    Miracle-Ear
They were really nice when they were trying to make the sale, but as soon as they made the sale they turned nasty. Even though he has dementia they refused to let him return a hearing device that wasn't right for him, dragging the process out past the 30-day return policy. I think they're overpriced and don't actually do their jobs properly. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

My husband was diagnosed with Dementia. He was put on 15 different medications which gave him terrible side effects. Whenever I'd call the hospital to do something about it, the doctor (Dua Pratibha) would prescribe a new medication each and every time. One time I checked the disclaimer on one of the medications and it read, "This medication is not to be prescribed for an elderly patients with Dementia". I felt like Doctor Dua Pratibha reached a point where she wasn't listening anymore. I think maybe she was tired of us or she had too many patients. One of the side effects was falling and he happened to break his back during a fall. After he was released from hospital for that, he was not expected to live for more than 6 months. That was two and a half years ago. They took him off the medications he did not have to have and now he's healthier although he still has the Dementia. I learned question everything Doctors say because they make mistakes, which can be costly. I like Kelly Haffman, the physician assistant. She's an upbeat person and she listens when you talk to her. She makes you feel that you're important and you matter. She's punctual.

    Wolfe Eye Clinic- Waterloo
I needed surgery cataracts and knew my case was more complicated due to having Lasik years ago and the cataracts being early onset. I had one eye done at a different center, but did not want to return there. I was recommended Dr. Mason. He was professional, knowledgeable, and straight-forward. Even with my complications, I now see 20/20 out of the eye he performed the surgery. Very happy with the experience and the results.

    Allen Hospital
I was the first appointment of the day for the procedure and all staff involved were not only efficient and professional, but were also kind and caring.  They realized that I was stressed and took the time to explain the equipment and procedures, even sharing their own personal experiences with it.  I would choose this location again and not hesitate to recommend it to others.

    Covenant Clinic
My overall experience with them has been very good and I think they are really good. It is just like an athletic club or a wellness center and they offer classes and they have weights. You can make an appointment with the trainer or when you sign up with your membership they give you a free hour with the trainer and then they also give you a half-hour for massage, you can upgrade that to an hour for $7. I have used their massage therapist before and they are pretty good too. Regarding availability, they are there all the time. They are open from 8 in the morning until 8 or 9 at night.

    Covenant Clinic - Arrowhead
I had an appointment with Dr. Grauholz setup. I show up and find it has been changed because she had a wrist injury and could not do gynecological checkups. I was never called and alerted of this change. Because I needed to get a checkup in soon for insurance purposes, I went back another time to Dr. Foelske. She was nice, but unremarkable. Didn't have any good suggestions when I asked questions.
After the appointment, I needed to get a second copy of my mammogram order. It took five phone calls and a lot of frustration trying to actually talk to a nurse to reissue this order. It should have been one quick phone call and perhaps one phone call back. Not talking to multiple customer service people and getting three vague voicemails back from three different nurses. The customer service people are not allowed to tell the nurse what the call is about nor can they transfer you to the nurse immediately so you just have to take the chance you can pick up the phone when the nurse calls back. Hard to do when you don't have regular access to a phone at your workplace.
They also touted using the messing system online. Guaranteed response in two business days. First response from Dr. Foelske was vague and useless. It's been four days and no response to my follow-up inquiry.
Not impressed with Arrowhead Clinic.  I will continue to use Covenant, but will find a different location.

I use them because they take my insurance. They are all right. I don't have much choice. They seem to do all right. I didn't have to pay anything because of my insurance so they didn't send me a statement or anything.

    Hoogestraat, Dr. Adam
I have been going to Dr. Hoogestraat for years to help with my chronic headaches and general aches and pains. He is always pleasant and takes the time needed to explain the procedures and answer questions. He is very knowledgeable about chiropractic adjustments, preventative measures, and nutrition. His goal is to make his patients' lives better, not to get them in for more appointments or to upsell them on items available for purchase at the office.
I gave availability a B because he is only open 3-1/2 days a week in Waterloo and it is sometimes hard to get an appointment on Fridays. Highly recommend Dr. Hoogestraat!

    Trunnell, Dr. Mark H.
I have a fear of dentists and he is so calming, patient friendly and gentle. Sometimes you have to wait a few weeks to get an appointment but if you have an emergency they will get you in. Great service and the office is patient friendly. He goes above and beyond. When I had a tooth extracted he called me twice at home to check on me.

    Peoples Community Health Clinic
Peoples Community Health Care Clinic has been okay. Last time I was there I got a tooth pulled and I'd say it was one of the better tooth pulling experiences I've had.

The doctor, I've been going there for that for a few months. I'd say they're pretty good too I guess. Part of it might be me, I thought I had arthritis - a weird pain all the time, and they can't quite figure that out so I'm actually going to the University of Iowa hospital tomorrow they're hopefully going to figure out what's going on with that. But I know the doctor there has been trying.
