    We have hired West Side Appliance several times over the years, for appliances in 2 different houses, incl, stove repair (x2), dryer repair and vent cleaning, refrigerator repair, and washer repair. They are always professional and knowledgeable, and have always been very good about discussing options (i.e. when a repair is not needed or would not be warranted given the age and condition of the appliance). All of the repairs they have performed have worked well and needed no further adjustments/work. I will continue to hire them, and recommend them to anyone who asks. I wouldn't say they work cheaply, but having things done correctly the first time, and getting honest advice about when repairs are NOT needed is worth a lot.

    Dan identified the problem readily (nonfunctional fan and ice collected in the system). He had to order parts and come back. In the meantime we defrosted the refrigerator. Dan came back as arranged, replaced the fan and cost was very close to estimated. Frig has been working perfectly since. Would hire again for other appliance repair.

    This was a unique situation where Westside was hired by the sellers of the home I purchased to replace a broken knob. The technician arrived on-time and was very professional. He spent a few hours working on the stove, and left with the stove as he assessed it in working order. We were happy with the experience. Unfortunately, a few days later as we went to prepare our first meal, we noticed the stove was not in working order. Several burners were not responding/behaving as expected and it was essentially unusable aside from the burner the technician had worked on. As it turned out, the situation was complex - we eventually came to realize the stove had existing problems in addition to the broken knob that the sellers conveniently forgot when they stated the stove was in working order. Additionally, our home inspector and the first technician had not sufficiently tested the stove. Most of the burners worked on HIGH - but only on high - so if the other settings were not tested, the problem was missed. The grid that showed which areas of the cooktop were "ON" was also inaccurate (slightly more obvious problem? Thanks for nothing, home inspector.). After several rounds of discussions with Westside, we were fortunate to come to an acceptable resolution. Our stove works, and the technician went the extra mile of balancing our stove on its broken leg. While it did take some time and persistence to sort through the multiple issues to achieve the resolution, we left satisfied with our service and grateful for Westside's willingness to work with us. I have to mention the only reason for a B in professionalism was a canceled appointment the day after St. Patrick's day....possibly unfortunate timing, but inconvenient either way. It prolonged the issue unnecessarily.

    I have been using the company for about 10 years. They have a lot of various independent vendors available. I really like their service policy because I am not over paying for the services I need. The insurance for this really comes in handy for investment properties because I will not have any unforeseen expenses. They are very easy to get a hold and follow though.

    I originally called to have my refrigerator looked at, but during the time between my call and the appointment date my dryer started acting up. So I called Westside again and they said it would be fine if the service tech looked at both during one visit, which I appreciated since it saved me some trip fee. The service tech, Ryan, called in the morning as promised, told me a window when he would be here, arrived with in the window. Was very polite and professional, answered my questions as to the cause of the issue, game me some maintenance tips for preventing the problem in the future, repaired my refrigerator and dryer (both turned out to be relatively minor problems) and even reassembled my drier exhaust vent which I had taken apart before calling for help. I had expected to do that myself. I thought the fee ($80 trip fee plus more time for labor to fix the problems) was very reasonable for the services rendered.

    Often when you have a repair person come to your home to work on appliances, they make more money on the parts as they do on labor.  About five years ago (after buying a home with lots of appliance problems)...I started telling service folks to let me know what parts they needed and buying them myself.  This did not help me one little bit with lame service...but it did save me a great deal on the cost of parts.  ApplaincePartsPros almost always has the best price on parts, the most availability, and absolutely the best costumer service.  If it turns out you don't need a part, they will take it back and refund you.  Try that with a repair person!

    As a part time Do-it-yourselfer, I have really appreciated their customer service.  Most often you can use internet chat to work out what you need.  These guys are definitely "Friends of Consumers".

    Everything went very smoothly. Dan knew exactly what he was doing on a wide range of items that needed to be done. All the work was cleaned up and Dan was very courteous about trying to clean and fix things outside when needed. He even fixed our sink plunger when we didn't tell him that it was broken. 
    We would recommend Dan to anyone.

    Serviceman was courteous, respectful, called and gave us a 2 hour window when he would be there then called about 15 minutes before he arrived , diagnosed the issue. This was my first time using Westside but will call them again. They were professional and helpful from my first call to when the serviceman walked out the door,

    The woman who calls back when you leave a message is RUDEST, NASTIEST person. When idiot repair came out he gave me a quote. I said I need to wait because repairs were going to be $300 and it would take them 3 weeks to get the part. I tried another avenue that didn't work out. I called back and it was slightly over the 30 days. They told me I would have to pay the service charge again and even if it wasn't over the 30 days I would still need a service call because they fired the original guy who came out to my house. What in case something changed? The washer is still in my laundry room. What would have changed? Seriously? Way to stand behind your work guys.

    The only reason I used them is because they worked on the brand. When I first called them the woman was nasty and I decided not to make and appointment. I looked around but no one else worked on the brand so, I had no other option but to call them.

    If you have ANY other option to go with for service (like your nephew who is good at legos might have more knowledge) please do so. You'll be much happier.
