Mulch Delivering reviews in Boise

    Habiscapes
Michael Wiegand of Habiscapes is the very best in town. A+++++. Having experienced a nightmare scenario with a previous landscaper, I was in desperate need of a reliable replacement company late in 2017. With winter coming, Habiscapes jumped in, and did a tremendous amount of hardscaping in just 2 weeks. They then returned this spring to complete the project over the last 2 weeks. The project was quite involved, with several retaining walls, a new patio, fire pit, complete water sprinkler system, terracing the land into usable space, and planting the entire yard. Heres what you need to know about Michael completely honest, reliable, and fair in pricing. He always explains, in detail, the different options and the cost of each option. He provides a lot of flexibility in working with your budget. He also noticed mistakes made by the predecessor landscape firm and fixed them. His estimates were very accurate, so you dont have any surprises at the end. His crew are a good group of hard working guys - guys that stick with him, not different guys showing up all the time. I was frankly amazed at how much would be accomplished each dayI would come home from work, and think, Wow, they did that entire geo-wall in 1 day. Along the way, Michael communicates with you regularly by phone and by text he shows up when he says hell be there and works on your project until completed. I could not imagine a better experience. Thank you, Michael Wiegand and Habiscapes. Well Done.

Creative Landscaping & Tree Service LLC
I have to wonder if many of these reviews came from family and friends. Although Cito successfully portrayed himself as highly rated, the reality did not match up. Somewhere during the middle of the job I asked him to make a minor change to the shape of the bed as it was not the shape we had talked about. At that point his attitude changed from being accommodating to being curt with some underlying hostility. He did not do all of the things we had talked about and was vocal about things being close enough. He put in a watering system that was not compatible with the existing system on the same zone. He also agreed to move a couple of soakers for the new trees and instead said they were fine where they were. They are so far away from the trees that the water did not reach them; one of them was watering outside the boarder around the tree. I had to hire another contractor to come in and fix both of those problems. The top soil which he claimed was great had a lot of clay in it. The tree he planted was not secure and is leaning. He put in a raised bed that was supposed to be 8 inches high and after the first rain it is basically flat. His attitude at the end of the job was so bad that I just wanted him off the property. I would never use him again and would not recommend him. If you decide to go with the positive reviews at least have a detailed list of what you want done and make sure everything is on the estimate.

    Habiscapes
As we'd worked with Habiscapes in the past we had nothing but high expectations. The unusual winter/spring didn't help with any work that had to be done outside this spring -- and even meeting to walk the job was delayed by the deep snow this winter -- but Michael did a wonderful job keeping us updated and letting us know when they would get to our project. When they did it was great with a professional team that jumped in and cranked the job out in about a week (again the weather even then had to give us some challenges).

    Habiscapes
Our project w/Habiscapes went very well. Michael and his team were easy to communicate with, worked collaboratively, had good ideas and performed quality work. In addition, Michael was very willing to help us blend cost-saving "do-it-yourself" ideas w/his services. To get his team into your yard, which I definitely recommend, make sure to plan ahead. Have a clear idea of the work (from a designer, which he can steer you to, or from your sketch pad) before reserving your spot because he has a packed calendar in the key gardening months. We're thoroughly enjoying our updated landscaping!

    BARK BLOWERS
We needed the backyard garden area covered in mulch because the old layer was no longer holding moisture in the garden soil and the plants were suffering. So I promised my mom we would would get mulch. Rather than me buying bulk and spreading it since I was still recovering from hip surgery, I looked at blowers. I called several but Bark Blowers was the only one available during that week and their quote which was almost identical to the other providers.
So we scheduled a time I was home. They were late but the dispatcher called to let me know they would be running late which was nice. The 2 young men were very professional and took care to try not to damage anything in the garden since the hose is huge. They also had to work around a large pond where they were careful not to blow any bark into. They were very helpful and advised me that I had overestimated how much I needed (by quite a bit!) So they also did parts of the front for me and were able to adjust what I owed to what I actually used.
After they were done, they cleaned off the patio, sidewalks and front porch of the overflow and in general were very nice and professional. I highly recommend them.

