Lighting Installation reviews in Boise

    Idaho Service Electric
Kyle inspected my existing wiring and updated it where necessary. I was pleased that he explained clearly what work was needed for the house to be safe without adding unnecessary work. He updated outlets around the house and added three more. He also installed three light fixtures and installed light boxes for two more fixtures. I am very satisfied with his work and can recommend him.

Called Pat out to hang a ceiling fan and install an electrical outlet for us. In the process, he found other issues that we were unaware of. Extremely knowledgeable, and great at calling and keeping you informed. Would defiantly recommend!! He is going to be our "guy" from now on for any electrical issues.

It went great. The overall quality of the work was top notch & the craftsmen were courteous &professional. The shower area had some issues with the tile work & I called them out a couple times to review the situation with a quick fix, but after several months it was clear the underlying structure under the tile was causing the problem. Jonathon came back out warrantied the work and rebuilt the tile section over 3 days & we're super happy with the results. I would highly recommend JSC. We've used them extensively on several other projects around the house & have always been happy with the quality of their work. Sheetrock, baseboards, attic ladders, kitchen remodel, appliance installations, siding repair. You name it they've done it and they've been great to work with.

    G&T Home Repairs
G&T Home Repairs have been AMAZING! We have used them for 10 years now and have ALWAYS had fantastic service. They are prompt, always pay attention to even the smallest detail, and are very affordably priced. We have had some very complex ideas for the house remodel, and Gerardo always finds a way to have it come to fruition. I HIGHLY recommend G&T Home Repairs!

As you can tell from above...not as planned. I paid all for half the job quoted, never got a return call from 2 different workers on a sprinkler cover and have to buy clips for a light to keep it in the ceiling. My microwave is hung though!

Awesome, awesome, awesome. Andy was 5 minutes early and was really nice. He inspected the issue and came up with a great solution. Also, I told him that I was not knowledgeable about wiring so he spent the time to explain what he was doing along the way. 5 stars and would recommend him in a heart beat.

Andy is a stand up guy, he was straight forward with the pricing, told me he would be able to figure it out in about 20 min and he was spot on.  The down side is the builder who built my house did the cheapest way possible to drop a power line and that is going to be expensive at some point.  But even with that Andy was able to tell me a cheaper way to fix the solution.  I was very please with his service and professionalism and would absolutely call him again.

Andy arrived on time and got right to work. Completed the installation in less time than expected. Was very respectful with regards to protecting property, (i.e., carpets, walls, clean-up, etc.) Exceeded all expectations. A very nice and professional guy! I highly recommend Brite Electric.

We were very happy with Andy's work. He responded promptly to email contact and showed up on time, every time. His business was professional: formal receipts; van identified with company name, etc.; website; BBB accredited since 2007. He was upfront about what could and couldn?t be done, talked through various options, and was creative at solving problems. We also appreciated his efforts to help us figure out what ?mystery? switches controlled, and other oddities we are finding in the house.

I paid too much!  I was not given a 10% discount & I don't believe the work above required a full 9 hours of labor by 2 certified electricians.
I had no problem with Mitch answering one customer phone call while I was being billed hourly BUT Mitch answered ALL incoming company phone calls.
While Mitch spoke to his customers on incoming calls, his assistant did little to no work or held a set of instructions while Mitch talked to his customers.
My cost was not reduced due time spent on his cell phone, scheduling jobs for other customers & some trouble shooting for them.  During one phone call answering many questions for a customer Mitch spent 12 minutes. His assistant didn't work during this call either.
Before Mitch started working at my home, Mitch gave me a bid for labor.  He mentioned 3 times that "labor cost would be $80 an hour".  I was never quoted $160 per hour, until I was paying the bill. Mitch did say earlier that it would take two men to thread electrical wire through the wall for the 50", 32 pound tv.  This sounded fair to me.
I don't believe that I needed two "certified electricians" at my house for 4.5 hours to complete the tasks I've mentioned above.
The tasks were done to my satisfaction but I was overcharged.

I am pleased that Mitch had four led potlight bulbs that he sold to me.

Angies List should know that I was not given their 10% discount. I saw two discount mentioned on Angies List before I hired Mitch and forgot to ask for one of them again when I paid.  Mitch knew I was a member.  After I paid him, he spoke of the discount and said he'd give it to me on next job they did for me.
