    The crew was very professional and polite. They did a great job cleaning up the yard and were very helpful with recommendations regarding non-trimmed trees. Their equipment was in good shape and ready to go on arrival. I was fascinated watching the crane used to remove the two large poplar trees and the tree climbing expertise for tree work where the crane was not used. They worked really well as a team.

    A&J Curbing
    The curbing is falling apart after one month of installation in several areas. I have called several times to get the owner Jeremy to come over and fix it and we even offered to pay for the repairs in the message I left him and he still never called back. My husband and I feel this is very poor service. If you want someone dependable that keeps their word I would suggest calling another curbing company. The cement shouldn't have started to fall apart after one month of installation.

    Professional Lawn Care
    Jason and his crew worked tirelessly to get everything possible done within the 2 hours allotted on the special deal.  Additional time was needed which was expected but he kept it very reasonable.  Very satisfied with his work and his knowledge of landscaping in general.  He gave me several great recommendations on where to buy material and supplies I will need to complete my landscaping remodel.

    Scotts Lawnservice
    We have paid Scotts for a couple of years to take care of our lawn, shrubs and trees. The lawn service has been Ok, no serious problems. But the tree and shrub service has been a waste of money. We have one shrub that died this year. One of our pear trees was having problems (bugs eating the leaves). And now our globe willow is showing brown spots at the end of the leaves. Scotts advertises this on their website for the tree and shrub service:
    "Continuous Monitoring Of Your Landscape Plants - Following your initial landscape inspection and evaluation, our Miracle-Gro® Tree and Shrub Care specialists regularly monitor your landscape plants, noting their response to the program and looking for any signs of trouble."
    I have seen zero proactive monitoring and prevention of the above mentioned problems. A complete waste of money, considering that I now have a dead shrub and two ailing trees.

    They quoted me $240, and I said that seemed high but I was willing to pay it. He said it may not be $240, but if it looks like it's going to go over $240, they'd call before running the bill that high. They did not call until the service was done, and the bill was $270. So that was bad. But I paid it anyway.
    Then when I get the mower home I find out that the transmission has been screwed up. I asked the previous owner (my Dad) and he told me that he had never had problems like I was having. I searched online and found another guy with the same problem as me, and he said he had taken it in for service and the shop screwed up the transmission. I also had a problem with the mower deck being too low, but that was not caused by Mag Small Engine.
    I called Mag Small Engine and they said that their service is guaranteed for 30 days so they'd fix any problems I was having. I asked if they would come pick up the mower (because I don't have a truck). They said they'd have to charge a fee for that. So even though they screwed up my mower, I have to pay them to come pick it up and fix it.
    I am having a different guy fix it. Will not use Mag Small Engine again, and will steer friends and family away from them.
    It's sad because my Dad has used them for years, but the original owner who my dad used to work with is retired now. I guess the new younger lot has not learned the value of quality work and good customer service.

    I am very satisfied with the job this company did for me. They were on time and explained what they were going to do and how they would to do it before starting the job. Cleaned everything up after the job was finished. This is a good company and I will use them for any future needs.

    Ground Innovations LLC
    My initial experience with the Ground Innovations team the summer of 2012 was very good.   However, once the initial landscaping was completed my dealings with the company have been totally frustrating.  Mr. Peterson promoted his company based on their long history of service in the community and that fact they weren't going anywhere.  He assured me they were only a phone call away and all materials had at least a 1 year guarantee.   My experience is the opposite.  I have found this company to be dishonest and unprofessional, totally lacking in customer service and communication.  For instance: 
    1)  After leaving several messages inquiring when they were going to complete the winter irrigation blowout and treat the weed barrier that wasn't working Mr. Peterson returned my call on 10/3/12 and said that the winterizing had been completed the previous Tuesday.  I inquired how I was suppose know this when no one bothered to leave a report of the work done or leave a courtesy phone message.  I mentioned that a few plants had died but he said to wait until spring and give them a chance.  He said he would stop by in the spring to check plants and the  irrigation system.
    2)  On 4/3/13 I left a message asking when to expect the spring check to be completed.  Mr. Peterson left a message saying that he would take care of the irrigation system around 4/15/13 and would call and let me know the results.  I found out that he did stop by but he never called with the results.  I called him back and left another message asking him to verify that it was okay to turn on the irrigation system and again asked about the dead/dying pants.    He never returned my call.  I had to hire someone else to recheck the irrigation system and make adjustments so I could begin irrigating.  
    3)  I was still having problems with the irrigation system and left messages for Mr. Peterson on June 3 and June 10.   Finally on June 14,  two of his assistants arrived unannounced when I happened to be home.  They promised me they would be back by Friday, June 14, to fix the remaining problems and replace the dead/dying plants.  No one turned up so I again left a message for Mr. Peterson on June 15.  Since I wasn't going to be home I left notes prominently displayed outside in case they stopped by.  When I got home one of the notes was missing but I had no way of knowing if anyone stopped by or if the wind had blown the note away.
    4)  For the next several weeks I continued to leave messages requesting an update.  I finally reached Nick, an employee, and he assured me that he had been by and replaced a sprinkler head.  However business had been very busy and he hadn't been able to secure the replacement plants but promised he would do it the following week.  
    5)  It is now 6 weeks later and I still haven't seen or heard from anyone at Ground Innovations.  My phone calls are being ignored.  I can no longer recommend this company.

    I received a bid on Tuesday and was told work would be completed no later than Friday for sprinklers, gates, and clean up. Was not done and continued to ask for more money. They didn't call dig line. They failed first two inspections. I was promised each day it would be done the next day no matter what. Then when it wasn't it was always someone else's fault. They were never on time when they did show. They promised the lawn would look as green as when they started. It's dry and dead now. They didn't finish the work and told us they did. They asked for more and more money while they weren't getting work done. Finally told them we no longer wanted to work with them and offered them a final thousand dollars to make sure the sprinklers worked and leave. When they accepted they told us there was something wrong with our power because the timer wouldn't work. Discovered they created a short by not wiring correctly and burring the wire running to timer. Never took responsibility. Very unhappy

    During our first call to Roger we were told he could give us an estimate on Monday and start work on Tuesday. When he came out, work was scheduled for Thursday. He called on Thursday and said he would be out on Friday, they were behind. Then on Friday we waited all day and no one showed. We called in the afternoon and were told they would check the schedule and call back. Never received call and we called back were told they thought it was scheduled for Monday. They finally did the work after another rain delay. We were happy, other than some minor cracks we weren't happy with. When we expressed this to them they immediately offered to fix them that Saturday.
