Contractor was suppose to reseal shingles that did not seal. They did eveything possible to avoid doing the work. They charged $1000 for 3 man hours of work. They also added work that did not need to be done (told us more venting was needed, when we already had plenty of venting). Have heard from other customers that this also happened to them.

Don't have Gem State do any work that is not easily verified if it is done. Watch them do their work and verify they have completed the work. They were suppose to caulk exposed nails on our roof, and they did none of the nails. I think they were surprised when we went up on the roof to verify the work was never done.

This was resolved with the Better Business Bureau. Gem State Roofing prides on quality work we have been in business for over 28 years and we do everything possible to satisfy the customer. In this case there was a few things missed orginally and there was more then 3 hours involved, in trying to please the customer employees were instructed to make sure the customer was happy before they left. The customer walked the roof with employee and employee fixed anything customer asked and customer was happy when we left and then it was referred to better bussiness bureau and resolved.
