    These folks are doing wonderful work for the underprivileged in our community. They are overloaded and underpaid, but they keep at it. Please be patient if you have to wait to get in, or wait in the office past your appointment time.

    BE VERY CARE OF WHAT U ARE GETTING INTO WITH MEDICARE SUPP PRESCRIPTION PLANS.  I LOOKED AT A VERY POPULAR INS COMPANIES FORMULARY AND CO-PAYS.  GENERIC VICODIN'S CO-PAY IS $27, BUT LEGAL AMPHETHAMINE IS ONLY $4.00.  TOO MANY LAUGHABLE ONES TO REPORT HERE.  JUST READ EVERY SINGLE WORD.

    Dirne Clinic, now called Heritage Health.. Good that they serve to people with low income and/or no insurance. But quality is not so good. You get what you pay for. Some of the providers that work there truly care, but there are quite a few that don't. I have had a phone call from a very rude assistant/nurse (not sure which one) in which I could not believe how unprofessional this girl was. So snotty. The schedulers are not all that friendly either. Frustrating dealing with crappy providers and staff when you don't feel well. I have been seen there at the clinic probably about 6 times and I still don't feel well. Still can't figure out what is wrong with me and most of the Dr.'s there don't know much and they will blow you off...at least that has been my experience. Paula is good, and real nice. Grant the Nurse is real nice. I called to talk to a nurse because I still do not feel well and I am experiencing pain, and it took the nurse over 24 hours to return my call. Several times I was "treated" there at the clinic, they did not take me seriously and I ended up in E.R. the evening after. Just not very good experiences for me over all. The minute I get health insurance, I will not return there. I guess the clinic is okay if you have the common cold, but if you are really sick...not so good..in my experience.

    Aetna has by far the best IVR automated phone system I have ever experienced, and I am a consultant in that industry. You can do quite a few things with the automated system include find a doctor. When I have had cause to speak with them, I usually get a customer service agent quickly and they typically can resolve my questions on the first call. Luckily, I do not have to call often, but then I do not have complicated health care issues.
    Their website is good. It is still a good deal of work to track the explanation of benefits statements with the provider's statements to make sure you are paying the provider any amounts not covered but not paying them too much due to timing of payments, etc. Not Aetna's fault; just a fact of our health care system.
    I have had Aetna for 10 years and have been happy with them during that time.

    They are for people that have problems with the high cost of health care. I have been going to them for many years. I find them very good. They are over loaded so you have to wait.
