Roofing reviews in Sioux City

There are now hundreds of nails sticking through into my parents sunroom, and they are doing nothing to fix it. They had a gorgeous wood ceiling, not a flaw after 2 new roofs over the past 30 years. Premier came out, and used the wrong length of nail, now the ceiling is speckled with nails, and bits of wood blown out. It's been four months, and it's still there. We checked with multiple other roofers, all of whom said independently that the solution is to rip off this roof and install a new one with shorter nails. It's just one part of the roof, so it would only be a small job for a roofing company to fix, but they aren't doing it.

EXCELLENT job on all areas - siding, awning and gutters. The crew was on time every day, did high quality work, very professional, communicated with home owner every day, couldn't be more happy. The price was very reasonable too especially compared to competitors in the Sioux City market. Even our neighbors commented on how nice the home and garage now look. One neighbor used a different siding company and now regret it after they saw our home done. Exact quote -- "Ours looks like a kindergartner did the work in comparison to yours". They also will work with your insurance company as needed. I would "highly" recommend Mullin to anyone!!! I would give an A+!!!

Horrible! It took 3 months to finish a simple job. During that time materials and trash over took every part of my yard and driveway. Garbage and scraps still remain on my yard. As it sits there are gaps where the wooden sheeting under the siding is exposed, it buckles, the new trim is bent and dented. As of yesterday we have even had melting snow bypass and flow behind the gutters and downspouts the side of the home. We have also noticed the new roof is peeling up and buckling as well. The inspector who came to evaluate the percentage of completion stated our house is ruined. Any concerns voiced to contractor we're brushed off and we were told it would be perfect when finished. Not true. Not only did he bill the insurance company for work not done, he also sent us a bill for a completely different amount and then demanded payment to address any concerns. He also threatened to place a lien on the home. And it turns out he was never bonded or licensed as advertised and insurance was minimal. Save yourself from the nightmare we are suffering and find another contractor.

I paid in full, up front for my roof to be completed by a professional. It took more than two months for this to be completed, during which time I was made to expend my time and energy trying to get the situation resolved. I was given excuse after excuse for why the job wasn't completed properly to begin with - from blaming my "rotting" siding to blaming the crew that does the flashing. If you hire Dustin Hoffman Roofing, do not expect him to take ownership for the project, or responsibility for the crews that he hires. Do not expect him to hold himself accountable, even though he is the owner/face of the company. Do not expect to be communicated with like an adult or treated respectfully. And under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you pay in full and up front - that was a rookie mistake on my part. Wait until the entire job is complete to give him the final payment. Better still, hire someone else. If you want all of the ugly details, read this: [*** Link removed ***]

Great - Rob brought several shingle samples for us to choose from, and explained the process very clearly. I thought his price was right. Rob is very friendly and they got our roof torn off and replaced in just a couple of days. They worked until the sun went down, and cleaned up everything afterwards.

They installed a NEW ROOF on my house, and it took them a YEAR to FINALLY GET THE ROOF TO STOP LEAKING, AFTER I TOLD THEM I WAS PLACING THEM ON NOTICE, AND WAS GOING TO REPORT THEM TO ANY / ALL STATE LICENSE BOARDS, BBB AMD SO ON!!!! I HAVE BEEN A LICENSED GENERAL CONTRACTOR FOR 30 YEARS IN CALIFORNIA, AND CAME BACK TO SIOUX CITY TO MAKE REPAIRS TO A HOUSE I OWN AND THEN SELL IT. I HAVE RAN ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS UP TO $50M, AND THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST SUB-CONTRACTORS I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!!!!!!!

Excellent Company!! I spoke with the Owner, Brian, and he said they could perform the work within 2 weeks, and he was able to work me in within 2 days, so as to meet my schedule. Arrived on schedule, performed the work in a timely and expedient manner, and were very Professional. I would recommend this company for any work!!

Big crew of hard workers worked from 7AM to 10PM the first day and 9AM to 3PM the second day and completed all tasks with a careful eye to detail, straightness and quality. At end of job, the crew did complete clean-up of all debris, swept yard with magnet for any roofing nails. All debris was removed from property. Impressive work! This is a father & son team who stress a high level of quality control from their entire roofing crew.

We contacted the company for an estimate and had to call back because no one came after a week. We were using this company because we had been loyal to them and needing to call and remind them that we needed an estimate didn't bother us. When I called back, I told Ann that the house we were reroofing was being sold and that we were closing in July. I assumed she had all the information she needed or she would have asked me for more information. The roofers showed up, we didn't know they were coming, they just showed up. But that was fine because we were loyal to them. They did their work and left. I got the bill and assumed again that Ann had all the info she needed to apply it to the closing and went about life. That was my mistake. A couple of weeks later, Ann called me and made me feel like the biggest dirtbag trying to dodge a bill. She didn't call to help, nor did she call to speak to me with respect. She attacked me from the moment I said hello.

I was so disappointed because I'm not a dirtbag and we liked the work this company did and I was so offended. But I got her the info she wanted and called her back and again, she spoke to me with such utter disrespect. Even when I gave all her all the information she told me she needed. So I asked to speak with the owner. And I apologized for the confusion and I explained that we were not trying to dodge the bill that I had explained the situation to Ann and I thought she would have helped me out a little bit more, but he didn't care. I explained that we wouldn't do business with him anymore and he couldn't care any less.

Long story short. If your realtor tells you to go to a certain company, go to that one. Screw loyalty.
