Badly. In removing the devise (which he had inserted several months earlier), Dr. created a large hole in my ear drum which led to the loss of hearing in that ear. He failed to warn me that this was a possible outcome of the procedure. Subsequent operations failed to restore my earring.

I've been seeing Dr. Nisley for about a year and a half. The thing I like most about her is that she doesn't ignore your worries. She is very good about explaining things clearly so I don't have unanswered questions. I'm giving a low score on communication because it has been difficult to get a response through MyChart. Typically a nurse will reply that the message has been forwarded to Dr.Nisley. But it can take days to get a response from her. Another doctor I've seen at Iowa River Crossing replies directly to the patient on MyChart and on the same day.

I use the Mercy services for almost every thing because my insurance covered. They are good, i finally found the heart doctor i like because it is had to find some one who can do preventive medicine, they do not want to see you for more than 10 mins, they just want to write you a prescription and call you it good, and it is had to find some one that can actually talk to you on how to prevent problems not how to swallow the pills. The receptionist is a little beat crabby and i wood fir her if i had the power and the other two are a nice. She is not helpful.

She takes plenty of time and addresses all my concerns. Shegives latest recommendations on needed screenings and treatment options. Can cite research on why she recommends what she does. Very responsive regarding requests for med refills. Could not be happier with my care.

I like their ability to get me in after an appointment within the time frame. They have medically skilled doctors and are also dental friendly. I use them because they are preferred provider for my insurance and it cost me more to go to the University of Iowa.

I went to the University of Iowa River Landing in Coralville; the facility is convenient and lovely, the staff helpful, and the doctors I met were excellent.  There is a bit of a wait to get in to see a doctor (a couple of months in my case, but I didn't have any real concerns to address either), but I'll be using this clinic in the future.

From day one of the surgery things went down hill. Surgery started hours late but that I understand since they have no idea exactly how long the surgeries before will actually take. The initial surgery went fine so it seemed. Then I was in recovery way longer than expected with no explanation given to me later, matter of fact I never saw the anethesiologist after the surgery-never.
I have had this surgery 3 other times so I know what to expect, this time I was so over drugs that I don't remember the first night, my insides were virtually numb for almost 6 weeks ( bowels not functioning or bladder very well) with no explanation.
After going home I continued to be sick and couldn't hardly eat. On the days where I was really sick I called the hospital. One of the days I called the department 3 times and never got a return call. I ended up call the emergency room after hours and they still didn't seem concerned. After several more days and down 17 pounds I called again and they didn't seem concerned and could schedule me an appt. next week. I was so sick that I had someone take me to the emergency room where I was admitted with an infection. I ended up back in the hospital for another 12 day, malnourished. The day I left I told the doctor that this was the worst, and made it clear as to how many times I had called. He then admitted that they had some problems going on in their department. At least he admitted it at the tune of a $40,000 stay.

It is always easy to get in to see them. Unlike other main hospitals and clinics the office has free parking and they have a long walk to get in to the door and that's why is switched over to going to there. This particular office is set up in the main campus.

Depends. Some of the doctors are really good and checked you up really carefully to make sure you were okay. Some doctors just couldn't wait for it to be over. I've had one female doctor, when I mentioned to her a symptom that was related to my sickness, but was not the reason I was seen that day, she actually asked me to make another appointment with her to deal with that! Just couldn't spend another five minutes with me!

I was given a diagnosis of pre-cancer after another doctor had continually treated me for a yeast infection. Because of the careful treatment I received at University of Iowa, I am now cancer free. All of the staff have been warm, caring and treated me with respect.
As a 3 time cancer survivor, I can freely say that without the kind of support the doctors, nurses and staff of U of I gives its patients, it is all too easy to give up the fight.
