As a bidder (buyer) it is excellent. You can see the items on their website, and call in a bid according to how much you are willing to pay. I have done this several times, and actually won the bid for a lower price than I submitted. So they are honest in that regard. Or, you can attend the auction live and bid accordingly. They also give you up to three days to pick up items you won. Many action houses demand you take everything the day of the auction, no exceptions.  I have no problem with that end of the business, as a bidder (buyer). As a seller, my experiences were all nightmares. They tell you it takes up to two weeks to get your settlement check. The first time I put up items which were sold,  I heard nothing for three weeks. I called, they said something about a family member having some type of medical problem, but they would send the money ASAP.  Another week passes and nothing. Call again. This time one of the guys is doing the settlements who is not use to doing them. But he had just finished mine, and would get it out that afternoon (Thursday). The following Monday still hadn't received it, so called again. Anyway, finally received it three days later. That was over four weeks. And the settlement was $102   Put a lot more items in the next auction. My total settlement can to over $700. This time it took nearly five weeks to get, and the check bounced. When the bank ran it through a second time it cleared, but cost me $2.00 for the first time it bounced.  I then put in a few more items, probably worth about $20.00 That was six weeks ago and still have heard or received nothing. So basically just blew it off figuring it's not worth fighting over. I will update this when or if, they ever send me my settlement.

I saw them on the newspaper.  I chose them because I knew their services.  I had been to their sales and I used them for the first time.  Overall, their service was poor as it wasn't a good sale.

BAD!  They didn't want to clear the title, I had to have my attorney do it, and then to top it off, after I closed on the property, a vendor commissioned by AUCTION.COM/CARRINGTON MORTGAGE broke into my property, rekeyed it, stole items of value and damaged the siding.  They insulted me by not telling me who they were, but I found out anyway, and then added insult to injury by telling me nothing of value was stolen. I would NEVER TRUST THIS COMPANY.
