    We have had pretty good experience. They were very responsive, but I have placed two claims which they haven't responded to, but I am not sure if it is them, or the people that they contract to. The response was pretty good on a couple of the appliances. I pay them monthly, it is like insurance. They didn't contact us on the ceiling fan. The experience with the dishwasher was fine. It wasn't excellent, but it was good.

    I placed a service call to this provider for electrical outlets and my stove not working, they sub contract to other providers.  It seems like oyu really need to keep after the provider of the service, my oven needed a part and after 90 days I found out the part was no longer able to be replaced, however, I was told somting was being ordered but that never happened.  I called back American Home shield and the rep was very understang and did find out what happen, the sub "SEARS" never was able to get the part and never did tell me.  The service rep from this comapny sent this up to Management for resloution but she could give me no time that would reslove the problem.  2 days later I recived a call form these folks telling me they would replace the stove up to a certian dollar amount or would bring in a new stove.  I elected to have them bring in the new stove which should occure in a day or 2.  The electrical outlets required a 2nd call to this company due to the service sub not being able to make it out to perform the serveice which is still ongoing.

    American Home Shield – Home Warranty
    This was absolutely a dreadful experience. Lets start off at the beginning, we had just purchased our first home in October of the previous year- at the time of purchase we had the hvac system checked, and everything had worked. Moving forward to April first time to kick on the ac- no cold air. Well just call AHS 60/fee we had cold air they needed to put freeon back in to the system that escaped??? Everything is fine and dandy.. for a week the fan on the unit started making some horrible noises- once again calling AHS, since its another service call its another 60/fee.  The service company they had at the time came out said we needed to order a fan- a week after he said this the "new" fan came in.  The service company called to do the install- after the install though our HVAC unit looked horrible- the fan bolts stick clear out of the top of the unit- 1.5-2" with a little nut on top "so its not to hurt anyone" the wires were left dangling in the ac unit- very close to the fan.  This however did not solve the problem fast forward to the next year 2011 April again. Out of freeon again! Since the home warranty expired in October- and this was a new issue (apparently when it leeks out freeon from year to year it is a new issue).  We had the unit replaced ourselves.

    First American Home Buyers Protection Corporation
    Be careful!   My refrigerator went out and they keep putting me off on the repairs (even though medicine is kept in a refrigerator).  I do NOT recommend them.  I asked for a different contractor/repair company and they refused, telling me they can "delay" repairs for as long as they want, that the contract states they can do that!  OMG  I made a BIG mistake going with these people - don't you make the same mistake.  I can't imagine that they wouldn't send out a different company to provide the services.  Choose somebody else - they don't even deserve one star!
