    Duffer Construction
I would not have him for nobody. He put the cheapest doors in, the cheapest furnace in, and everything. The cheapest as he could go. I have to replace something every year. It's terrible. I called him when the windows started leaking on the inside. He said that warranty has be gone for a long time. It was the first year. I thought "Okay man, I got you marked." His name is John Duffer and he is excellent worker. He can build the most beautiful cabinets you have ever seen, but he has just become to much of an alcoholic and it ruined his business completely. If you ever hear that name, say "No no no, don't get him. I have heard that quite frequently since I have been in town. I had to lay a towel down in the winter because the windows would freeze over at night and thaw out when I turned the furnace to warm the house up and then they would melt run all over if I didn't have towels to catch it.
I had to pay $10000 to get a jack hammer to hammer down deep enough to where I could have a basement and they told me no problem when I asked about the lot here. Being a farmer for so many years, I knew the soil and it was gravely and I said "How deep do you have to go until you hit lava. "Oh, you have plenty of room." Well that is why I have to have a sump pump now because they couldn't go deep enough.  So the city's sewer and water is pretty shallow. He didn't even tell me about that.
Then I told him that I want my garage door 9 feet wide and 8 feet tall because I wasn't going to have any topper in here. He built them just the opposite, 8 foot wide and 9 foot tall. You have to be real careful getting the car in and out.
He just did what he wanted and did it the cheapest way and these were the cheapest doors and he built them accordingly. It was very poor. I wouldn't recommend him to anybody. He wasn't even truthful to me. I had to have the power company come in and measure the insulation and everything. He was the only contractor around here for many years. He left beer cans all over. It was awful. It was very expensive, very expensive. He could never put a ramp outside for my husband's wheelchair. He never did it and then the ramp was to steep because he couldn't put the house down low enough and we have a hard time getting into the garage in the winter time. I think he needs to be shut down. He did build me somewhat of a ramp in the garage, which was okay, but it's still pretty steep. I told him to put two windows in my bedroom, he put 4 in one room. I had to hunt him down every time I wanted to talk to him. He would sometimes show up on time. It took him 2 years to build this house. He was very professional when he got it done. It's nice when he got it down, but it took him forever and he skipped whenever he could. I do get a lot of compliments on my home, but I keep having to have things replaced.

    Duffer Construction

The work started in  April 13 2015. Demo the bathroom braking down a closet to open up a bedroom to make it a master bedroom. The walls should be texture and taped and all smooth surface ready to be painted. Build the walls for the shower and jetted tub, and put in the accesses door for motor for jetted tub. Remove Plaster from walls and ceiling and replacing with sheetrock, frame in door opening. Hall away all plaster and materials that they remove. Remove the carpet and replace it with  1/ 2 wood & carpet. Remove 11 windows and replace them with new ones and plaster the window trim on the ones that is needed. Hall away all materials that they remove. Replace wood trim on 1 window in the living room, not installing a new window.                                The work that John Duffer Construction left undone!!!!!  Unfinished flooring a 1/4 of the finishing wood flooring was put down and the rest is the base board exposed, and walls are lumpy not smooth surface it needs to be textured. My Jetted tub was scratched by John Duffer Construction. As soon as John and his crew Jim, Jason left for the day I called John up and brought it to his attention of the damage to my jetted tub and the compound (mud) long the side of  the wall of the tub. John calls the compound. (mud)  And now John claims he did not do it. And now John said he don't due floors, and he did not scratch the jetted tub. 12 windows total needed to be replaced with new ones and 1- window needed to have the window trim done in the living room. Out of the 12- windows, 8- windows replaced and done. 3- windows not done and 1- window trim not done in the living room.  John Duffer Construction is very unprofessional trashing my yard with cigarettes and showing up intoxicated to work.
