  Dr Sabol and her team at Small Animal Clinic are amazing. Our dog had surgery yesterday to remove his dew claws and a couple of large skin tags. He has a heart condition and they took all precautions and reassured us that he would be fine. Dr Sabol personally called last night to check on him, and one of the nurses called again today. I love that they care so much about our baby 😭

  Splash Self Serve Pet Spa

  The experience was wonderful. I walked in with my Black Lab, the owner helped me with the nice ramp to help the dog into the wash station, they provided a variety of shampoo or conditioner, the scrub pad, a great water sprayer, and even a blow dryer! In addition they provided a waterproof apron for me and towels. The owner helped me throughout the process and in very little time I had a clean and dry dog, and I was also dry and ready for my next errand. AND... they clean up after you! This part alone saves me a lot of time and effort when otherwise you have a wet, shaking dog in your nice clean bathtub, right? The owner is very well informed on nutrition for dogs (and cats) and offers some good choices for appropriate foods that are not the big box brands that are using mostly fillers. I learned a lot and left with many food samples, all of which my dog loved. I highly recommend this service for the easy and well appointed wash stations and experience, but also for the varieties of good pet foods (dog and cat). I will be going there again as the cost is well worth it.

  Bark Central Dog Daycare & Boarding Resort

  The dogs seem to have had a good time. All the staff obviously are dog lovers so we were very comfortable leaving our two guys there. Definitely would use again if ever in the area.

  SAW TOOTH SPRAYING SVC

  We go to them off and on for the dogs and cats. We used to use them for the horse too but they no longer do horses. Sometimes if I go in the morning for an emergency I have to wait but that's only because I they have to fit me in.

  BO-LAY GROOMING

  I have been taking my dogs to Bo lay grooming for the past ten years. She does such a great job and my dogs love going. I have a dog that is terrified of loud machine noises and so she takes the extra time to let him air dry. People always ask me where I get my dogs groomed and I always recommend Crystal. she always cuts them exactly how I ask and I've never had any issues. I will say that once I had to take one of my dogs to a large chain store groomer because he got into some garbage and I couldn't get him in to Bo lay because she was out of town. I was so disappointed with their services and price. I always tip her because she does a great job and I don't think she charges enough.

  Alta Animal Hospital

  We've been taking two cats (one long-hair, one Siamese) and two dogs (one German Shepherd and one small mixed-breed) to Alta for years. Since moving to Idaho Falls we still go to Alta for regular check-ups because they are that good. A few times we have had emergencies come up and had to go with someone local--but still it was Dr. Nickisch at Alta who figured it out, later, or implemented the treatment that was most effective. We've always had very positive experiences, for wellness exams, emergencies, and minor problems, and the whole staff were very kind and sensitive when we had to go through euthanizing one of our animals. They explain all costs in advance, discuss pros and cons of different options, respect your decisions and help you make the best decision you can in the care of animals.

  ALAMEDA PET HOSPITAL

  Dr. Crystal spent time explaining that my cat needed to lose weight and gave me the tools to get that accomplished. It also worked out that my sister brought her very sick cat at the time I was finished. We didn't know that her appointment was then, but my husband and I stayed because her cat had non-treatable cancer and she needed us. Dr. Crystal and her staff were so loving and compassionate. My sister was grief-stricken and went to the waiting room with my husband. Dr. Crystal allowed me to stay with my sister's cat to stroke him and talk to him until he was gone. When she carried him to the back (after he was gone), she cuddled him and held him close. When she came back to the waiting room, we all cried. She is the most gentle, loving, kind, and sensitive vet I have ever had. She went the extra mile for my sister and, a week later, gave her her kitty's ashes and a plaque with his paw-print and his name inscribed on it.

  MATSUURA VETERINARY HOUSECALL

  We have used Dr. Matsuura a couple of times. The first was when our 150 pound chocolate lab was 14 years old and could no longer get up. Knowing there was no way I would be able to get him to town to a vet, I made the very emotional call to Dr. Matsuura and she came to our house and helped walk myself and my kids through the whole process before she began. She was the perfect person for such a delicate situation and I can't think of anyone better when it's time to end a family pet's misery. We also called her when one of our cats had a major infection in his leg. She took a look at him and could find no lesions. She prescribed an oral antibiotic which she had with her. We administered the medicine and within a couple of days he was well on his way to recovery. Her house calls are just the thing. She helps you and your animals feel very comfortable with whatever she is doing.

  Doc Stone and his wife, Joanne, run a wonderful veterinary hospital! They are very caring, efficient, and up-to-date, and have never disappointed! I'm not surprised that Doc Stone is the president of the Idaho State veterinary association this year.
