    The Rooter Guys Plumbing
They were here the day after I called. The job was well and cleanly done with minimal damage to grass or garden, by the end of the day. The replaced the shutoff valve in the house at my request at the same time.

When I get an estimate for a job, I expect the bill to come within 10% of the estimate. When a contractor starts charging for more rock than they said they'd need, I get cranky. They were supposed to be the experts on septic installation, but by disturbing (excavating) the soil around the test pit, Panhandle Health said that area wouldn't work for a drainfield anymore. Shouldn't my septic/excavator contractor known better? Caused me to spend more money pumping to a distant drainfield instead.

    Free Lance Carpentry
We purchased our home in 2004 as a fixer-upper. The first project was the kitchen. Dark wood, one small window, floor and walls yellow from smoke, 40 feet of flourescents in one small room (not kidding!). Wasn't sure what I wanted. Butch Peacock (owner of FreeLance) suggested we make vaulted ceiling, rip out everything from the studs out. So we did. The kitchen is now brighter, lighter and feels lots bigger. We then went on the the outside. Butch and his crew worked quickly, taking care not to damage any of the plants around the outside of the house. The outside looks like new with the new paint, new windows and new window trim (outside). Work done quickly, very high quality with a minimum of fuss.
Next came the bathrooms. We had the laundry room moved into the upstairs hall bath, a shower installed in the downstairs bath, all new fixtures, paint, etc. Removed old shower from upstairs bath and installed washer and dryer.
Master bath. Custom walkin shower, remove wall, build new wall around Jacuzzi spa. Wonderful! Thanks, Butch

He said it would be $600 and he would charge by the job, which he didn't normally do, because I didn't have much money. Then he said he had to move the drain, which was no problem. Then he had to build a wall. So then he said it would be $900 and I agreed. He had mostly finished when he wanted to be paid, so I was planning on paying him half of the $900 since he wasn't done. He came by my place of business and told me I owed him $1200! That he was getting paid $25/hour, and that he never said $900, but that the work would be $300-400 more than originally estimated (so that would be $900-1000). I told him he should have said something way sooner because I only budgeted $900. I gave him a check for $900. He left my place of business but returned 20 minutes later and said the check was a worthless piece of paper because he had to deposit it in his account, and he demanded cash. He finally left as I was on the verge of calling 911. Later that day he called my cell but didn't leave a message.

Michael Antonicchio, owner did a lousy job constructing my home. Failed to follow the blueprints and the "basement" that isn't finished is so cold my electric bills run $300/month. He me I could move in, but didn't have an occupancy permit, so I was evicted (he went on a bender instead of working) and had to stay in a hotel for 2 weeks, which he did not reimburse me for. Refused to return phone calls. His excavator also dug up the sewer line and I had to spend $5000 to fix it after I stepped in a sewage-filled sinkhole in my yard. He refuesd to pay for that as well. There are OSHA violations. Oh. and don't hire his employees, either, they're as bad as he is. He has currently dropped his PO box with no forwarding and disconnected his cell phone. As of late 2010 there are 2 complaints with the Idaho Bureau of Occupational Licensing, he doesn't return calls from the investigator, either. In fact the Ramsey Road address shown is at LEAST 3 years old. He can't be sued because he can't be found; he doesn't own property because if someone got a judgement they could put a lien on it.
