She is knowledgeable about our pets, takes plenty of time in her exams, and makes both the pet and owner feel well cared for. She loves animals, and always does everything she can to keep them healthy. The facility itself is clean and welcoming, the staff is always friendly.

My Border Collie has an internal condition that was eating her nose away. I took her to another Vet who said it was skin cancer and would keep growing and he didn't do anything for her. I took her to the Blackfoot Animal Clinic and I am so happy that I did.The two veterinarians, the techs and office personnel are so caring and compassionate and they treat you like part of their family. The vet started making calls immediately to other veterinarians to get information on what could possibly cause this problem so we could get her on a treatment. They didn't waste any time trying to get to the bottom of the problem and they didn't charge me hundreds of dollars trying several things. They did a biopsy of her nose and sent it into the Lab immediately to find out what was wrong. When the tests came back they started her on medication to take care of the problem. We are trying to get her to a dose she can be on the rest of her life but she is doing great. Her nostrils have grown back and she's a happy dog again. I am so thankful for the loving, caring people at the clinic and I won't ever go to anyone else. I have 3 dogs, 1 cat and 2 horses and I will take all of them there. I recommend the Blackfoot Animal Clinic to everyone with a pet!! I can't say enough nice things about them.

They are just wonderful. They are closer and local to me. They try to match if you try to shop around for prices. They are just more expensive than the others. They are very personable, very professional, they explain things. There are two vets and they both are very good. Last time I took the puppies in for shots and it was $80 a puppy. It was real pricy at that time as I had six at that time. I would use them in an emergency situation as they are closer.

    ANIMAL HEALTH CLINIC
It was an emergency situation and my little Pomeranian was pregnant. The same time we were in California as my husband’s brother was dying. His son was here and he was supposed to take her in to be X-rayed and taking care of as Pomeranian’s got problems delivering sometimes. He didn’t take her and I talked to the vet. They were going to take my card and everything as they had known me from previous visits but she got an infection and all the puppies died. We had to take care in after that for an emergency and they were wonderful. They called me up there and worked with me something better. They were only the calm in the storm. They worked with me and great personnel.

THE VETS OFFICE IS VERY FRIENDLY. THEY DO A GOOD JOB IN THE EXAM, AND HOW THEY TREAT THE ANIMALS. THE DOCTOR ALSO CHECKED OUT MY OTHER DOG, AND HE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE AN APPOINTMENT.

I could not provide correct dates or charges as it was along time ago. I have brought animals there several times in the past, but probably over 10 years ago. My cat passed away there because it was brought to them by someone else but they were not given permission to treat. This was in 1992. Paid a bill for the cat being there. My dog was having seizures and I didn't know what was wrong with her. It was an emergency call. The vet was not happy and asked me what I wanted her to do about it and I said save my dog! I was a bit surprised at that attitude. She agreed to meet me there... My dog passed away on the way to the vets. I have brought a cat there that had been spayed at a low cost clinic that didn't do a good job. Her guts were hanging out and dragging all over the dirty garage floor. Dr. Rhonda Alijah Davis cleaned up the guts and cauterized(?) the wounds. The cat recovered but unfortunately never let us touch her again. The job done by the vet was good. The main reasons I don't go there much anymore are 1) location I no longer live on that side of town 2) my current vet(s) also handle horses and livestock; I like having my animals at one vet 3) cost was a bit more expensive.

    PEND OREILLE VETERINARY SVC
I took my cat in because he was very ill. The people were very compassionate and responsive to my needs. They were gentle with my kitty who is very scared of other people. They got us in right away even thought they were extremely busy and treated my cat immediately. He was kept for 3 days and was much improved by the time he got out. I may have lost him that day and they made sure that did not happen.

I called the vet and told them my cat wasnt eating and had lost considerable weight since his surgery a month ago. They told me to bring him in. The vet took one look at him and ordered a diabetes test. His blood sugar was 356. Which meant hospitalization to get his sugars under control. As of right now he he is still there. They are trying to get him to eat. Then he can come home and we have to give him Insulin.

    MATSUURA VETERINARY HOUSECALL
We have used Dr. Matsuura a couple of times. The first was when our 150 pound chocolate lab was 14 years old and could no longer get up. Knowing there was no way I would be able to get him to town to a vet, I made the very emotional call to Dr. Matsuura and she came to our house and helped walk myself and my kids through the whole process before she began. She was the perfect person for such a delicate situation and I can't think of anyone better when it's time to end a family pet's misery. We also called her when one of our cats had a major infection in his leg. She took a look at him and could find no lesions. She prescribed an oral antibiotic which she had with her. We administered the medicine and within a couple of days he was well on his way to recovery. Her house calls are just the thing. She helps you and your animals feel very comfortable with whatever she is doing.
