Picked up car, abs, stability control, traction control and brake lights were all on. Talked to front desk guy and the mechanic who did the work. They stated this is what happens when aftermarket struts are used in place of the factory adjustable ones. Was also told the alignment couldn't be put to spec. Took to Les Schwab they did the alignment again and got it within spec without a problem. Also found the reason for the lights was both wheel speed sensor harnesses had broken wires. Apparently Meridian automotive stretched the harnesses when replacing the struts. Will not be back.

High quality work at a great price. On time with service delivery. Easy early moring drop off. Always new what was going on. No suprises. Can't say enough about how well I and my family have been treated. I would recommend them to anyone.

Truck didn't seem to want to start.  Did manage to drive it to Bobby's.  They found a seriously corroded battery cable, cleaned it up. Starting problem corrected.

This is a high-mileage vehicle so there logically could have been a number of problems. Bobby's was honest about the trouble and got it back on the road.  Not the first time I have dealt with them in a situation where they might have sold me something not really necessary but did not.

    Intend to go back.

    Poor service -
    1. wheel covers were not put back on correctly - couldn't see the tire valve stem on three out of four tires = I put them on correctly
    2. wheel covers were making a noise like there was a stone or pebble in the cover - first I was told I had to live with noise, then I was told I had to take them off and drive the car without them, then they finally fixed them after I insisted they correct the problem.
    3. The mechanic had indicated that he checked my engine airfilter but he didn't do this. It was really dirty and covered with bugs when I took it out at home. I replaced the filter myself.
    4. The "next service sticker" put on the windshield was wrong. They had me coming back in 11,000 miles instead of 7,500 miles.
They put on a new one with the correct mileage.
I told them that I had no confidence that the first mechanic who worked on my car had done all the things he said he did. I asked if they could have a certified mechanic look over the car. They did this.
As long as the car is under warranty I'll go back to a Subaru dealer for service but after that I'll go elsewhere. This was really poor service. They did promise to have a certified mechanic service my car the next time instead of their quick-lube personnel but where does that leave other customers? They did say they are now spot checking vehicles that are serviced to catch things that are wrong.

Rooster's is clearly a very well run shop.  The reception area is clean, tidy and very well organized, it creates a relaxed, friendly and comfortable environment.  Dave is terrific, even as a first time customer, I immediately felt reassured that I would be well taken care of.  All in all a wonderful experience, I would be happy to recommend Dave, Rooster and his shop to anyone.

This was my first time to use their express service without an appointment.  Even on a Saturday afternoon, they got me in within 10 minutes and were finished in an hour.  They were thorough and courteous.  The waiting room was clean with nice TV's and reading materials.  The price was very fair and included a free car wash.  I will definitely be going back for all of my service there.

I discovered that my starter had failed in my 2006 Acura TL.  It was parked in my driveway and after several attempts to get it started, I phoned the place I normally had my car serviced (in Boise) and they told me to bring it in and they would get to it as soon as they could, not indication of how long or the estimated cost to replace the starter.  I contacted my insurance company and arranged for a tow truck.  Before the truck arrived* I spoke with a family member who had work done by Bobby's in the past and suggested I called.  My first thought was Bobby's Transmission, but I'm dealing with a "starter".  I called and talked with a gentleman who suggested I try a few things that might help me start my car.  He stayed on the phone and guided me through those suggestions but I was still unable to start it.  He told me to bring it down and they would know by the end of the day what the problem was and "may" have it done that day.  When the tow truck arrived I told him of the destination change and asked if he knew anything about Bobby's.  He told me that he had been hauling cars there for years and never heard anyone say anything bad about them.  Within minutes the tow truck was headed to Bobby's.  I went down within the hour and spoke with a gentleman (wish I got his name as he was extremely professional, friendly and assured me  they would have the work done by the following day.  I left confident that my favorite driving car was in good hands.  Later that afternoon, my teenage daughter who had been driving the car recently told me that she had left a few things in the car that she needed, I called Bobby's and asked if I could come by and get them out.  When I arrived I was told that they had found the problem to be the starter and that they would have it back to me the following day.  He told me the price of the repair and I was pleasantly surprised as I thought it would have been more.  I got a call the next morning around 10 AM (almost 24 hours from when it arrived at Bobby's) telling me the work was done and that the car was ready to pick up.
sIn all, I was extremely impressed with the professionalism, the responsiveness and the cost of repair.  Bobby's will be my first point of contact with ANY further automotive repair need.  I do wonder why they call themselves Bobby's Transmission INC. as they do far more that work on transmissions.  I think they may be doing themselves a dis-service by not changing their name to something like Bobby's Auto Repair.  Had it not been for my oldest daughter telling me about Bobby's and the work they had done (not a transmission problem either), I would have passed on them due to their name.  I am so glad that I didn't pass up this opportunity to work with a local business
    * Farmers Insurance was fantastic to work with and had a tow truck on site within 30 mins.

Excellent.  They are professional and personable.
I have serviced both vehicles here and every time they do a great job.  Owner goes out of his way to make sure you aware of options and considers our budget.  Fixed windows that won't roll up for about 75% less that other quotes.
I trust them and have referred my family and friends to them.
Honest,  family owned business.  They respect your time and are courteous.

We purchased a used car which we were assured had been thoroughly inspected.
After driving it for two weeks, the AC started to blow warm air.  I contacted my salesperson and told him what happened.
He rudely asked me what I expected him to do since we did not purchase the warranty.
I explained that I certainly knew that they weren't responsible, but I would like to see if they could take a look and offer an explanation as to what happened.  Then perhaps we could discuss some sort of resolution.
I brought car into the dealer's mechanic.  They told me that it looked like I had run over a rock and put a hole in the AC's compressor.  Cost to repair was $800.
I elected to wait and repair the AC at a later time.
    Fast forward to Spring 2014....
I took auto into my local mechanic.  They did an inspection and ran dye through the AC.  They could not find a hole! The car had simply run out of refrigerant.
    Imagine that....
I paid the mechanic to refill and car has been cool and comfy for the last 3 months...and it has been brutally hot here lately.
I am pretty sure that holes in AC compressors don't heal after a year and a half.
Something is suspect about taking your car (that you just bought from them) to the mechanic and being lied to in order to not own up to the mistake you made in selling a car that was obviously almost out of refrigerant, and then covering it up and asking me to pay for a repair that isn't needed.  I know that they were recently bought by Corwin Ford.  I hope that there is some new processes in place and those that lie to make a sale don't work there anymore.  However I still get sales emails from the person who sold me the vehicle so I suspect it is just more of the same there.

There's a gentleman there named John Niece in the service department and he is phenomenal, that man will work his tail off for you. He's done very well for me and getting things on my warranties that needed to be fixed and not having me charged. I'd say he is the most fantastic customer service person that I have come across. I wish I didn't have to wait so long to have my car service, I could go like do a giffy and be done in 10 minutes so that part I do miss a little but I wouldn't trade the quality of service I get for that. I will use them again in the future as long as John was there. I have had bad experience with one other service person there but I just wouldn't recommend him for sure, I would definitely recommend John. John is the guy, John Niece.
