    Best Pest Control
It all seems to be effective and working fine. I've been using their services for a few years now. Everyone I've talked to or worked with has been helpful, polite, responsive, and professional. Everyone at this company has been great to work with.

    Affordable Pest Control
I returned from out-of-state to ants having a party in my kitchen, spiders building little homes everywhere, earwigs having eaten my climatis, and wasps that had taken over my yard, so I was scared to venture out to my deck or garden. I usually like non-toxic means whenever possible, but I had tried some that didn't work, and wanted to reclaim my home. I called Joe because of the ratings he had on Angie's list. He arrived on time, and was very professional. He seems like a very nice man. I was a little worried at first that he and his helper went too fast to do a thorough job. But the next day I noticed the demise of a number of creatures, and there seemed to be WAY less wasps flying around my house. But, the spraying disturbed the ants who apparently live in the walls of my home, and they came out and got very active. Joe came back at no extra cost, and put something out around the water pipes, and every day since then, there have been less and less ants. I know they're hard to get rid of, and I'll definitely call him again in a few months just to discourage unwelcome pests.

We noticed a large wasp nest on the eve of our 2 story house. It was out of the range of the wasp spray I could get at the store. I called and they were able to quote me a price over the phone and come out that week. He removed the nest and sprayed the rest of the house to prevent other nests. He gave us a 30 day guarantee that if we found any more to just let him know and he would come out and take care of it free of charge. I appreciate he didn't try to sell us other products or a year round service like the big companies tend to do.

I found Joe on Angie's list, and compared his price with the big name pest control companies. Joe's was easily the better deal. He responded promptly, and did a thorough job of clearing the house of spider webs and then spraying a barrier around the house and patio. Nice guy. I will certainly call him the next time I need a pest control guy.

I had used this company in the past at a rental house so when I bought a new home, wanted to have everything in order.  He came to the house and treated inside baseboards, garage interior, exterior around foundation, windows and eaves.  There were a LOT of exterior bugs.

Happy to report I haven't seen anything crawling inside.  Pleasant smell due to the oils used (e.g. peppermint, lemongrass, etc)

    Gemtek Pest Control

I called with an ant problem on 7/16/2014.  I called after hours and received an answering service rather than a machine or a call back message, so I was pleased.  I received a call from the Gemtek salesman the next afternoon who asked the problems I was having.  I told him ants and some unidentified little bugs in my yard.  We scheduled an appointment for 4 o'clock in the afternoon the next day.  I arranged to leave work early and got home and waited.  I called around 4:15 to the office and was told that my appointment was between 4 and 6 - cable style.  I didn't gather that from the phone call, but I was willing to chalk it up to a misunderstanding on my part.  The kid who showed up at the door at 4:45 looked unkempt with a dirty uniform and unshaven.  I work in the contracting world so it wasn't a huge deal on its own, but it speaks to a general level of unprofessionalism.  It was not the person I had talked to on the phone.  The "technician" then went out and was also unable to identify what my outdoor pests were, but assured me that his product would kill them.  We then went in to look at the ants which he told me were either sugar ants or pavement ants, but he was sure they weren't carpenter ants.  At this point I was getting very uncomfortable that he had any training whatsoever.  My guess is that he shows up hands people the clipboard, they sign and he sprays.  After all that I was still prepared to use the service, because "any port in a storm."  However, they require a one-year contract of bimonthly services at $99 a pop after the $125 first service.  The pricing differential for a single service would be "around $250" I was told.  When I asked what the cost would be if I broke the contract, it was $125 breakage fee, plus the total of unused services, so it would cost more to have them stop coming than have them come and spray.  That is worse than a cell phone contract.  I told him that I would pass.  Now, maybe Gemtek could have sprayed the house and yard and solved my problems, I can't speak to that.  I plan to go to Zamzows, pick up some ant bait, spray and some yard granules and try my luck doing it myself.  If it doesn't work, I'm going to be out under $100 and I won't be in some sketchy contract.

I have had good luck with Angie's list providers so far, but I have to say that I question the reviews on Gemtek and whether they are all by actual arms-length customers.  Couple this experience with the pushy telemarketing call I received from Angie's List today and I'm thinking about just using Google Reviews.  At least I don't have to pay Google for bad advice.

    The Organic Spider Man
The rental house had 4-5 insects and spiders crawling through it every week.  After a year of dealing with all the pests, I decided to investigate a pest service.  I had good experience with an organic company in another city so started looking for something in this area.
The owner is really nice.  Easy to talk with.  He explained all the products.  Took his time to get in all the nooks and crannies.  He sprayed around all doors and windows.
He explained the behavior of some spiders such as the Hobo spider he found in the garage.  Outside there is a smell of oils such as peppermint.  No chemical smell.
The number of insects has reduced to less than 1 a week.

    The Organic Spider Man
From the original phone call to schedule the appointment through their arrival, everyone was helpful and professional.   I appreciated that they educated me on their product and how the entire pest control process works.
My goal is to prevent pests from entering the house.  For the first treatment, Jeff sprayed the interior baseboards with an organic product (a non-synthesized pyrethrin product).  There is a gap underneath the baseboards where insects like to hide and the goal is to eliminate them living in that area.  Future interior treatments may not be needed if exterior barrier controls are maintained.
Next Jeff treated the exterior with a nice smelling organic product.  Every door, window, under the eaves and around the foundation were treated.  Due to rain, he also put down a corncob based granule.  I was impressed with his attention to detail.
I have watched other companies treat my neighbor's homes and they done in less than 10 minutes.  The Organic Spiderman took pride in his work and was very detailed and thorough.

    Western Exterminator
These guys were wonderful. Chad brushed all the cobwebs from the house and garage, and then did a thorough job spraying along the eaves and foundation. I am very sensitive to chemicals, but couldn't smell anything and felt good knowing it was non-toxic. Jordan crawled into several small crawlspaces under our older home and sprayed for spiders. Almost all the ants died the first day, and after the 2nd day we have only seen an occasional ant way out in our back yard. There haven't been any near the house or garage. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't seen a single spider in the house.
