    Nicole Nisly MD
I've been seeing Dr. Nisley for about a year and a half. The thing I like most about her is that she doesn't ignore your worries. She is very good about explaining things clearly so I don't have unanswered questions. I'm giving a low score on communication because it has been difficult to get a response through MyChart. Typically a nurse will reply that the message has been forwarded to Dr.Nisley. But it can take days to get a response from her. Another doctor I've seen at Iowa River Crossing replies directly to the patient on MyChart and on the same day.

She takes plenty of time and addresses all my concerns. Shegives latest recommendations on needed screenings and treatment options. Can cite research on why she recommends what she does. Very responsive regarding requests for med refills. Could not be happier with my care.

University Of Iowa Hospital & Clinic
I went to the University of Iowa River Landing in Coralville; the facility is convenient and lovely, the staff helpful, and the doctors I met were excellent.  There is a bit of a wait to get in to see a doctor (a couple of months in my case, but I didn't have any real concerns to address either), but I'll be using this clinic in the future.

    Donelson, Dr. Christina C
Dr. Donelson is just got a really great way to deal with people. She's very straightforward, lowkey but careful. The first time that I went to her she did a very complete physical. Then in subsequent visits mostly she just talks to me and asks if I have any problems. She just clearly knows what she is doing. They always say that doctors can learn more from talking to you in some respects than checking you out, I mean, she does check things but a lot of it just talking to me and seeing if there is any issues. Any questions I have she just has a fantastic bedside manner, just the way she interacts with people. Very, very nice person, very efficient. Just a calm even approach to things.
That's the other thing that I really like there is the environment in her office. Her nurse is just a very nice person as well. You walk in there and it is a warm, friendly environment, very positive.

    Towncrest Internal Medicine
My doctor, Maureen Connolly, left the practice. Now I understand why. Not only was I not transferred to the doctor I was told would be taking over for her, but I cannot reach the doctor I had to choose by default. In fact, after hours, I cannot reach anyone. I am now out of my hypertension/heart medication and unable to so much as leave a message for the new doctor. Both the ER and my pharmacy have informed me of the negative consequences of abruptly discontining this medication. I guess I'll leave notes about this in case I die. Towncrest Internal Medicine is not about patient care. I am sad.

Dr. Goerdt is a warm, confident, thorough physician with excellent follow through. While this most recent appointment was a "check in" to see how things were going, the happy ending is that everything is going very well -- the blood work that he ordered several days before my appointment was ready for his review and he carefully explained the meaning of all the available data.

    Richard Leblond MD
I go here for routing management of chronic issues and when I have new medical issues. I find the doctors and staff very knowledgeable and always on top of what the latest information on a disease. They don't rely on medicine they learned in medical school, they are constantly learning and teaching as well. This has been particularly helpful when a given treatment, that may be the standard, just doesn't work. Together my Dr and I find one that works.
