    McFarland Clinic Pc
Great! McFarland just started their urgent care and I see it as going well. Not only did we get in soon, but our doctor was very nice and did not make us mess around with unneeded testing on our son. She understood that he was in pain and knew that someone other then her needed to be the one to treat him correctly. The desk staff was also very nice on the phone and when we arrived.

I went into the emergency room for chest pains. I was brought by ambulance. They treated me like a human being and admitted me for further observation. They took as many tests as was needed and were very nice to me. The tests turned out that I had not had a heart attack, and they let me go home. Thank you Mercy Medical Center.

The wait time was rather long but once in the office things went quickly. Dr. Miller took care of our concerns quickly and professionally.

Saw Dr. Shank and she asked lots of good questions, instructed us on how to treat the infection and signs to look for in the future. Did not rush through visit and was very helpful. It was a good experience.

Been having some pretty intense nerve pain that radiates through my lower back and across my hips, then began the pain started shooting down my left leg and into the calf. I'd first gone to the clinic at Broadlawns, thinking that might be a less expensive option, considering that I'm uninsured, but there I waited for over 2 hours to be seen and then the P.A. rushed me through and didn't discuss what could be the problem or how it might be remedied. They also wouldn't let me know upfront the cost of the office visit, which turned out in the end to be over $200 for what amounted to a 10 minute visit where nothing more than Naproxen was prescribed (which is the generic name for Aleve -- did NO good whatsoever). What a big waste of money. Tried seeing another doctor after that at another clinic who likewise didn't have much to say on the matter and seemed more concerned that I might be trying to gain access to pain-killers under false pretenses. Very aggravating and unhelpful. So then I went back to Mercy, which are the clinics I usually go to, and the doctor at the urgent care clinic did take the time to discuss with me what might be wrong and what the symptoms would be for various maladies. While I cannot afford an MRI to know for certain, based on the information she provided I'm pretty well convinced I'm experiencing sciatica (major nerve pinched in the lower back). The doctor talked to me about ways to orient my body so as to help stretch it out and also mentioned that a chiropractor may be my best bet at this point. She prescribed Prednisone, which did temporarily relieve the irritation, and Cyclobenzaprine for relief so I can get some rest on nights when it's acting up. And that was much more than the other two doctors were willing to take time to do. It looks like I'll be sticking with Mercy clinics from here on out.

Arrive on time/early for my appt. and sat and waited for 35 minutes before the screening personnel called me up to validate my insurance, then I sat back down and waited another 15 minutes before being seen.
