    I emailed 5 company's and in fairness they were the only one that emailed back... saying they would be there Wednesday morning. I emailed back asking what time and how much? No response. I emailed two more times and when I didn't here anything by 8:48 Wednesday morning. I emailed them back and canceled. I gave them a C for professionalism because they responded initially and then just sort of went away.

    Mike called 15 minutes before arrival time. Arrival time between 8 and 10 was scheduled--he arrived at 8:05. He thoroughly tested all outlets and explained everything he was doing so that I can maintain the system in the future. Found that the vacuum had become disconnected underneath the house during a remodel this year. Waited for me to find the hose and vacuum head which my husband had moved outside to the shed because we didn't ever use it. Now I don't have to buy a new Dyson!

    This is rather hard to rate. It started off on the right track and then went belly up. I paid Angies the required $39.00 and then called to set up an appointment. Randy, the owner, came out. The problem with the stove was it just didn���t heat up to the required setting. A fan would intermitently turn on and cool down the oven. At any rate Randy found the thermostat needed to be re-calibrated. He did that but still had a problem. He then changed a sensor. Seemed ok but remember this was an intermittent problem. But we figured we would wait and see. I paid an additional $96.00. We tried the stove an hour later, same problem. Called Randy and left a message. He didn���t get back to me until the next day. He came out the following day, went through another round of trouble shooting. He ���thought��� he found the problem and off he went. No charge for that visit. My wife tried cooking dinner...same problem. Now here���s where I���m upset. I called him back and to this date he never returned my call. Done deal. And this happened over Christmas. We tried using the stove for a Christmas prime rib dinner. Destroyed the roast!!! I understand it was a tricky repair. But to never get back to me just wasn���t right. So I���m out $135.00, a $47.00 prime rib, and a stove. We went out a bought a new one.

The gas range was not repairable on the spot, but the technician provided excellent details about what our options were and what we might consider doing. We ended up doing a temporary "fix" ourselves. this wouldn't have been possible without Cody's input.

    I called and they sent someone out within 48 hours. He arrived on time. he asked me a few questions looked at it for like 2min. then gave me a diagnosis and price. He finished in 20min. (quicker than expected) He then asked if I had anything else I needed looked at or advice on.  He was very professional.

    I called Cody's Appliance the week of Sept 1 - 5.  The person I spoke to said that they would have someone call me.  No one called.  I looked at Cody's web page today, and the first page featured a large insert that said ' Free Inspection', and the phone number was prominent.  I called the number and the lady who answered, said that she had no record of any call by me from last week.  I decided to start again from the beginning.  I asked if they had anyone who had ever changed the bearings on a Kenmore Washer.  She said that all their repair people were authorized to work on Kenmore appliances.  I asked again if anyone had ever changed bearings.  She didn't know.  She told me that someone would come out and give me an estimate, and it would be $79.  I asked her why there is a charge for that when her web site clearly said Free inspection.  She said that from where she was she could not  access their web site.  She stated again that there would be a $79 charge for an estimate.  I told her that I would like someone who had ever done a bearing job to call and give me a rough guess on how much it would cost.  I didn't want to pay $79 to find out that they want $500 to to the job and I can buy a new washer for $600.  She said that they didn't do that. 
         They have high marks from people who have used them, so I don't have anything bad to say about their skill or their work.  I do think that if they shout Free Inspection on their web site, and their estimates are $79 it is certainly not free, it is misleading, and in such a case a refusal of a service tech to even call and talk to me seems less than friendly.

    Cody���s Appliance Repair
    the tech diagnosed the problem to be a thermostat.  He replaced the thermostat but did not have manufacturers part.  He said universal one would work.  It did not work.  I had another company try and fix which they did at a lower cost.  They replaced the thermostat that Cody's had put in.  This fixed the problem.  I called Cody's back to get their response which was that it was not their fault.  At no time did they remotely accept that they could have put in the wrong part.  The conversation was just them saying they had lots of experience and that it was not them.  I have never written a review before but feel strongly that they charge too much and do not stand behind their work.  My understanding is that reviews are to give people an idea of what their experience was.  In that vein let the buyer beware.

    The Trade Source HVAC-R
    I was under contract to purchase a foreclosed home from a bank. During the inspection it was determined that the furnace had been dismantled and lay in pieces. I asked a friend for a referral and a tech came out to take a look. He took one look and said I needed a whole new furnace and it would cost several thousand dollars. The next day, I went online and found an ad on Craigslist for The Trade Source. They were offering free no obligation quotes. The tech came out the same day and inspected the furnace. He took a look at everything and said he could put it all back together which he did in less than 20 minutes. He then cleaned it out and made sure it was working. We had no problems passing the inspections and appraisal before we closed. After closing, we had them come back out to do a thorough inspection and cleaning. I have referred them to numerous people and they always do a great job at a reasonable price.
