I had previously hired Mr Mudd to jack a patio slab to bring it back to grade. They explained that it doesn't always work, but if it failed they would credit half of the cost toward replacing the slab. That turned out to be the case, a result that I understood and accepted. When it came time to replace the slab, they were slow to respond - they did send a crew to remove the old slab, but it took quite some time for the forming crew to show up, and several more days before the new slab was poured. The finish crew told me someone would be by the next day to strip the forms and clean up the work site. That did not happen, and I wound up stripping the forms and cleaning up the site myself so that I could move foward with additional work. The explanation was that bad weather had put them very much behind schedule - a reasonable explanation, IMHO. However, that was not communicated to me until I went to their offices and asked. The work they did was excellent, but the timing and the communication were lacking. I would hire them again, but I hope the communication problems are being addressed.

They're a brand new company. They just started last fall. They were great. In fact I've got future work I want them to do. They did a great job. They are punctual, professional and do outstanding work. It was fabulous. They were there before me.

    Ray Jensen Concrete
Ray cut out the slab which was cracked and as a result of his excellent workmanship I now have a lovely porch with a flower bed where the cracked slab used to be.  The cuts he made were perfectly square and clean.  Ray also installed a channel drain in the area affected by the downpipe which will now allow all rain water to run from the roof, to the downpipe, and into the channel drain.  I met his crew at the house, left for work, and when I returned a few hours later all the work was complete and the area completly swept and cleaned of all debris.  I was so impressed with his punctuality and professionalism.  He was on time and completed the work within five days of my accepting his bid.  Ray and his crew deserve an A+ and I would recommend him to anyone.

After signing the contract, they pretty much stopped communicating with us. We weren't sure when they were coming, and after they did come and do some work, we weren't sure if they were done, or if they would be back to seal it or what. It was confusing. Adding to that, the work wasn't looking too presise. The stamp pattern they applied was crooked, and it rained shortly after they poured it, and they had not covered it, so the areas of the patio that experienced runoff from the house were damaged. They didn't correct this. I was wanting a pretty rustic patio, so I was willing to overlook the imperfections. We had the patio poured in the fall, and have been anxiously awaiting spring to get out there and decorate our new outdoor space. Sadly, when we went out first thing this spring, we noticed a large meandering crack through the patio. I was shocked...I know concrete doesn't last forever, but this was only a few months old! I contacted the owner and he said he would call me the next week to arrange a visit. He did not. I called back again. He acted like he didn't have my phone number. We set up another appointment, and this time he did show up, which was great. He looked at the damage, and basically said 'Concrete is unpredictable.' His response was disappointing. He did say that what he could do was send a crew out to cut some more joints to 'hopefully' keep it from cracking further. This wasn't great, but I felt I should accept whatever they would offer, so I said sure, and he said a crew would be out the next week. It has been several weeks and no one has been out or contacted me. Just LOUSY! Everytime I go outside, instead of enjoying my new patio, my eyes immediately go to the horrible crack, which is bound to get worse with each passing year.

During the call, they have a deal on a group and I guess there was an issue with them so I get a little frustrated and definitely the staff decided to take it out of me. I do not think that I am a horrible person on the phone but it was extremely weird. He even told me to take my head out of my ass. It was shocking. I called them back, I told them I am frustrated because the staff is extremely rude.

No drinking, no smoking, no cussing, no loud radio! Just total cooperation and quality craftsmanship. Troy kept us abreast of everything that they were doing. Always discussed with us in advance if there were any questions. Finished the job at the contract price. Agreed to discuss to extras before any were done. He "threw in" some extras on his own, at no additional charge. Troy's crew stayed busy, even when he wasn't on the job site. I've been in the construction business for over 40 years, and Troy is one of those that you could call "one-of-a-kind". I would hire him again in a heart beat!
