised it would be done. Yet, no one will come do it since its busy season. If its busy season, dont make promises you cant keep. Would absolutely never use again. Incredibly unprofessional business. They keep saying we cant get out of our contract. Im sure a judge would disagree.

    Shiloh Construction
Terrible, the workers would show up between 9 and 10 in the morning, take an hour for lunch, then leave at 3 every day. Of course I was billed for 40 hours a week for each worker, whether they were there or not. The work was shotty at best, the window in our bedroom leaks and mold is now growing. After the work was done and the contract was paid as agreed plus an extra thousand, I was given another bill for close to six thousand dollars for extra labor that never happened.

    Osprey Exteriors
Osprey sent mail advertisement that they repaired leaky roofs so I called. I also called another roofer but never received a response from them. Osprey's owner Ben called me back right a way and was over to look at what needed done within a few days. Since I was filing an insurance claim on the leaks I requested an estimate to send to our insurance adjuster. Ben's estimate was within pennies of the insurance estimate so I hired him and his team. An appointment was made within a reasonable time and the foreman with an assistant came at the appointed time to begin work. They fixed the first leak and attempted a fix on the second one, but it continued to leak. I let Osprey know of the problem and requested that they make additional repairs to fix that second leak. There was a lot of time that went by between the initial work and my receiving an invoice. The invoice, however, was not an accurate reflection of the work done, so I requested an accurate invoice and again requested that they let me know if they were going to return and fix the second leak. Again, after several weeks I received what they deemed a corrected invoice and a statement that they were not going to return to fix the second leak. They thought I should pay for their efforts on the second leak even though they had abandoned the job before fixing the problem and I would have to hire another contractor to do the job properly. I was very disappointed that our relationship broke down in this way.

    McVay Brothers Siding & Windows
Contacted 9 local contractors, 4 came out to do bids but only one actually gave us a bid. None wanted to do the work that late in the Fall. McVays gave a prompt bid, and they did quality work in a timely fashion. Their guarantee on siding and windows that was transferable to new owners made their slightly price seem well worth it. They were extremely fast and professional and stood behind their work.

    CLARKS ROOFING
Clark carefully selected a winter weather window with a stable high pressure system which allowed his team of six to seamlessly
re-roof our home without a bit of drama while displaying a level workmanship and teamwork that was a joy to experience. The material used was truly first class and well emulated the original cedar roof with the pluses of being both fire retardant and suitable for the high wind loads encountered here. His Company could well serve as example of the type contractor any homeowner would be pleased to trust without reservation to work on his or her home.

    Shiloh Construction
Shiloh Construction (John Akin) inspected my roof and provided a summary of necessary matintenance. As the required maintenance was minimal (power spraying off moss), he recommended that I could complete them on my own and provided advice for best results.
John was prompt in returning my calls and was quick to perform the inspection when the weather cooperated. Easy to work with and professional.

    Big Bear Construction Inc
Professional, explained everything, cleaned up after their own mess which is HUGE with me.  Very conscientious of safety for children and pets, always made sure work site was secure, hardware picked up, tools put away and unplugged, and areas where working cordoned off.

    BI-STATE SIDING & WINDOW INC
Excellent from day one. Two teams were sent to do complete siding and roofing of our home. Both teams did an excellent job. The workers arrived on time and cleaned up after each day's work. The team that did the siding took the time to explain what they were trying to accomplish each day, and alerted us to additional problems they came across while working on our home. They finished the job on time and actually (believe it or not) submitted a final bill that was lower than the original estimate!

    EAGLE ROOFING CO
I called Eagle Roofing to repair a leak (on a Sunday), in March.  The owner dropped by the house a few hours later, and inspected the roof.   He talked over options and recommended installing a temporary patch (tarp) until the entire roof could be replaced.    He showed me how the repair should be made so I could do it myself.    I asked about replacing the roof ASAP and he pointed out that the shingles need summer sun for the adhesive in the shingles to bond.  Moscow is windy and dusty.  The dust would stick to the adhesive and create a poor adhesive bond.   An irresponsible roofing contractor would probably love to work in March, but Eagle roofing recommended waiting until it was warmer.

We received an estimate a week after the visit in March, and we called to schedule the roof installation in July.  The work was done in a week during August, and the final bill came in slightly below the estimate.  The quality was excellent, and there wasn't a single piece of scrap or old roofing left on the ground when the work was done.
