How did it go? Not so good. The security videos showed that she arrived hours outside the window that she booked him into. When she did not arrive my mid-afternoon on the second day and I had to repeatedly call/message her. She finally came after 9pm - 30 hours between visits! She left a message she would check on him twice the next day, but that did not happen either. She told me my cat hissed at her - which shocked me, since he likes everybody! Security cameras recorded the interaction - ears are up (not back) and no hiss on camera audio. The security time stamps are: 12/23 in at 3:02pm, out at 3:08pm 12/24 in at 9:05pm, out at 9:12pm 12/25 in at 2:09pm, out at 2:16pm

It was a terrific experience! We are very careful about who we let watch our cat when we're gone and have usually used friends or a neighbor to watch him. We never leave him in a kennel when we're out of town. Rachelle is insured, bonded, licensed and professionally certified . . . which said a lot about her approach and business. We met with her prior to leaving town to discuss what she would do, to get to know her, and provide her with a list of things we expected to be done each day. She was very professional. When we got home we found the house in perfect condition -- nothing out of place. The kitty's water bowls were full and clean and his litter box was clean. Best of all, Baxter appeared calm and happy . . . which was a first for us. All the other times we had returned home after a trip he was anxious and cranky . . . and sometimes his food dish or water dish was completely empty and often times his litter box looked like it hadn't been cleaned the entire time we were gone. Rachelle returned our house key the next morning and with it a handmade thank you card addressed to "Mr. Baxter Kitty". It was an excellent way to cap off our delightful experience with Rachelle and GrandPaws Pet Care!

We've been using him for 17 years. He has a really good personal touch with the animals. He knows our animals. We have dogs and cats and he knows them by heart. He's very accommodating when you go in. If there's a problem, he explains everything to you. I just like his personality. He's good with the animals and with people. He's A's across the board.

We usually have our groomer board them if she can. It was 20 dollars per dog per night. I like that the owners live on the same property that the animals are kenneled. In comparison to the care they are giving, I think the price is appropriate.

Janna has been grooming our dogs for a couple of years now. We had been loyal to our old groomer, but started to notice the price was creeping up and we weren't very happy with the service provided. Janna is always friendly and takes great care of our dogs. She does a great job clipping them and making them look beautiful. We also appreciate that she takes the time to comfort one of our dogs who has severe separation anxiety and fear of strangers. She doesn't do anything with bows or bandanas, but we are always happy with the quality of work and the price.

    Zimmerman's Pets
I found their information on a web search for cockatiel breeders. I did not know Sioux City had any local bird breeders and called to immediately arrange a meeting. We went only planing to look at the conditions of the business and their birds. We were greeted by Susan and introduced to the young cockatiels that she had available to take home that day. Nearby was an Umbrella Cockatoo that was tame, talked and only 7 years old but needed to be rehomed. Susan also introduced us, at our request to other grown larger parrots that were surrendered by their owners and in need of a new home. All the larger parrots were tame, all talked and were friendly and appeared happy and well cared for. In the nursery we were introduced to a group of baby cockatiels, we selected one of them and will return in about a month to bring it home. Because it is so young we do not know the s**, she offered the DNA or internal sexing services of the vet she works with from Chicago that ONLY specializes in birds. I declined but appreciated her offer. I recommend Zimmerman's Pets to anyone who currently has a companion bird or is considering becoming a bird parent. They even have hand reared parakeets/budgies for the beginner. I believe we all need to give more business to the small establishments and will be greatly rewarded by their integrity and personal desire to be the best in the area they serve.

    Trails & Tails Pet Grooming
iWhen my husband and I lived in another state we used a home groomer for our beloved pet. So when we moved and inherited a little dog we sought out a home groomer because we prefer this mode of grooming in lieu of taking our dog to a location outside the home. Audry did an excellent job with our pet. She was on time. She brought all her equipment with her. She developed a relationship with our dog and made her comfortable before getting started. Audry is very dedicated to her profession and cares deeply for our pet and the satisfaction of her customer. She is thorough in her clean up. Our little dog looks great. We would highly recommend Audry for your pet grooming se

Everything has gone great so far they even threw in the office call on the first appointment for the kitty since we had rescued him from the humane society. The doctor is very easy to talk to and you never feel rushed.

All my cats are switching or have already switched to this vet. They also, have better hours than usual during the work week if something serious comes up.

They're a little on the expensive side and they're are certainly cheaper vets in town, but in my experience they are worth it.