    Farwest Landscape & Garden Center
We had a very unpleasant shopping visit at Far West on 6/22/2012. We went through the horseshoe enter/exit driveway, loaded two bags of sand into the back of our S10 pickup, drove back around towards the exit/office. We were immediately set upon by two employees who claimed we were stealing and/or shoplifting (I don't recall which). Jennifer and I were stunned as we were still within the Far West queue, with cash in hand, and moving towards a parking space. Jennifer was then followed around inside the store and harangued by someone claiming to be the owner and demanding to know, and ldquo; What else have you got in the vehicle ?and ldquo; We can't think of anything that inspired such abuse - our transportation, our dress, demeanor, demographics, etc. The only thing we can come up with is that it must have been a bad day at Far West. I'd advise not sending your family and/or friends to Far West unless they are aggressive and assertive enough to defend themselves against Far West management and staff abuse.

    Habiscapes
We moved from the "wet" Pacific NW to the Boise foothills which proved to be a foreign landscape to us.  We saw the beautiful landscaping Michael did for a neighbor and hired him.  Michael did not disappoint as he is extremely knowledgeable.  Throughout our landscape install he consulted with us to insure we were happy with placement of trees and shrubs, as the purpose of some were to create privacy.  Michael is a wealth of information, clearly loves what he does and was a pleasure to work with; he also made every effort to stay within our budget.  He and his crew were punctual with regard to their daily schedule, professional, courteous and extremely hardworking.  At the end of each day the site was left clean and immaculate.  The landscaping job was completed a half day ahead of schedule.  Michael encourages contact if any questions or issues should arise after completion of the job.  We would hire him again for any supplemental landscaping.

    Greenkeeper Landscape LLC
Jeff, the owner is very professional and actually listens to what you want to do, offering ideas or alternatives.
He is also patient...planning a large project takes time in selecting plants and where to plant them.
He returns phone calls and shows up when he says he will and if he cannot be there at the designated time he will call and let you know he is running late. As each project has gliches or the weather often puts projects on hold it is inevitable that things will not adhere to a strict schedule. But the project began on time and lasted one day longer than anticipated due to issues uncovered while performing the project. (things needing special attention, repair, etc.)

The Greenkeeper crew is hard working, respectful of your home and the neighborhood.
They know their way around water issues and sprinkler systems.
They seemed to care about the job.
I enjoyed them because they truly cared about what plant or rock was going where and they did not give up if they suspected something was not working as it should, ie, leak somewhere but hard to find.
    Clean up was excellent
I would recommend them to anyone wanting a sprinkler and/or landscape service

    Habiscapes
I left a phone message for Michael after finding Habiscapes on your website and reviewing their own website. I liked the idea that he liked using native plants that attract birds, butterflies, etc.. Michael returned my call and came to my home to discuss ideas. He was back in several days with a plan and an estimate. We set a start date for work to begin. We had some rain issues but Michael and his crew used that time for removal. He is great to work with, works right along with his crew and monitors everything. They are speedy, careful and prompt. If they were going to be a little late, he always called so I would know what was happening. He also plans to check back from time to time to make sure all is well. I plan to use them in another location. It was a very pleasant experience and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone seeking a great job at a fair price.

Treasure Valley Premier Services-James Feehan LLC
The work that James did for me was excellent! I was thrilled when I came home to a well manicured set of shrubs and 2 beautiful trees in my front yard. My yard was finally gorgeous and James and his worker cleaned up everything. He is such a nice, professional, well-spoken young man. This was the first time I actually felt comfortable leaving my house while the tree service worked outside of my home. I highly recommend his services to anyone. James was recommended by 2 unrelated friends. This is the third time James has worked for me. I have seen his other work and I am very impressed as well. James was punctual, clean, well-groomed and articulate. He has over 10 years of experience working with trees.
