    Walaliyadda, Dr. Ananda
I've been going to Dr. Walaliyadda since February 2005. He was just starting his own practice, so it's been nice to him expand his business as word of mouth got around at how good he was! I've been on 4 different treatments since 2005, and he's up to par on any new treatments available. He makes sure he does blood work every 3 months to ensure there are no serious side effects from the medication. His staff is awesome! They know you by name, and they are very knowledgable with insurance and billing procedures. They go the extra mile to find answers to your questions if they don't know. The reason for the grade of 'C' in availability and the 'B' in communication are for several reasons:1. He is one of very few rheumatologists available in our area, so he has a pretty large patient load.2. His has two offices; one in Pocatello and one in Rigby Idaho. His office is only open Monday through Thursday, so he is only in each office two times a week. This sometimes creates a delay of getting prescription refills, and returned phone calls. This could be due to the fact that he is just one of a few in his field available in this area. However, these issues are not enough of a reason for me to consider going to anyone else!

    Portneuf Medical Center
My doctor is in Logan and I didn't want to travel on winter roads, so I had him refer me to the IV center at Portneuf so that I could get my shots locally. The billing was my big problem. They overcharged a whole bunch compared to what my regular doctor at the clinic that I go down to in Logan charges me. I wrote to them and they did not even acknowledge my letter. The least they could have done would have been to acknowledge that they received my letter. They are the only hospital in the area, so I guess I have to go to them if I needed to go to the hospital. When I was in there in October for pneumonia, I got super care. They were just really good. But there again for what they billed me for the three days that I was in there, I could have taken a trip around the world.

    Akavaram Reddy MD
So, I am grateful that I was able to see someone sooner than later, however, I would not recommend Dr. Reddy as a long termphysician to care for me.

    Akavaram Reddy MD
His bedside manners are uncalled for. He told me one thing and told me to do the research and when I asked him about it, he wouldn't answer. It is a very long waiting list to get an appointment and he won't treat you for anything relating to your diagnosis, only the diagnosis itself. He doesn't like it when you go to another doctor for another opinion. He doesn't like attorneys so I am suspicious of it, every time I mention I work in a law firm he becomes the nicest person I've ever met.

    Walaliyadda, Dr. Ananda
At the first visit, they ran a ton of blood work to test for lupus, RA and other autoimmune diseases. At this visit with the PA, he asked me multiple times if I had stiffness and pain in my joints, to which the answer was no. They had me come back for an ultrasound on my hand and wrist, and they also had me go get a chest x-ray. On the follow up visit with Dr. Walaliyadda, he went over all the test results with me. He diagnosed me with RA and Sjogrens disease. Again, he kept asking me if I had pain and stiffness. I kept telling him that I really didn't, and he made remarks such as maybe I was so used to the pain that I ignore it and don't notice it or maybe I have a high tolerance to pain. I felt like he didn't believe me that I didn't have pain, and he kept trying to convince me that I did indeed hurt. He started me on a treatment plan, but I never felt good about it. In fact, once I started on the medication, then my joints began to hurt. I went to an internal medicine doctor for a second opinion. He ran one more simple blood test for anti-CCP, which he said has become the industry standard to help diagnose RA. It came back negative, which means I do not in fact have RA. He explained that my rheumatoid factor could come back positive just from the Sjogrens, and it wasn't enough to diagnose RA, especially considering that I had no pain. I would never go to Dr. Walaliyadda again. I felt like he didn't listen to me, he had diagnosed my condition before I ever stepped foot in his office, and he was only out to make money off me.
