Good. The service man called my phone three times to see if "I wanted to schedule an earlier time". And then told me when he got there that he had tried calling me. Obviously I didn't want an earlier time. I thought was a little unprofessional

It's okay. It's average. When evening comes, I can't stream any movies because too many people are using it. They could have different hours. They're only open till four o'clock in the afternoon. 8:00 to 4:30, I think is their time for customer service and they're not open on weekends. So you can't call about your bill if they're not open. Most people are working during the day, so it's kind of hard to call when you're at work. I would tell a friend to find somebody else.

Initial setup and self-installation went pretty good, except they insisted on sending the modem to our new address, so you really can't get it until the day you take possession and/or move into the residence... and hope the package shows up that day. Our setup went well, but they then left the line on top of the ground for over 4 months. I called a couple of times and was told to be patient, but when I called back after 4 months they told me it shouldn't have taken this long and they sent someone out to examine the cable and they have now promised to send a contractor out to finish the job.

Part of our agreement when we signed up was a Visa gift card which had not arrived after 4 months so on my same contact to discuss the cable I asked about that and was told that I should have received a postcard with instructions on what to do. Since I had not, I was transferred to another number where they have promised this will arrive in about 4-5 weeks.

So, the actual service is fine, but if you have to deal with anything customer service related, be prepared to do follow up.

    Too many details to list.
Service kept going out.  On all 3--cable, internet & telephone.  Callers were told I did not have any service!  Sometimes I was unable to male outgoing calls.  Other times no one could call in.  I have gone days without cable and have waited 2 weeks for repairs.  I've had one technician who was terribly rude.  He had been there before & said there's nothing wrong. (basically told me it's all in my head). He wouldn't even come in one time...said there was no problem.  The same day a supervisor came shortly afterwards & told me that he found a problem in the lines that were affecting the whole area...where I had been told for months that it was only me.  I told him about the rude technician & he said that that tech has gone to anger management because he does have issues.   I could go on.  Every time I think they finally have everything fixed, it returns again.  The last 3 technicians were really good & fast with solving the issue and very polite.  So, fingers crossed!

Ordered internet service at a mall booth. The installer showed up on time and did a very through installation job. The internet service has been working well. I rented a router rather than buying because I had 2 of them go bad in the past.

    Direct TV
DirecTV are expensive as all cable companies are. We've had to have the cable guy out a couple of times this winter because of snowstorms. They are not responsive unless you want to pay for it. The internet is fine.

I have been using Mediacom for at least 5 years. Their internet for the most part is reliable and their prices are competitive. They are hard to get out, but once you get an appointment they come out on time. The people that you talk to on the phone are an A, but the people who come to your house are like a C.

I have been using them for 8 months. It was not worth $20.00. They were 5-7 years behind. I would only use for the television dish. It was just behind the time. It goes out every week and the technology was behind.

They were very helpful and very professional.  They were always willing to go the extra mile to help.  Their cost was excellent.  It is very competitive.  They don’t come out to your home.  Instead they trouble shoot over the phone.  I can't use them right now because I am living in a place that has a different provider.

The phone call I made to report the problem was handled very efficiently -- I didn't have to go through a complicated menu system to talk to a real person, and when I did get a real person, that person spoke English, which I very much appreciate. The serviceman who came to my home was punctual and professional and I was satisfied with his service.
