I'm still using them. I've got three units right now because I had to empty my house out, it's very pricey, I think $500. They could offer electric inside of the storage and someone on site. They do have a secured site. I'm always a little nervous, part of it because nobody is ever there and part of it is because someone broke into a unit about 20 years ago and they did not have a gate around it or nothing. It's as safe as any others. They could have someone at least for daytime hours.

    Absolute Garage
They came out June of 2013. The owner himself came out and did the quote, followed up, and did a really good job of recommending what he thought would be best for us, and we've been very happy with it.

    PODS Moving and Storage
Everything went very well. Scheduling, delivery and removing were all easily set up online. When we needed access to our POD that was also done very easily by phone. We were very pleased with this company.

They did a good job and I would use them again.  The system is running well and their price was much more competitive than the servicer I had used in the past.  We did have to reschedule the appointment several times due to weather and the service person being out sick once.

Three movers loaded my possesion and that went so so. There were times when I wanted to close my eyes. I walked by the truck once when a metal snow shovel was thrown into the top of the truck. It hit my dining room table leg. Several items arrived stratched. When the items were unloaded at my new home, the mover sent two people. One was a high-school student. The other was a college student. I was dissapointed that an experienced mover did not show up to at least oversee the process. I felt sorry for the two boys (they were very tired and hot) so told them I would put all the furniture back together. I expected better.

We set up the initial account, despite the language used on the paperwork they had us sign they charged us late fees when a direct deposit was supposed to be set up. When trying to discuss this with the Manager Stephanie she was very hard to communicate with and would not responde to email or telephone calls, we did get charged when it was her fault she had forgot to set up the direct deposit. When giving our ten day notice to stop using the facility we left numerous messages with Stephanie the manager, sent two emails, and never heard back. We finally called another office to confirm that she was notified and we would not be charged for December. It was very frustrating working with her.

It didn't do very well at all. They didn't inventory anything. I had called them three times to come out and do the job they were supposed to do, and it still never got done. I have had to take them to court. This has cost me $120, my wife had to miss out on work for the whole day. $2886 worth of things were missing after this whole ordeal. I had spoken with them numerous times starting in October, and still, nothing has been taken care of. They even misplaced all of the Christmas ornaments that my wife and I made in grade school, and even the ones that my children had made in grade school.

Campus Fortress staff were confused about the rates for a 10x30 climate controlled unit.  I was intially quoted the rate for the non-climate controlled.  I brought it to the representative's attention that the rate seemed low and the 2nd quote was a bit higher, but when I asked how much the actual monthly cost was the representative did not know.  She spoke w/ someone else off the phone, then came back with revised rates.  I was not pleased that the rates were different from the website, the lease application, and now on the phone.  As I thought about it, I decided that the company was not very professional.  I chided the representative a bit about the varying rates, but she appeared to be an inexperienced staff person.  She told me her supervisor apologized for the different rates. I told her that I would be looking at other companies and to cancel the unit.  I was surprised to see that my credit card was charged the next day.  I asked for a full refund, but the company has declined to process.  They insist that I am liable for the prorated fees for January even though I cancelled the agreement before I hung up the phone and have not used the storage unit.  I have contacted them 3 times for a full refund and have reported them to the Iowa Better Business Bureau. UPDATE:  January 2015 - The company refunded my payment to my credit card.

They did not do inventory on my belongings before they put in storage. When they brought my belongings back to me I noticed that they ended up stealing about $5000 worth of belongings from me. I even took them to small claims court to get my belongings.
