APEA CONSTRUCTION & REMODELPedro did exceptional work from demolition to prepping and installing floors, painting and removing some outdated built in's. Not only was he efficient in his work he had great ideas to save us money on both this job but also as we move to Phase 2 of this remodel. As an example he recommend we drop the fireplace and set it back a bit from where it was. An overwhelming project to us (And we assumed our budget) but, Pedro had that job done in less than a day and was back on schedule with barely a ding to the budget. Finally, Pedro is a true craftsman about his work. He did not cut one corner on our job. In watching him work it's clear he has learned these trades from the ground up (So rare to find these days) and it's that experience that makes him efficient and cost effective. It was a pleasure to have him do this job for us and will hire Pea Construction and Remodel for ever opportunity we get moving forward. Thank you Pedro and family!- Jason R.

I had terrible ice damming and it helped with the issue so much. My home had no vents and he added vents to help the attic breathe. I would recommend his services to anyone!- drew l.

AMarv's Insulation IncGreat -- After receiving the bid, I arranged for the visit. Our attic insulation had not been touched since the house was built in 1977. the gentlemen who did the job were very professional and quickly did what they needed to do. They were fast, but clean and courteous when they had to come through the house. Very careful about where the tubes to blow the insulation were placed and provided a minimum of fuss. DThe kitchen and one of the two bathrooms were spotless. However the rest of the rooms still had cobwebs on the walls and dirt smudges on light switches and such. The worst of it is that this company charged $100 over the high of the estimate, saying the house was dirtier than thought. When I told the caller about the cobwebs, he knocked $50 off. DO NOT HIRE or if you do, make sure to get an estimate in writing.

AI highly recommend All Trade Construction, which I found here on Angie's List. Bob is the contractor for All Trade, and he was excellent and thorough from start to finish. He built a new detached two-car garage to match the style of our 1950s mini ranch house. He put the time in to give us an accurate estimate for his bid--i.e. like calling the plumbers who replaced our main sewer line to see if the garage project would require moving its location and thus unforeseen extra $$$. And the time he put into the estimate paid off because his bid was quite competitive compared to some of the others we received (which ranged from $20,000-$40,000 in the winter of 2019). This thoroughness of Bob's also meant that the project had few, unexpected additional costs. Once we had the contract signed and the permit ready, Bob scheduled his sub contractors promptly, and then entire garage was done within a few weeks. Basically, Bob ran a tight ship, and throughout the process he communicated what was happening and when it would happen--like deliveries or sub contractors showing up and when. He was also at the job site, practically daily, inspecting the work. Then at the end of the process, Bob cleaned up the job site himself and raked out the gravel around the concrete slab's driveway / apron to make it more tidy. One last relevant detail: after the job was complete and paid for, I painted the exterior to save costs, and in the process, I noticed a bowed stud causing a bump in the wall. I asked Bob about it, and he said that he would make sure it was fixed. I didn't have high expectations, given that his framers were so busy with summer construction season underway. But within a few weeks, Bob himself came back and fixed the bad stud.... That's the kind of work Bob did: detailed and honest. Thank you, Bob, for a great new garage!

FNo response from two phone conversations (1st on 10/17) requesting that I send photos by email of the roof and requirements which I did. I phoned several weeks later (10/29) due to no response and the VERY rude receptionist said they had no record and there was no Angie's list offer that I qualified. I finally sent 2nd email inquiring and received a quote for $1,900+ to build this small frame. No one ever came by to view the specified job. The bid was outrageous. I had just had a covered 8'x12' wooden porch with posts set in concrete for under $3,900 the end of Sept. The new job did not require a floor. The only reason I contacted Brilliant was due to there being an Angie's list discount, Brilliant was the only referral and that my handyman was booked through the end of the year.
