    A-1 Quality Concrete Co
Not honoring the senior discount at 10% that it shows on Angie's List. Only wanting to do $25 off total. Initially the job was to cost $7000 but now well over that. I would like them to honor the senior discount and issue us a refund of 10% of the job. I would like an itemized statement from the job.

    Hamland Construction Co
Dustin and his staff were fantastic. I've never had a contractor communicate like Dustin. If you call him, he either answers right away or calls you back within minutes. Additionally, when he did our job, we were his priority. His crew showed up to work everyday and constantly asked for our feedback to make sure we were happy. During the final walk through, Dustin was very picky about how things looked. He fixed things that we hadn't even noticed. I would completely recommend Dustin and his crew! Very happy!

    Lenz Custom Concrete LLP
Our patio turned out HORRIBLE. Poor stamping technique, conduit for gas line was too small to use, circle in patio around our tree was completely misshapen/distorted, excess black antiquing left the patio looking like oil had been spilled all over it. We mentioned the color before he sealed the patio and he lied to us saying, "the color will soak in", rather than fixing it at that point. Subsequently, we spent multiple days working on our own to remove sealant so the color could be corrected. we later found MULTIPLE LAWSUITS and that his LICENSE WAS ON PROBATION Search for Lenz Custom Concrete on the Idaho Repository to see cases filed against Mr. Lenz's business. Look Mr. Lenz's license up at the Idaho Bureau of Occupational Licenses to verify probationary status and read the public record regarding the action against him. We made the mistake of not researching Brian Lenz before hiring him for a stamped, colored patio. He did a terrible job! A circle surrounding the tree in our patio was distorted and not circular at all. Control crack joints were placed farther apart than industry standard. A conduit installed for a natural gas line was too small to use. There were multiple double stamps and the stamp depth was inconsistent resulting from poor technique. We found out later that his license is on probation for structural problems in the past, and that the photos on his website were not his own, but were copied from other sites. We complained twice to Mr. Lenz about the coloring issue prior to sealant application. He ignored us and sealed it anyway stating,"the color would soak in," then he asked for final payment before the job was finished. Mr. Lenz wasn't knowledgeable enough about the products he used to know the color could have been easily repaired before sealing. We had to take him to small claims court for reimbursement after spending multiple hours and over $1300 removing sealant and sawing grout lines to fix his poor workmanship. Not surprisingly, we found that he had already been taken to court 3 times within the year preceding our case. Save yourself the trouble and use a more knowledgeable, teachable, and experienced contractor. See our patio pictures under Lenz on Yelp. [weblink removed]

    Bicknell Builders
I contacted Bill for a bid on some concrete work which included a repair of some work that I had attempted to do in years past.. He was prompt and was very professional all the way. His crew did a great job as well. I had a few changes along the way and Bill took it in stride as well as having the patients to take the time with my wife as she made up her mind on what she wanted. Bills' quality of work is top notch!! I am very happy with him and his crew. The price of the job is a reflection of the quality of work done, he isn't the least expensive but you get what you pay for. I will use  Bicknell Builders again if I ever need cement work done again. Thanks Bill.

    Curbs 4 Less
We used Curbs 4 Less for our front yard.  We purchased a foreclosed rental that needed some love, but ran out of energy before we got to the yards.  The front yard was a priority a couple of years ago, and we happily called them back for the backyard today.  They are quick and easy to work with, though it is the busy season and we had to wait a bit longer than we wanted after our initial estimate.  We were spoiled from before being able to get a quote and have work done the same day.  We knew we would wait for quality work though.  Now that our projects are complete, we will likely not need Curbs 4 Less again.  However, we will continue to recommend them to neighbors and friends.

    First Choice Curbing
Cody and his helper arrived as scheduled. They removed old curbing and took out sod to widen the area and replaced it with new curbing. They also installed curbing in a new area (designed by Cody) where there wasn't any and also removed the sod. Cody and his helper did a great job!

    JSC Handyman Services Inc
We've lived here 7 years and rarely used our back deck because it was only partly covered.  This past summer we wanted to change that and decided we would do some sprucing up.  In the course of trying to figure out what we wanted to do we noticed that our deck was falling apart due to poor construction.  We decided the best course of action was to hire someone to rebuild the deck and with a pergola for added shade.  After talking to five different contractors, I thought one more wouldn't hurt....... we liked Jonathan right way! so we hired  JSC Handyman Services (Jonathan Stewart Construction)  After a couple changed start dates Jon and Dillon started digging the footings on Saturday Oct. 11th.  The same day my husband and I demolished the old deck.  Jon even loaned my husband a sawzall.  We were off to a good start and it set the rhythm for the build.  Dillon and Brian also worked on the deck and pergolas (we added a second pergola on the side of the house) cutting, sanding, staining, laying the trex, installing the railing and much more. They all did a great job and worked very hard.  Jon's quality of work is impeccable and he aims to please.  He will do exactly what you need him to do, you just need to give him the time and space to do it in.  Jon is very down to earth and is as honest as they come.  We had a different idea of how we wanted the stairs to look.  Jon made the necessary changes and didn't charge us for the extra time or the cost of the material.  On the last day Friday Nov. 7th.  Jon brought a truck load of landscaping rock to replace rock that got hit with splattered cement and also fill in some newly empty areas.  We didn't ask him to do that and he didn't charge us for it either.  Jon even cut the old curbing to fit in the new spaces, which we weren't expecting him to do.  Jon washed down the new deck and made sure everything looked nice.  When it was time to settle up and pay the remainder of our bill, there were no hidden fees or unexpected cost.  Jon stuck to his word and to his bid.  I know nothing ever goes as planned and to expect some bumps in the road, but I'm happy to report  it was all pretty smooth.  The job took longer than Jon expected, but that was ok by me because it was worth the wait.

The crew did a great job.  They measured and laid out the extension, dug out the sod and top soil to the proper depth.  They brought the concrete around to the back in wheelbarrows.  Leveled out the new slab.  Similarly they laid out the sidewalk, poured the concrete and leveled out the sidewalk.  All of the work was done in one day.  They let the concrete cure and came back a couple of days later and removed all of the framing.  They were very thorough, did a great job with the cleanup.  All crew members were professional and polite.  They matched the existing concrete work so that the new construction looks just like it might have been done when the house was built.  I would definitely recommend them.

I was here up to the truck coming here. Everything went very well. They were fast and did a good job. They included their costs with the other company. I would be perfectly comfortable in giving them a high grade.
