    Kinetic Edge Physical Therapy
I had a previous great experience seeing Rick Hill at Kinetic Edge in the spring of 2015. My 2015 course of treatment is the magical experience that is most relevant to whether you should make an appointment with Rick. My most recent 2016 experience with my foot is a return visit based on the trust he built by helping me with my hip in 2015.  Between February and May 2015, Rick worked with me to overcome chronic pain I had been having with my hip. His initial evaluation was thorough and he took an extensive history. He really sought to understand my problem, and I could tell he had genuine interest in giving me a solution. I was impressed by his professionalism and his bedside manner.  After the evaluation, he showed me a warm-up stretching routine and strengthening exercises. As I followed his course over the weeks and months, he had me increase the difficulties of the movements and vary them to avoid adaptation (and boredom). My hip has been feeling so much better since. Naturally, I have incorporated the movements into my regular exercise routine. My most recent experience involves a sprained right foot. I saw the doctor, did RICE, and immediately after getting off the prescribed knee scooter, I saw Rick to begin to regain strength and mobility. He went through a similar evaluation and history as before and gave me exercises that will allow me to rebuild strength in my foot. He told me that if I continue the exercises, I should be able to get back to normal activity sooner and have fewer foot injuries going forward. I hope he's right. If history is a guide, he is.  If you can't tell, I'm a big fan of Rick, both his bedside manner and his approach. It's too bad that I need his services only when I'm banged up.

I recommend everyone to Steve Clark. He was once a key Instructor at Des Moines University of Osteopathic medicine for PT students. His knowledge of combined traditional and holistic alternatives for physical therapy is vast. He is up on the latest techniques being used all around the world. You are in good hands if you choose this practice.

I was having leg, hip, and back pain. Before ordering an MRI, doctors in Iowa have to recommend Physical Therapy for patients with BC/BS. I went to about 10 sessions. The Therapist tried numerous remedies, but when it became apparent they couldn't help me, they referred me back to my doctor. They were very thorough, but it turned out to be something they couldn't help.

I have seen 3 of the providers at the Westown Parkway Office and I am very happy with the treatments. I have been to a number of Physical Therapist in the past without getting much relief and when my Rheumatologist recommend this office over 7 years ago I was a bit sceptical, but I am so happy that I went for that first appointment. The staff shows compassion and act as though they are generally concerned about you as a whole person not just a symptom. Some days it seems I can barely walk into the office but I am always better able to move when I leave. They treat my issues with pain differently than any other PT's have. It is more hands on stretching and manipulating of my muscles. They do not use ultrasound and muscle stimulation as primary treatments like many of the other offices I have been to. I have had great success and I am thankful for finding Core Physical Therapy.

It's a facility, I don't have anything to compare it to, I haven't been anywhere else. It's clean and the people are nice and friendly.

I was having pain and the therapist was able to assess my pain, treat me and give me stretches to work on at home.  These appts relieved my pain and I would go back if these same symptoms return.   I had a total of 7therapy visits over about 3 months

A special thanks to Ann Cooper (co-owner of BVPT) and the rest of the physical therapy staff for all of their hard work and dedication to their profession and for truly caring about their patients! This is honestly the best physical therapy office I have ever been to and I've been to many in different states. They are the ones that truly made a difference and helped me recover from my back injury in a way that no other place compared to. Their 1:1 (therapist:patient) approach makes you feel important as they are dedicating time just to you to get better! They have highly trained, competent physical therapists. When I moved to their area, I visited 6-7 different clinics before I chose them! They made a great first impression on me: after talking to Ryan, one of the other owners, he was confident that they could help me! Having a confident therapist makes all the difference; someone that strives everyday to improve the lives of their patients. That's what I was looking for and what I'm sure everyone is looking for in health care professionals. I actually looked forward to going to physical therapy with Ann and seeing all the other therapists there as well. You get to know everyone and they get to know you! I would highly recommend them to anyone needing physical therapy for a multitude of injuries. They do it all! For example, I observed them treating patients of all ages with knee injuries, surgery recoveries, back and neck injuries, sprained ankles, sports injuries, shoulder and hand injuries, patient's battling with chronic pain...the list goes on. They have a large workout/exercise room with lots of equipment and therapy tables. They also have private therapy rooms for manual therapy and other treatments. They have updated treatment modalities like: Game Ready Ice Therapy, E-Stem/Electrical Stem, and Moist Heat. Depending on your reason for therapy, they will develop an individualized plan for you to help you make strides towards recovery. Give them a try first and you'll experience first hand why they are so highly rated and why they are known as the best around! I can proudly say I "was" a patient of theirs and have now been able to move forward because of them! They challenge you and push you to get better! Thanks Ann for everything you did for me and for your friendship! Couldn't have done it without you! :)
