    Bill Carpenter Drywall
This is the third time in the past 10 years we have used Bill. He returns calls, gives estimates promptly and shows up exactly when he says he will and completes the job with good quality workmanship. Recommend him highly.

    Skyline Painting and Drywall, LLC
Henrys crew was able to perfectly repair a botched drywall job as part of our master bathroom remodel. They also handled our interior painting (wall and trim) and did an excellent job. They were able to start the job with only a few days notice and get it done quickly. We had to add some small $160finish-work tasks at the last minute and they were able to do that too. It was nice to find a company that does both drywall and painting to make everything go smoothly!

    Bill Carpenter Drywall
Bill did a great job. He returned my calls promptly, started the job without too much of a delay, and completed it in less than 2 days. I'm very pleased with the result and would certainly use his services again.

    JSC Handyman Services Inc
JSC was absolutely terrific throughout the process of restoring our home post-water damage. Jon from JSC communicated with us as needed, and would often respond within 10-15 minutes of a call or email. We never had an issue wondering what our next steps looked like or what we needed to do. The quality of the work and attention to detail was stellar. We have a quirky house with awkward angles, and not only did JSC restore the house, but significantly improved the lines of the house in regards to flooring, vanity, bathroom, etc. Pricing was very competitive, and the quality beat the crap out of what we've seen from previous competitors. We have a secondary project to remodel our bathroom and will be using JSC for this as well based on their work for this project. Bravo.

Above All Plumbing & Contracting Inc.
This entire situation was handled by my property manager, Phyllis Barker. I found it odd that the total job took Kevin and his workers 6 months to complete. The ridiculously slow progress was frustrating for Phyllis and the men who lived there. It may have contributed to why I lost what should have been a long term tenant in Sept. of 2017, much earlier than they had initially planned to vacate. When I returned to Boise in Oct. 2017, I was dismayed to find the wall he had repaired looked terrible. There was an obvious seam and the texture was messy and did not match the texture in the surrounding wall areas. The outside area where he had installed the drain was poorly done as well. Flagstones overlapped, lots of dirt showing, dug up yard and destroyed grass leaving a strip of ugly mud, etc. I spoke to Kevin Hinsdale by phone on Oct. 9, 2017. He promised to send his worker to redo the wall and take care of the other things. He never called me back. The project was urgent as I was hoping to rent my house quickly. I texted him on Oct 13 and emailed him on Oct 17. He did not respond. Finally I gave up and Osman Martinez to redo the wall so it would look nice to potential renters. He did a wonderful job, making the seam invisible and creating texture that perfectly matched the surrounding walls. On January 9th, 2018 I noticed the landing going downstairs was wet. I looked under the stairs and there was water running down the wall. This was the same leak pattern which occurred in Feb. 2017, the one that Kevin Hinsdale had been paid to repair. My neighborhood handyman, Brian Wallingford, looked at it. He said the downspout system was obviously failing with very little water. It had only rained .46 inches that day. To better understand the system, He called Mr. Hinsdale. Mr. Hinsdale said the system he installed was working as designed. My handyman said later to me that if it was designed to flood the house, it was working as designed. He put in a temporary fix, a long black pipe running along the outside of the house to dump water into an area that slopes away from the house. Of course this is ugly and not a permanent fix. I filed a complaint with the BBB on Jan. 12, 2018. The BBB contacted Mr. Hinsdale several times over three weeks but he did not reply. I now have to start all over and hire another company to do what Kevin Hinsdale was paid to do. I will also have to pay a lawn company to reseed the area of sod destroyed by Kevin Hinsdale. Then I will have to pay my handyman to re-lay the flagstone as they originally were. He charges $34/hour and said it would take about 2 hours. This will have to be done in my absence since I am moving away.

    Griffin Drywall
Paul came when he said he would to give us the estimate. His bid was lower than others we contacted, he showed up right on time both times (two sessions were needed to allow for drying time) and his work was first rate. He's also a really nice guy. We would hire him again and recommend him without hesitation to others.

    Design Painting and Drywall
It took Chris almost a month to complete the job, which in the end took another crew 2 days. There were countless issues with what he painted. For example all around the edges of the walls there were big gaps that were not painted at all. The wall paint was not consistent, he rolled the first coat and you could see where he missed areas on the second coat. It was like he tried to do the minimal amount of work possible to cover the area. He dropped paint all over the trim and hard wood floor. He did not lay down a drop cloth when dry walling thus I spent hours pulling drywall from my carpet that had been stepped on and dried in the carpet. When he took down the blinds he just threw them in the garage in a pile losing bracket pieces to put them back up. He didnt paint trim, ceilings, and an entire wall above my stairs all of which was in the contract. I told him I would be in town for the week a couple weeks in advance to walk through. When it was time to inspect the work Chris told me he could not be in town that week. After seeing the number Chris did on my home I politely told him he would need to do the walk through and this had to be fixed. Chris told me he would not come by he was too busy and that he would just refund my $600 deposit, as he could not meet my deadline. He didnt event pick up his ladder! Through the course of the entire job Chris was always too busy to show up and always asking for one more day. He painted at night, which was weird, and this was the excuse he used as to why the paint job was terrible. Bad lighting! Chris told me not to text or email him again. Chris never refunded my money so I back charged my credit card. After a month Chris sends me an email cursing and calling me names (as you can see he has done in his other reviews) He stated he would file a lien on my home if I didnt give him back the $600. Trying to strong-arm me. He had previously told me he would refund my money in writing! STAY AWAY FAR FAR AWAY.

Where do I start. I'm going to keep it short. Just talk to Steve the superintendent. ANYTHING you need the guy will make it happen. And it will be done right the first time no hand holding. The guy runs a tight ship and takes customer service to the max. I had brilliant services install my shower while remote. Gave them a key, they executed and that's that. Steve even made a trip back to educate me on an issue I am having with an unrelated job. Good people, thanks Steve!!

Tim and crew did an amazing job. We weren't very organized about what we wanted and they were able to make excellent suggestions. We're extremely excited to have a nice new bathroom and we'll definitely go with them next time we need a remodel.
