AWICKSTROM CONSTRUCTION LLCDenny performed as a true “10” in building us a spectacular pool house. He patiently walked us through the project and was there with us every step of the way. His skills as an artisan are incredible and when necessary he was able to enlist one of his vast array of ‘all-star’ sub-contractors, who read like a who’s who of professional contracting companies in the local area. They all seemed to share the pride we all had in the project and because of the relationship and harmony they had with Denny would often agree to forego other projects to work on our pool house. Although Denny’s overwhelming focus was on the pool house itself, he was indispensible in overseeing related pool and landscaping concerns as they arose. To cite just two examples, he interceded with inspectors from the town of Eagle on resolving a code violation on a pool retaining wall before it got out of hand, and he was vital in assisting with a drainage issue that threatened our entire backyard project. Denny’s honesty, integrity, and resolve in solving any untimely bump in the road as it arose was remarkable. The project was completed in a timely manner and now we consistently hear compliments of our pool house, and backyard in general. Denny became a true friend for all he did for us and I wholeheartedly endorse him to anyone looking for the best general contractor to complete any project.- Ken / Susan L.

ACK Rogers Design Build RemodelI had noticed several weeks ago, an ominous wet spot on the ceiling of my basement laundry room. The spot quickly grew and developed into an intermittent waterfall that occurred whenever the kitchen sink was used. Homeowners insurance covered all damages to the house, but not the repair to the plumbing itself. My agent referred me to CK Rogers. I have had two prior experiences with restoration and remodel companies and was prepared for weeks of scheduling/rescheduled/excuses based repair work. I have never been so impressed with a contractor. From the moment I called him, he answered his phone, made arrangements for testing, contacted subcontractors, and kept me informed with every detail. After coming over to assess the damage he was concerned about the possibility of asbestos in the ceiling and lead in the paint. He tested, and after the results came back positive in the ceiling, arranged for the work that needed to be done by a certified abatement contractor. He routinely showed up to introduce me to the workers/subcontractors that would be working on my home that day. His demeanor was kind, courteous and cooperative. He took the time to explain what the process and procedure would be and was very informed. With this minor disaster happening just before Thanksgiving, I was concerned the holiday would be impacted and my home would smell of paint. Without my voicing my concern, he made arrangements to use a new "environmentally responsible" paint produced by Sherwin Williams that, while it was applied yesterday, I can't smell today. I have to say if I ever have any work done again, this will be the contractor I call. (All this and his wife had delivered a baby the day before my initial contact with him, so he did all this sleep deprived!)- Vicki F.

AGriffin DrywallGriffin Drywall added a couple small pieces of missing Sheetrock, fixed a couple of holes. Then he taped the entire room, tied in the already textured ceiling. He had to match the texture of the ceiling to tie it into the corners. He then also textured all the walls to match another room that was already done. Paul did a great job. Was very easy and profession to work with. Made sure to keep everything clean. Took really good care not to make any mess in the rest of the house when coming and going into the room. Would definitely use him again for any texturing I will need done.- Jason M.

ALoren Dahl ConstructionLoren is meticulous, detail-oriented, fair, patient and flexible. He worked hard to accommodate my crazy availability to be here and show him what needed done. Eventually the trust grew to a place where we just gave him a key. He has a strong work ethic and a gentle, kind personality so is a delight to have in the home. He brought me a dozen different knob options to make sure I liked the one he would install on the mirrored closet door. Loren is so thoughtful & thorough. He researched until he found light fixtures to perfectly match the one's we already had outside so the ones he added would match. He helped me catch up with endless little home improvement projects and wasn't too proud to turn down the simplest of tasks. He also saved us $2,700 on repairing a retaining wall compared to a quote we got from another contractor. He was wonderful with our dog. My husband & I like him so much we wish he'd move in next door. We will never use another contractor, handyman, plumber, electrician, carpenter, stone worker, mason, etc. as long as he remains available to us.- Daniel M.

AI would recommend Remedy Residential to anyone and everyone. We are absolutely thrilled with the remodel Eric did for us as well as with how great it was to work with him. His skill set is immense along with his knowledge about old homes and new. In our case, our house in North Boise was built lathe and plaster in the 1930s. He knew exactly how to handle it and everything that comes along with working on it. He maintains good communication, has great recommendations and in general is an all around great guy. We appreciate all the work he did, all the sub contractors that he managed and for how well he kept everyone accountable. I will undoubtedly reach out to him again for our next project.

AI highly recommend All Trade Construction, which I found here on Angie's List. Bob is the contractor for All Trade, and he was excellent and thorough from start to finish. He built a new detached two-car garage to match the style of our 1950s mini ranch house. He put the time in to give us an accurate estimate for his bid--i.e. like calling the plumbers who replaced our main sewer line to see if the garage project would require moving its location and thus unforeseen extra $$$. And the time he put into the estimate paid off because his bid was quite competitive compared to some of the others we received (which ranged from $20,000-$40,000 in the winter of 2019). This thoroughness of Bob's also meant that the project had few, unexpected additional costs. Once we had the contract signed and the permit ready, Bob scheduled his sub contractors promptly, and then entire garage was done within a few weeks. Basically, Bob ran a tight ship, and throughout the process he communicated what was happening and when it would happen--like deliveries or sub contractors showing up and when. He was also at the job site, practically daily, inspecting the work. Then at the end of the process, Bob cleaned up the job site himself and raked out the gravel around the concrete slab's driveway / apron to make it more tidy. One last relevant detail: after the job was complete and paid for, I painted the exterior to save costs, and in the process, I noticed a bowed stud causing a bump in the wall. I asked Bob about it, and he said that he would make sure it was fixed. I didn't have high expectations, given that his framers were so busy with summer construction season underway. But within a few weeks, Bob himself came back and fixed the bad stud.... That's the kind of work Bob did: detailed and honest. Thank you, Bob, for a great new garage!

AI decided to write this review after reading the review made by a client of Bade Brother's Building who gave them an F. I find it difficult to believe these claims and on behalf of Bade Brother's, I felt I had to share my experience as a client....I do not know them on a personal level. Our job was extremely difficult given the house is 130 years old and they had to custom fit each piece of a new staircase. They could not have been more polite or professional....and the work is exquisite like a fine piece of furniture. The stairs they put in were exactly what I had asked for with not even the tiniest fault. I watched as they labored making sure each board was fitted perfectly. I would highly recommend them as masters of their trade doing work that is above and beyond what we had expected. We have since moved and are considering a kitchen remodel so this is why I got on their site and saw these reviews. I will be calling them to do our job without hesitation.

BThe Insurance claim was handled very well. James dealt with the insurance adjuster very professionally. The roof repair was done in a timely manner considering it is winter and we had a ton of snow on the roof that needed removed first. The roofers were very good considering the mess with all the snow. Roof looks great and should last a long time now. No complaints about the roof. Quality of the roofing job was excellent. The interior repairs took a while as the roofers are not interior repairmen. If Home Town Rebuilders LLC is going to do interior work they need a trained interior crew to do it. Got the interior work done after 3 tries. AND James did see that it was done correctly. He kept in touch with us and made sure everything was done to our satisfaction. Interior overall was GOOD! final finished work was excellent. Over all Job was great, It might be conditions of working outside and travel in snow and cold but it took longer for them to show up as promised, told they would be here in an hour, took 2 hours. Weather could be a problem, but having to WAIT for workers to show up is never a good thing. Work is done and we are greatly satisfied and back to our normal living, final outcome very pleased.
