Initially, it went well but within a year, the entire crack in the patio between sections started crumbling. The entire length next to garage disintegrated. He had a new crew come out the second year to repair both and within 1 season, the entire repaired areas has broken free. In almost all areas, you can see the original concrete in patches several inches long. Plus, all new new paint that his crew put down looks like it was oversprayed and no longer has the original texture, much like bubbling paint. I paid an additional $700+ for this 'new' look. I took picture and will likely post on a website for everyone to see. I am being brutally honest. Feel free to come look at the walk by my garage and you will see what the entire job looks like. 885 Linden Pl (condos).

I was referred to Mike by a co-worker.  I called Mike for a bid and he made time to meet me that evening.  I had my job marked off for easy measurement.  Mike explained to me what he would do, why he would do it that way and he also took the time to explain why my existing concrete drive had cracks.  His knowledge of his craft built immediate confidence.  He gave me a bid within a few minutes and we scheduled the job for the week of July 20th.  We spoke the week prior and he confirmed that he would be ready to start my job on July 21.  I informed him during this call that I had made some slight adjustments to increase the size of the job and he was good with the changes.

He showed up at 6:45 on July 21st to meet me on my schedule and what really blew me away was the fact that they finished with the job by 7pm that same day!  They left my property in about as pristine condition as one could ever ask for which further impressed me and the amount of the upcharge for the expanded size of my pad was very fair!

Mike and his team did a great job!

    Five Stars!

Jerry was amazing.  There was a bit of a wait until he could get to our project, but once he did, he did a terrific job.  He worked well with my elderly parents, and listened to their concerns, and wants.  He was extremely knowledgeable and experienced in every facet of the work he did.  He was very conscientious about doing quality work, and he made sure that the repairs would last and that they were up to code.  I love the way it all turned out and I would recommend him to anyone, without reservation.

My home was built in 1996. The existing concrete step gradually pulled away from the house. Step was too small and a safety hazard. Additionally there is a window well directly under the front bay window in the sidewalk.  There was no way for anyone to escape through this window in an emergency.
I found Carlson Concrete on Angie's list. Called Mike, he was prompt and courteous and gave us a reasonable bid. He removed existing concrete which allowed us to dig out the existing window well. We replaced rotted wood, painted,  and installed a larger well. Mike worked around our schedule, and returned to complete the concrete step and sidewalk once we were done.
Mike provided suggestions to improve rain gutter system, and gave us the names of someone that could install railing.
I am very happy with the results....looks Awesome!

They came when said they would and performed the work to my satisfaction. They repaired the grass that was damage during the work. I had expected that I would have had to do the landscaping repair.

    Carlson's Custom Concrete Inc
We had been working on getting contractors up to bid on the project for 4 weeks.  Out of the initial 4 contractors that my neighbor had given me (he owns a concrete business and these contractors get their concrete from him), only 1 contractor called me back and came and gave us a bid.  We accepted the bid and four weeks later, after a handful of phone calls, they had yet to start the project.  On May 17th, I got online and found Carlson's Custom Concrete and called him because frankly, he had a website and I like it.  He answered right away.  I told him what we were wanting and he said he would come up late afternoon to look.  I texted him my address.  Friday night, around 5:30, he called and said he was on his way.  Once he got here, we looked at the sites and he explained what would need to be done in order to have it meet our needs.  This was appreciative, because he talked about having a "thiken edge" and using rebar so that the pads would be solid and not break off on the hillside.  This was not even discussed with the previous contractor.  I told him as I was leaving that I would inform the other contractor, which I did.  Mike and his crew showed up at 7:15 the next morning (saturday) to begin the prep work.  It was raining, however they worked until about 1 pm getting the land ready.  At 7:15 on Monday morning, they were here, finished the prep work, poured the concrete, worked it and finished by 12:00 pm.  Miked called me at that time, said that they were going to come back in the evening to remove the frames and apply the sealer. The sealer would take about three days to finish curing, however we would be able to move our building onto the pad the next day.  Water and rain would not hurt the concrete.  I told him "awesome".  In the evening his worker came, finished the sealer, removed the boards and was paid for the job.  Mike then called my husband after everything was complete and made sure that our expectations were complete, in which they were.  It was REALLY REFRESHING to have someone show up when they promised, assess what needs to be done in order for the job to be done right, then do it and then make sure we were happy with the results, not only at the end, but thru out the process.  I would highly recommend Carlson's Custom Concrete and would use them again if the need arises.

We initially contacted Jerry Stuart of J & J Construction for help with removal of our 3 tree stumps.  In getting an estimate for that we found out the he did many other types of work.  We asked him for an estimate for replacing our patio door (form the house), fixing our cracking patio and an RV pad.  In walking around, Jerry pointed out that our roof line was sagging due to an improperly installed post and discussed with us what we could do to fix it.
Needless to say our initial bid for removal of tree stumps soon blossomed into a full blown project.  Jerry was very good about discussing our options and very flexible in accommodating our needs.  Together we came up with a plan and work began the next day!!  Work began on October 20, 2012 and despite weather delays and additional work we added, we were completed by November 13, 2012.
Jerry and his team are extremely hard workers and have an incredible attention to detail.   The work that they completed for us is even better than I could have imagined.  It was fun working with them in coming up with ideas on some of the finish work.
I really appreciate have a crew that is on time, works a full day and works on Saturdays to get things done.  And did I mention their work is awesome!!
